*a few days later *
good morning phil, this is dan. how are you?
i send it, there is no going back now.
i pondered on what to send him ever since he gave me his number and i just had to write something, anything, now. i stare at the screen for a few more seconds, overthinking what i wrote.
was it not casual enough? should i have used texting lingo- abbreviating the 'are' with a simple 'r' and the 'you' with an 'u'? he is probably too busy to reply to the text anyways, let alone read the message.
locking the device, i throw it next to me carelessly, seeing it bounce on top of one of the pillows on my sofa, not expecting the phone to vibrate, which would indicate a new message, any time soon.
i am more than surprised when, not even a minute after, it does despite my doubts.
extending my arm, i grasp and unlock it, checking the new message.
good morning, dan. i hope you slept well! i was wondering when i would hear from you! i'm good, you?
me, too, thanks for asking. i did, i hope you had a goodnight's rest as well!
i lie down on my couch, resting my head on one of the couch arms, holding my phone above my head with the help of both of my hands, my arms fully extended.
it could've been better, tbh. hey, what are you up to today?
nothing much, really. i was just going to write.
i am about to send another message, asking him what he is up to today, when i feel my phone vibrate slightly.
do you want to tell me what you're writing about over coffee? meet me @ the following address in two hours if you're up to it.
i squint my eyes to see if i read correctly.
i would get to have coffee with phil lester. phil and i would have coffee.
my phone falls flat on my face.
getting up to get ready, knowing that i would take at least an hour to decide on what to wear, i rub my nose in the process of going into the bathroom to take a shower, my phone rings again, showing me that phil has sent me the address to'café sur le lot' which was apparently on the southwest end of french street. i have never been there before but am aware of the fact that one of the scenes from 'casablanca' was filmed in the vicinity.

i text dan the address, more than happy that luna arranged to have dan be allowed to tag along on set today. he will get to meet his filmmaking idol and i couldn't wait to see the radiating happiness in his dark eyes.
when i asked luna to try and arrange this yesterday, she was nearly as excited as myself.
she tried to question me about what i think of dan and wether she could invite him along more often and i simply told her i clearly wouldn't mind. then i tried to get her to talk about why she asked and if she had talked to dan about me, which she wouldn't answer.
"hey luna?" i had asked at some point, "did you tell dan about me and harriette or do i have to lie in front of him as well?"
"well, it's complicated....." was all she had said before changing the subject, "did you read the latest edition of 'lifestyle digest'? and, hey, you do have yo0ur script memorised, haven't you?"
____
"that's a wrap." the director announces, "good job, everybody, take a break!"
i take a look at my watch, about ten minutes left until i should head down to the coffee shop, where i would meet dan.
i smile at the other actors and actresses who are part of the scene we just finished shooting and two of them ask me if i'd like to join them for a snack. i assure them that i'll join them next time as i already have plans but thank them for asking me and they understand, waving as they go.
making my way over to luna, who is standing by edward, she pats my back and monrough tells me i did a good job. i thank them and ask a question about the upcoming scene before telling them that i will see them in half an hour.
sitting down at a nice looking table with two wooden chairs opposite of each other outside of the café, i take a look at my watch again, seeing that it was already two minutes after the time dan and i agreed on.
when i look up i see him approaching me, taking in the free seat. he is wearing a white t-shirt which proves something luna once told me wrong, she stated dan would only ever wear black.
"hi." i smile.
"hello." he greets back.
"did you find this place easily?" i ask, knowing that it must've been a bit hard, which is one of the many reasons i liked this little coffee shop.i have never been bothered by paparazzi whilst grabbing something to eat or drink here before.
he nods, "you look tired, phil. stressful day, huh?"
"yeah, we started filming yesterday." i inform him, not telling him about the nightmares, i haven't told anybody so far, besides harriette. not even luna knows.
after one of the waitresses jots down our order, i fish out my sunglasses, the yellow-orange parasol not really doing much to protect me from the sunlight blending me directly from behind dan.
"so, what were you going to write about, if i may ask?"
"i have this idea, i don't know if it's good yet but i basically want to turn my short into a script for a full-length movie, so i would've elaborated on what i already have."
"i'm sure it's great, i got a sneak peak of your work the other day, sadly not having had the time to watch everything but i love what i saw!" i smile.
"really?" he asks and i nod.
two blue mugs are placed in front of us on the table. "thanks" dan smiles at the waitress.
we talk a bit more about work and i make a mental note to check out every other short film of dan's that i havent seen yet. i place my mug back on to the table after having emptied it of its contents.
"do you want to join me on set today?" i ask dan hopefully, "i would appreciate your feedback on the upcoming scene." i am honestly a bit afraid that i won't be able to portray the emotions like edward told me earlier.
"i would love to." he nods vigorously, laughing lightly, "but be warned, i'll probably never leave again."
