It all starts with two sisters. One is on a quest for justice in the world, while the other unknowingly serves a darker purpose. Grief and anger tear them apart, turning them into strangers. Then, one fateful day, Haruki, the younger sister, stumbles upon a disturbing revelation while working on an assignment for her boss, Lee Chaolan. She unexpectedly encounters her sister, Nanami, and their interaction is as incompatible as oil and water in a blender.

This reunion unveils a long-banned project from years past—the Ogre Virus, currently under development by G Corporation. This deadly mix threatens chaos and humanity's very existence. Haruki wastes no time in sharing her discovery with Lee, just moments after Kazuya Mishima announces Iron Fist 8, a competition whose prize remains shrouded in secrecy. Kazuya insists it's a prize worth winning, but Lee suspects it might be a smokescreen for the virus. Determined to unravel the mystery, Haruki and Lee decide to enter a fighter called Ichiro Kimura into the competition as a means to spy on Nanami and G Corporation.*

On the day of the semi-finals, Lee inquires if Haruki discovered anything during her lunch outing. She replies in the negative, but she notes that her relationship with her sister is gradually on the mend. Lee, however, cautioned Haruki against getting overly hopeful, suggesting that Nanami might have ulterior motives. Haruki disagreed with this notion, leading to a heated argument between her and Lee. Unbeknownst to them, Ichiro overheard their disagreement from a distance.

The situation worsens when Ichiro reaches the finals. Haruki plans to meet Nanami but overhears her and Kazuya discussing the virus's imminent launch after the match. Nanami's betrayal shatters their trust and the sisterly gift. As chaos erupts, an unknown gang takes control.

Amid the turmoil, Haruki finds herself surrounded but is saved by Lee. They flee to the rooftop, facing Kazuya. Lee instructs Haruki to stop Nanami while he confronts Kazuya. Haruki searches but encounters Ichiro, who reveals his betrayal. A fierce clash follows, ending with Haruki taking Ichiro's life.
Inside a room, Haruki discovers the virus's control centre, and to her astonishment, Nanami operates it. Nanami confesses to decoding the missing virus element during their lunch, a revelation that stuns Haruki. She suddenly remembers her careless disclosure during their meal. Realizing her mistake, she desperately tries to halt the virus launch.

Both sisters, armed, confront each other. Initially, Haruki gains the upper hand, but Kazuya betrays her by stabbing her in the back. Haruki falls, bleeding profusely. Seizing the moment, Nanami rushes to the controls but fails to launch the virus. Frustrated, she triggers a chain reaction, rupturing the virus tank, and endangering all inside.*
