Your p.o.v.  

Another party, I swear cirrus is always dragging me to parties. Every time I go to one it ends up with a bunch of adults talking amongst themselves, drinking, laughing, just bullshit. I can remember going to parties where there were little kids running around and driving me absolutely crazy. 

"Oh, come now Y/N, you might find someone you like." I heard her saying those words to me when spoke to me about it earlier this evening. I told her I was not interested and was going to just go for a walk near the cathedral and then just go to my room and listen to music. She did not like my excuses, so she told me to just go for a while, maybe an hour, and then go back. I had no choice but to agree. I hoped it would settle things. 

I got ready, putting on a pair of black jeans which a few rips on the leg and on the knees, a band t-shirt with the image of b/n on it, black shoes, and paired it with my leather jacket. I didn't bother putting on makeup because I was lazy and fixed my hair a bit so it would look presentable at least. I threw on my favorite necklace and rings before taking one last look in the mirror. I looked decent enough. 

I left my room and headed towards a house not far from the cathedral where the ghouls were. I couldn't help but think of another thing that cirrus said to me. "I was told our new papa will be there, if you don't see him then you'll end up finding out before we hit the road again." 

It did leave me a bit curious not going to lie. I entered the house and was greeted by Omega who had a beer in his hand. "Hey Y/N, you made it." he said with a warm smile. "Hey Omega." I replied without looking at him. Omega didn't take notice of how I responded and walked away, I guess the alcohol was already sinking in. 

I just treated myself to a plate of food which was really good thanks to the ghoulettes and some of the ghouls who actually make the best food in the clergy. While I was finishing up I saw Alpha approaching me, he looked like he wanted to tell me something by the looks of him. "Hey Y/N, have you met papa yet?" he asked. 

 "I have not why?" I replied. 

  "Come on I'll introduce you." he took me by the hand and led me over to where this new papa was. I didn't see him at first because air ghoul being the tall one that he is was in the way. Once he moved my eyes locked on the strange man across from me. He was very tall and the skull paint on his face was strikingly beautiful. He seemed to be much younger than primo. I caught him glancing at me which made me blush and look away. Soon enough he noticed Alpha and said hello, and it did not take long for the new papa to notice me. 

   "Now who is this?" he asked. 

    "This is Y/N, she travels a lot with us while we are on tour." explained Alpha. "She's in charge of the lights, and I must say she never misses a beat." 

    Alpha was really making me blush like an idiot, I had to admit I was very good at doing the lights at all of the rituals. I never missed. 

   "Well, I look forward to seeing this one in action. The pleasure is mine miss y/n." he said and bent to kiss my hand. 

   "Forgive me I am Papa Emeritus II, but you may call me Segundo if you like." 

   "Very good Segundo, I look forward to our next ritual." 

I ended up speaking to Segundo a few times which was a bit surprising to me for a first meeting, I must have felt comfortable enough. I stayed at the party for a little over an hour before deciding to head back. I was about to go inside the house when I found a note at my doorstep, I bent to pick it up and opened it. It was a note written in somewhat good English which made me chuckle a bit. 

    Miss Y/N, 

      forgive me if I am being a bit strange. I think you know what I mean. Anyway, I want to know would you like to spend an evening with me? if yes meet me near the cathedral.

I chuckled and folded the letter and placed it in my pocket. Thinking I might consider papa's offer.
