Mayu tries her best to always keep a positive attitude and at the same time, hopes to make other people smile. When she was young, she attempted to make a thousand paper cranes for her sick father and always believed that paper cranes are meant to make people smile. Now that she's the one receiving it, Mayu, together with her friends decide to find the mystery behind it.

He is a Vincent Van Gogh fan and loves to paint but this could be the cause of an unexpected condition. But would he let this condition hold him back? Or would this push him to pursue his dreams and Mayu?

One of Mayu's bestfriends. He loves books and rock and joins the Book Lovers club. He also plays bass in the school band together with his buddies, Shuuhei and Jun. Aside from school activities, he works parttime job in Book Off. Daisuke is often called a "robot guy" by Kaoru because he's rather practical and intellectual rather than emotional. Despite that, he remains a very good friend to the girls and often gives Mayu sensible advices regarding her thoughts about the mystery of the cranes.

The girl who simple loves Jdrama and idolizes Masahiro Higashide. She is the romantic type and always feeds Mayu with romance possibilities about the paper crane guy. She invented the name "mystery romeo" and suggested to go through with investigating who is behind the mysterious paper cranes.
