Chapter 1
I gazed at the sakura tree. It was so beautiful. I was born under this tree, then my mom and dad left me there. I don't remember their faces or what they look like. I always wondered why My parents left me. Most importantly, they left me under a tree. Why couldn't they have left me at an orphanage where they actually take care of kids?
Instead, they left me under a tree with 300 dollars under my blanket. With those 300 dollars, I bought a mansion and lived by myself. I have a garden, where I would grow food. I cooked/ate that food, because it was the only thing I had. I got the seeds for the plants when I was 2, because some kind people gave it to me.
I planted it and made my own meals. I have no friends. I have purple hair that is braided at the front. The money I get is from the crops I sell. I get 100 dollars a month. From that money, I buy clothes. I buy other things as well.
The leaves of the sakura tree rustled softly. Whenever I thought of the many reasons my parents Could've left me, helpless and cold, with only mother nature on my side, I get nostalgic, and I start to cry. I'm crying right now. I sit under the tree and cry.
The wind blew hard, and the tree's leaves swayed softly, creating a soft Ocean-like noise. From the ground, I spotted something white. The dirt blew away, and the white thing revealed its self to be a paper. I grabbed the paper and wiped some dust off it. I read the note out loud. "Dear Tomoko Kaname,
These are your parents. By the time you read this, it means we are dead. We left you because we had to. The sakura tree we left you under, is special. Please guard it with your life, and make sure nothing happens to it. If something does happen to it, you will reach a consequence that will be the most terrible thing you'll have to deal with.
We truly are sorry for leaving you, Parents <3" I clutched the note in my hands. Dead...? I felt a stinging pain on my thumb. I looked to it, and saw I had a paper cut. Blood rained down from my finger onto the note, as well as tears. Why...? Why is this happening to a girl like me...? I wrapped the note into a ball and wrinkled it, and threw it to the ground. "Mom and dad, I promise I'll take care of this tree!" I vowed.
I wiped my tears and smiled. Then, I went back into my house and closed the door. I ate a grape and hurried off to bed. Tomorrow is the start of a new life! For I, Tomoko Kaname, have vowed to care for the tree for as long as I live!
