Chapter 4
3rd Person's Pov
Chirin had finished her bet with Sasuke after she and the boys played Tag and other unusual games to her.
Sasuke was the first one to quit and head home, Chirin walked Naruto back, she didn't like the glares they gave Naruto when she and Naruto passed by the villagers.
She head home after dropping Naruto at his house. The girl walked past shops and people, there was a crowd gathering. Chirin joined the crowd by forcing her way through to see what's the commotion.
What peaked her curiosity was a dog there. Rather, a medium sized dog. Two people are communicating with the dog and trying to grab him, a girl and a boy with red upside down triangles which look a lot like fangs.
“What are you doing to the dog?” she said with concern lacing her voice.
“We're trying to catch him, he needs to be euthanized because nobody wants him.”
“Why doesn't anyone want him?” she asked without a hint of emotion.
A villager next to her spoke up, “That's because he's part pitbull and wolf. No one likes to adopt such creatures like them.”
“I want him.” She replied in a fast acting manner.
“What?!” the woman shouted so suddenly, that everyone covered their ears.
“I want him.” she repeated, the black and brown dog came to her, Chrin leaned down and scratched his ears then she looked at the woman and the kid who was about her age.
“Kid, are you sure you want him? I mean, he's still young, but—” the woman sighed in defeat.
“I hate to break it to you, but I need your parents permission in order to get him.”
The dog wagged his tail happily at Chirin.
“I don't have parents.” Somehow, coming from her mouth. The words felt like a lie to her. Her conscience felt it.
“Any other guardian?” the woman questioned her. The crowd began to walk away, not interested in their conversation.
Before Chirin spoke up, an old voice interrupted her. “I'll sign it, I'm her grandfather after all.”
Her face remained blank, the woman's face changed into shock. “Mr. Shimura?!” she quickly regained her composure. “Yes, of course. Right away, could you two please follow me and Kiba?”
Danzo and Chirin began following her as instructed, he glanced at his granddaughter.
“I passed all the tests as you instructed, Grandfather. I'll be in school next week.”
She said while walking straight, the boy, Kiba heard her and slowed down his pace to be right beside her. “Oh! Do’ya think we'll be in the same class together?”
Danzo looked away, Chirin nods her head briefly. “I suppose so.”
“Ah! My name is Inuzuka Kiba, nice to meet you!”
“Shimura Chirin, please to make your acquaintance, Kiba-San.”
Kiba placed his arms behind his head and chuckled.
“There's no need for formalities, Rin-chan!” he gave out a giant grin, looking at her as they near the Inuzuka compound.
“Alright, Kiba-kun.”
“That's what I'm talking about!” he grinned wolfishly.
Danzo asked Chirin what she wanted to name the dog, “Kurodayu.” she replied, the old man nodded.
Danzo and the woman that seems to be Kiba's mom head in the house to work out paperwork while the kids stayed outside. Chirin pets the dog that she wanted.
Something struck Kiba and he looked at Chirin.
“I'm glad you decide to adopt him, I didn't want him to be put down, that's why I let him out.”
He said softly with a small smile then a shoe came flying from the window and hit Kiba in the back of the head.
“Ow!”
He shrieked, rubbing the back of his now sore head with small tears coming out.
“I shoulda known it was you, Kiba!”
Another voice shouted, it was different from the woman's voice.
“So what if it was me! He didn't deserve to die, Hana-baka!”
The girl came into view from the window, she began yelling insults that Chirin ignored until she couldn't take it.
“Can you please not be mean to Kiba-kun, Hana-san?” She asked bluntly.
It was a few minutes before Hana responded.
“Alright, kid. But next time he does something like that again, he's not going to be forgiven.”
Footsteps had retreated, “You hear me, you brat! Be glad your friend saved you!”
“Ah! Just go away, you shitty sister!” Kiba yelled in annoyance which earned him another shoe to the head.
Chirin crawled over to where Kiba is sitting, she pat his head gently. Her action took Kiba by surprise, his cheeks were tinted with pink due to her being so close.
“There, there. You feel better already, Kiba-kun?”
Inside the house*
“Ma! Look!”
Hana exclaimed with a blush on her face as she waved her mother over here.
“What is it?”
