~Who's Burning 😍~

Parth didn't know what happened one second he heard someone scream his name and the other second he felt someone clutching his body tightly. It took him some more seconds to realise that the person in question has to be none other than Meer as he fondly called her. Keeping aside her feelings for him and her clinginess, she was one of the truest friends a person can ever wish to have and that made respect more. Meera came out of the hug and gave a light peck on his cheeks and said "I missed you" to which Parth gave her one of his genuine smiles.

Nitee stood rooted at her place the moment she saw Meera hugging Parth. It tore her heart to see some other girl in his arms. Hot tears of pain and anger clouded her eyes witnessing the scene in front of her and her hold on the aarti plate tightened on their own accord not realising the hot wax falling in her palms. The peck was the last straw and she screamed in pain as the thaal fell on the ground due to her burnt hand and the dam of her pearls broke as she was no longer able to control her pain. Parth at once rushed to her seeing her burnt hand and immediately went to the kitchen to bring ice pack. He made her sit on the sofa and placed the ice pack on her palms making her hiss in pain. Lines of worry formed on his forehead as he couldn't bear to see his Nitee in pain which didn't go unnoticed by Arush and Meera. While one smiled at the revelation the other one fumed in jealousy at the affection between the duo. "Is it burning", Parth enquired, his whole concentration on her hand which had gone red by now. "Not more than my heart" she replied in a trance and Parth looked at her confusedly. The moment she realised what she said, she snatched the ice pack from his hands and ran to her room.

Later that day Parth tried talking to Nitee about her injury but she plainly ignored him making him confused at the same time angry at her behaviour. He had to prepare for the seminar tomorrow otherwise he would have definitely given her a piece of his mind. He then asked Murali, the servant of the house, to keep a tab on her injury and give him the updates. His team had gathered in his room to discuss the presentation they had to deliver the next day. It was past midnight and Nitee was going to kitchen to fill her jug of water when she saw that the lights of Parth's room were still on. All the negative thoughts started to bug her mind "What if he is with that girl?" "What are they doing together so late at night?"

The door of his room opened and her worst fears came true when she saw Meera coming out of his room but she heaved a sigh of relief when she saw the other three persons also exiting his room. The group saw her and inquired about her injury. She said them there was no pain but the redness prevailed. They all took her and Parths's leave. The moment they left, he tried talking to her but she scurried away like a cat.

The next 2 days passed in a jiffy as he started his day at 8 in the morning and reached late at night mostly after 12. Reaching his bedroom, he would just kick away his shoes and drop on his bed. The 3rd day was to be relatively less hectic as it was the day for Literature and he just needed to sit through those boring speeches and presentations. Literature never excited him especially Sanskrit, he always failed in the subject, but there was one major reason as to why he hated that subject. He broke out of his thoughts when the anchor made the announcement of the presentation of the national award winning research paper on Sanskrit The Mother Of All Languages' done by Miss Nitee Vashishth. He was pleasantly surprised to see her there. He had missed seeing her in those 2 days. She started her narration and then her eyes caught the most curious pair of eyes in the audience and she knew the owner of those hazels. He held her gaze until she completed and she broke their eye lock when the audience gave thunderous applause for her work.

It was break time when she was caught by Parth and his group who were all praises for her work, Nitee smiled and thanked them. But she was eagerly waiting to be complimented by that one person who was continuously staring her making her drink back to back glasses of water to calm down her nervousness. Sadly, that man never opened his mouth.

Arush - So, Niti can I expect you in the party tonight held to celebrate the success of the workshop?

Nitee was about to reply but Parth interrupted and answered on her behalf "No Arush, the party is for adults not kids. Moreover, Nitee's mother wouldn't allow her to stay outside home for so long especially at night"

Arush - I know it is an offence to ask a lady her age, but Niti you don't seem to be a kid. How old are you?

"21" Nitee replied proudly making Parth chuckle and Arush laugh a little.

Nitee - You can definitely find me in the party tonight.

Saying that she took their leave but not before giving Parth one of her challenging looks.

Parth (shaking his head) - Such a kid she is...😄

Night...

Party Dress Code - Black and White

The party was arranged in a posh hotel and was to start at sharp 8. Parth was confident that Nitee will not make it to the party. He dressed up in a black Armani tuxedo with perfectly gelled up hair. The girls were definitely going to die tonight.

Meera dressed herself in a sexy LBD which perfectly highlighted her curves and the clutch completed her look for the night.

Alex and Arush opted for casual black shirts paired up with denims and a white blazer on

while Sally went for a black gown with a thigh high slit.

Arush asked Parth whether they can escort Niti with them but he had shrugged him off saying that she won't come.

Nitee stood in her room confused as to what to wear. Her bed was piled with the clothes which mostly comprised of sarees and salwar kameez. Her wardrobe nothing really contained of outfits which she could wear in a party. Frankly, she had never been to one. And then after searching for half an hour she came across a stunning black saree with delicate silver border paired with an equally sexy blouse. She had purchased it some six months back but didn't get the perfect occasion to wear it. She took a deep breath, slipped into the saree and looked herself in the mirror to cover the uncovered portions of her body. Once she was satisfied, she sat in the car and drove off to the venue.

Here party was going in the full swing. Parth, Arush and Meera stood at the bar sipping their drinks while Alex and Sally were dancing cosily on the dance floor. Arush suddenly started to miss his wife and excused himself to call her. Meera and Parth were having some casual chit chat when the spotlight fell on the figure at the entrance making all the heads turn in the direction.

Nitee suddenly became conscious due to the unwanted attention. She could hear gasps from the ladies whereas she saw a dreamy look pasted on the faces of the men attending the party. She maintained her composure and walked gracefully while giving her sizzling smile to the known faces at the same time giving casual nods to the acquaintances.

Nitee was shocked would be an understatement. He was mesmerized seeing her in a saree that too in his favourite colour as she was looking stunningly beautiful. To be frank, he had seriously not expected her to attend the party but as such she always surprises him with her acts. Today, was no exception as well. His legs automatically walked towards the entrance to escort her. On the way, he could hear the murmurings of the ladies as to how Nitee won to grab the attention of their men and smirked at them. On the other hand, he saw some men staring at her lustfully while some genuinely appreciated her beauty while others cursed their hard luck as they were already accompanied with their dates. He felt like punching them all. Nobody eyes what belongs to Parth Singh Rawat and Nitee was his to love, his to hate, his to cherish...all his.

She saw him taking steps towards her and the feminine Goddess inside her danced victoriously as she saw him leaving his conversation with Meera halfway and making a move towards her. She could clearly see Meera fuming at his actions. Chuckling inwardly, she gazed down and smiled to herself. She saw a pair of shoes approaching her and extending his hand towards her. Her heart started to beat wildly at the thought of them holding their hands together in public. She raised her head up and her face grew paler almost immediately as she realised that the person standing to receive her was Arush and not Parth.
