Horme
Pandora walks over to Jemma, Sarah and David as she sees them leaving.
"Hey, where's everybody going?" asks a concerned Pandora.
"Everybody's staying here, we're heading out though." answers Sarah.
"Why? The party's not lame is it?"
"The party's awesome, good job. We've just got something else to do to make the night even better." explains David.
"Like what?" wonders Pandora.
"You remember that thing that got me to come to this party and invite all my friends? Jemma's gonna help us with that."
"Totally, aren't you Jemma?" Sarah says with a smile.
A drunk but happy Jemma answers, "Yeah!"
Pandora grabs Jemma by the hand "I think Jemma's had enough fun for the night."
"I thought you said that you let people get away with things. I thought you were cool." a disappointed David says.
A tipsy Jemma tries to defend Pandora "Oh she is. She's very cool."
"I am, but she's pretty much the only friend I've made at school."
"I'm the only one? Aww, that's so sad." Jemma says with a slur.
"Plus, Jemma's kind of my co-host for tonight. How would it look if my co-host left the party early with someone else?" insists Pandora. "Let me put her in a cab, and you can pick anyone else at the party."
After a moment, Sarah responds "Fine."
Pandora leads Jemma away from David and Sarah. Not long after outside the club, Pandora and Jemma are sitting together.
"I meant what I said you know." says a surly Jemma.
"What's that?" Pandora asks as she looks at her friend.
"About you being cool. You're really... really cool."
"Thanks."
"So much cooler than... other people."
"Other people?" asks Pandora before noticing that Jemma is playing with her bracelet. "Oh, must have been a pretty important person."
"Yeah, but they left."
"Left? Where'd they go?"
"Away... I really needed tonight."
"Certainly seems like it."
Jemma lowers her head as she speaks "I mean, look at me. I was being all uptight and stuff, then you called me on it and look at me now. I never do stuff like this. I feel great."
"Maybe you'll feel differently in the morning."
"But my point is you did this to me. You made me better."
"I don't know how much I had to do with it."
"What?" wonders a still tipsy Jemma.
"Nothing."
A cab pulls up and Pandora stands up, holding out her hand to her friend "Come on, let's get you home so you can sleep it off."
Pandora helps Jemma to the cab.

Pandora and her parents walk in their house together.
"So, did you have fun tonight?"
Pandora looks at her mother sarcastically "Yeah, I think it was a success."
"Really?"
Again Pandora's sarcasm is obvious as she speaks "Except for the major blunder of opening The Box, people had a good time."
Jove smiles at her daughter, "That's good, I'm glad you're making friends."
"Are you sure that they aren't going to be rioting tomorrow?"
"We were able to shut down most of the fights which broke out. That will keep things from progressing too far. That should be enough to keep the effects to a minimum until tomorrow. It'll be fine. As we said, it's most likely that the spirits which escaped are more mischievous than anything else." reassures Uni.
"Given the way the night went however, I think we have an idea of which spirit Jemma is infected with." says Jove.
"There are kinds of spirits?"
"Yes, and to me it looks like Jemma has been infected with the spirit of Horme."
"What?"
"I was thinking the same thing."
"What's a... horme?"
"It's known as the spirit of impulse and beginnings, definitely of the mischievous variety. There's a reason why we spent so much of our night breaking arguments up." explains Uni.
"Jemma will probably start doing and saying things that she normally wouldn't." says Jove.
"And the more she's around other people, the more she'll bring it out in them. You'll probably have quite a few no shows at school tomorrow." continues her mother.
"The spirit's power can be problematic if it reaches enough people and if it stays with them over a long enough time line it can be dangerous, but the greatest danger she poses is to herself."
"Right, no pressure then." jokes Pandora.
"You can do it sweetie." Uni tries to reassure her daughter.
"And we'll be here to help you with anything you need."
"Absolutely, but you did all you can today. Getting Jemma to go home was probably a good call."
"That wasn't exactly the plan, but... there were other reasons that I... never mind."
"The best thing you can do right now is go to bed and keep an eye on her tomorrow."
"You're sure? There's nothing else we can do?"
"Trust us honey."
"Okay Mom."
Pandora walks up the stairs to her room.

The next morning, Jemma is at home sleeping off the night before. All the electronics in her room are either off or in sleep mode as she sleeps. She exhales in her sleep and a wave of magical energy escapes, going straight up to the ceiling and hits the lights above her. They immediately turn on. Jemma, still asleep, squeezes her eyes shut tighter and turns her head away and rolling over to stay asleep.
Not long after, another wave of magical energy escapes with her breath and the wave hits her bedside table which has her phone and a lamp. The phone starts ringing and the alarm goes off at the same time and the lamp turns on as well. This wakes her up as her bedside table's drawer also opens because of the wave. Jemma sits up suddenly at the noise.
"What the hell?"
She looks around before fumbling with the phone to turn the alarm off. She answers the phone but no one is on the other end so she hangs up. Jemma turns off the light on her bedside table. After taking another look around in confusion, she decides to start the day.
Not long after, Jemma comes down for breakfast with her family. Her father and mother are sitting at the table, they look about as traditional as parents can be in today's age. Her mother Shannon was setting out breakfast for her father Troy and her as he reads the news on an iPad at the table. They notice their daughter's change in style. Jemma's dressed much less conservatively than previously, applying more make up and shows more skin.
"Hello... honey?" asks a confused Shannon.
Jemma looks at her mother.
"Hmm?"
"Is that... do you think that's appropriate?"
"What?"
"Your outfit."
Jemma looks herself over.
"I wouldn't have put it on if I didn't."
Troy looks at her daughter.
"You're sure you want to go with that?"
"Yes, why?"
"It's just... not your usual choice."
"Is it a problem?" as Jemma speaks, the magical waves come off her and hit her mother.
"No, not necessarily. I just... honey, we want you to be who you are, but..." tries her mother before being interrupted by a strange feeling.
"This just doesn't seem like who you are. We're a little confused." her father finishes the thought.
"I wanted a change. Am I not allowed to change?" again Jemma's words are followed by a wave of magic coming off her and hitting her father. Jemma notices but her parents don't.
After a few moments where he feels uncertain, her father speaks up, "Of course you are sweetie."
Jemma smiles, "Good."
"In fact, if that's what you want..." says Troy as he pulls out his wallet and starts pulling out a credit card, "If that's the way you want to dress, here."
He hands over his credit card to Jemma. She seems somewhat unsure as she takes it from him.
"Really? What is this? Some kind of test?"
"Why would it be a test?" asks her father.
"You guys never want me to use your credit cards. I've asked but you always tell me that I have to ask for what I want and you'll buy it if I need it."
"Well now we're not. Enjoy!"
"Your father's right, have fun."
Jemma looks at each of her parents before looking at the credit card with a smile.
"You can use it tonight. Your mother and I are going out."
Shannon looks at her husband, surprised, "We are?"
"Yes."
"Since when?" asks Jemma's mother, happy with the sudden change.
"Since now." he declares "And we are probably going away for the weekend too. You're old enough to fend for yourself."
"I've been saying that for years."
"And now we're listening."
Jemma looks down at the credit card in her hand and smiles.
