12- Dear Diary
WILL POV -
"Today was totally unreal. Do you think this Is how an actor's day always is?" Max raved kicking back in her seat, she fiddled with the seatbelt. The boy had his hazel eyes on the road routinely glancing at his friend. They sang the songs blasting from the radio, bursting into tears from laughter.
The pair were inseparable, people often mistook them for a couple. They were definitely not each other's types; on account of Will being very much gay. If Will was being completely honest, he didn't even know what his type was, but he knew whatever it was Mike fits it.
The chestnut haired boy was snapped out of his thoughts by a sharp feeling poking into his side
"You missed my house! Reverse this car I need my beauty sleep! " Max cackled, causing Will to jump. He loves Max like a sister, but she terrifies him. Will nods reversing the car. She exits the vehicle waving goodbye
"Now get your ass into bed, you need to look pretty for Mike tomorrow" she teased, stretching the last words
The red head waves skipping to her house. Will speeds off. He was alone with his thoughts. Staring at the tree lined street ahead created an ambience that he enjoyed, he listened to the soft melody of the radio, a quiet hum escaped his lips.
He turned the corner admiring the blossoming flowers watching his house come into view.
Will took out his phone, the time read 5:43, He stepped out the car walking to the porch. He took out his keys, they jingle in his hands
Pushing the door open the Chestnut haired boy expected the ambience to be carried to an empty home but noticed the lights were on; his mother-Joyce- sat on the couch waiting for her son to arrive home.
"Will! You're home" sitting up delighted to see her son, she smiled.
"Mum! I thought you were at work?" the hazel eyed boy puzzled turning his head.
"I was. I just had an entire shift" she giggled embracing her son into her warmth.
"It was getting late, I was worried." Joyce dramatically throws her hands in the air.
"Oh! my melodramatic mother. You should've been an actor, you know?" Will said with the same amount of spice. They both giggled. Joyce plumped up her hair bombarding her son with questions about the day. The time travelling pass them until Joyce looked at the clock mounted on the wall. It read 6:57.
"Will, it's time to eat, go freshen up." Will sighed, trudging to the bathroom to wash his hands. He walked back to the kitchen and set the table. He took out three plates.
"Oh it's just the two of us" Joyce says not even looking up from the food. His brother Jonathan was always busy, Will wishes they could spend time together but since his career became more serious Jonathan would spend less time at home.
The chestnut-haired boy put one of the plates away. Sitting down as his mother does the same. The pair eat engaging in small talk, Will felt like a teenager again as his mother questioned him about boys and crushes
Joyce Byers always guessed her son was gay; she had a feeling but never directly confronted him and waited for when he felt comfortable. He told her on accident, but she supported him all the same.
"I mean I do like Mike Wheeler" Will grimaced, his mother squinted her eyes, remembering who he was.
"He's that actor, right? The one on your poster" She guessed correctly, Will's face flushed as he nodded, sheepishly grinning. The pair continued to eat
Will finished his plate, he helps his mother clean up, then making his way to his room.
He rushes to his bed pondering over the full day he had. The chestnut haired boy was exhausted. He flopped onto his bed remembering only one face that caused his lips to curl into a smile.
Will took out a book from under his bed with a cover that said 'Journal'. Because diaries are for kids Will snickered. He clicked his pen; staring to write:
Dear Myself,These past two days has been a roller coaster! I got to see Mike in the flesh; he is soo handsome. His pink lips, Raven hair and his ebony eyes were EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL, I didn't even know that was possible.
Will began jotting the events of the past two days. A wide smile appearing as he spared no details
He closed his journal setting it in its secure hiding spot. He walked back to the couch where he was met with his mother.
Placing a blanket over himself and his mom he glued himself to the TV until the clock read 11:45. His mother had long gone to bed. Yawning, he covered his mouth tiptoeing to his room
He rolled into bed staring at the pale ceiling contemplating the events that might unfold tomorrow. His head hit the pillow and he eventually drifted to sleep.