The mom walked over to Hana and looked outside the window where Hana was pointing. There sitting on the grass was Danzo's granddaughter petting Kiba who has a blush on his face.
“Well, you don't see that everyday. They look so cute together!” she said with a wolfish grin.
Danzo had finished the adoption paperwork and went to see what the Inuzuka’s were gossiping about.
He saw Chirin hugging Kurodayu and most of the dogs surrounded her all over like they were hers.
“Haha! You've been dog piled, Rin-chan!” Then a white small dog jumped on her head, Kiba noticed this. His face was priceless, “Hey, Akamaru! I thought you liked me more!”
Akamaru yipped, “Whaa—?” he stood up and yelled at his dog, “Whaddya mean I'm too loud?!”
“You are too loud, you're yelling, Kibaka.”
Kiba let out a gasp, pointing a finger at her.
“Not you too!”
All the dogs barked at him, Kiba looked so shocked and fell to the ground like he was dead weight.
Danzo sighed, he turned around to find a chair to sit once until the Inuzuka's were done with the collar.
Outside*
Chirin forced her way out of the dog pile with Akamaru still on her head.
She sat on her legs next to Kiba's head then forcibly pulled his head, putting them on her legs.
“There, there. You're not always that bad, Kibaka.” she said softly.
“Please don't call me that… “ he mumbled into her lap.
“You're my Kibaka.” she said bluntly while brushing his hair with her hand.
Kiba's head shot up from the six year old's lap, his cheeks were redder than before. “Whaaat?!” he suddenly changed his expression to an embarrassed smile, scratching his cheek with the pointer finger.
“O-okay. Only you can call me that.” He stuttered with a crooked smile.
She blinked at him, but before she can say anything. The door opened, revealing Danzo with a red collar, along with a matching leash, and a silver tag.
“We must go home, but first, put this on him.” Danzo ordered.
She stood up, taking the collar from Danzo then she started back to where her dog is.
Chirin bent down and fasten the collar on then fixing it.
“Welcome to the family, Kurodayu.”
She said with her arms open wide, the pitbull mix jumped on her, giving her slobbery kisses until Danzo called him off, but he didn't obey.
“Off, boy.” she ordered and off of her Kurodayu went.
She waved at Kiba, “I'll see you in school, Rin-chan!”
Kiba's shout made the dogs pile him, he screamed in horror, desperately trying to get out. Chirin waves bye with a blank face, leaving Kiba to his demise.
Ah, yes. What a wonderful friend she is.
Danzo shut the gate as she held his hand and her dog's body. Danzo made handsigns which teleported them back inside the house.
“Report.”
“I have passed successfully, but Mizuki seems to be suspicious of me. I could tell he knew I was holding back, shall I eliminate him?.” she gave her report and the Shimura man took his time thinking before he said anything. “No need, I don't need you to waste your time on the likes of him.”
But before he went to his room, he glanced over his shoulder, “The dog is a present from me because you passed the test. Consider yourself lucky, weapon. Train him, but he won't be on the missions you're going.”
“Only on regular missions with a team?” she asked as Kurodayu roamed the house, sniffing at everything in sight.
“Yes.” Danzo said as he shut the door to his room, Chirin made dinner for herself, Danzo and Kurodayu then she went to bed with the dog on her legs.
“Goodnight, Kurodayu.”
Kurodayu barked softly at her.
She shut her eyes.
“Mission accomplished.”
The voice sounded oddly metal and soft.
She opened her eyes, looking at her dog sleeping. Her eyes scanned the room then she fell asleep forcibly. She didn't want Danzo took punish her for looking so tired.
“Beware of yourself.”
The voice echoed in her mind, the white haired girl ignored it.
Ah! I promised, didn't I?
Chapter four!
Probably going to make chapter five when I get out of work.
Mmhm.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
Please don't hesitate to speak your mind here!
It would help a lot!
Am I going too fast with the story?
I mean, I did skip the tag with Sasuke, Naruto and Chirin, but I didn't know how to write it.
Please don't be a ghost reader.
It would help a lot if you commented, is that too much to ask?
Anyways, I should try to do a sketch of Chirin or at least find some ninja clothes that suit her.
Don't worry, if I can't sketch Kurodayu, I can find him online.
Thank you for your time!
Goodnight!
