Us Versus Them
Pandora enters Hermes' classroom as quickly as she can, clearly angry. Hermes on the other hand is sitting at his desk with a satisfied look on his face despite how his student and apparent rival is feeling. The young student with a destiny is put off by his nonchalant attitude towards her presence.
"Ms Jupiter... how are you?" asks Hermes with a clearly jovial tone.
Pandora is quick to react, "What did you do with it?"
"Do with what? You're going to have to be a little more specific." jokes Hermes.
"You know what. You took it and you're going to give it back... NOW!" insists Pandora angrily.
"Did you lose something? That's very careless of you. You're going to have to be a lot more careful if you're going to be protecting The Box going forward." Hermes again says with a joking tone.
"Well maybe if you gave me back The Box, I'd learn that lesson." suggests Pandora, beginning to get frustrated.
"You misplaced The Box? Do you realize how dangerous that is?" Hermes fires back, obviously enjoying himself.
"I didn't misplace it, it was stolen, and you're the one who stole it." accuses Pandora.
"You really are very new at this, aren't you? I wouldn't even be able to steal it even if I wanted to. If I could've just taken it, I would have. It'd save me a lot of time and energy of tricking you into doing it for me. Why do you think I got you to give it to me in the first place? The Box has certain... safe guards, in place. It protects itself against people with my... disposition, from getting their hands on it. I can only get it if someone hands it over." explains Hermes.
"So you got someone to take it for you. One of your lackeys." insists Pandora.
"What makes you think that I have lackeys?" asks Hermes almost rhetorically.
"Evil villains always have lackeys. You wouldn't be much of one if you didn't." Pandora accuses.
"It's adorable how simplistic your idea of right and wrong is. That you somehow think that I'm an evil villain who's looking to destroy the world. I'd never be so idiotic as to think in terms of good and evil... or right and wrong." Hermes says with a happy tone, "You really need to update your concepts if you're going to tangle with people like me."
"None of what you just said makes me think you didn't take The Box or have someone do it for you.." Pandora continues to insist.
"I told you before, I've got what I wanted from The Box when you handed it to me. I don't need it anymore. You're barking up the wrong tree." suggests Hermes.
"Then what would be the right tree?" asks Pandora, desperate for some kind of lead.
"I'm not the only one with an interest in that thing. Pretty much anyone who comes into contact with it feels a need to possess it. Maybe you want to start there?" declare Hermes.
"But the only people who..." trails off Pandora as a realization comes over her.
Hermes' smile gets wider as the look on Pandora's face gives him so much joy, "I'm so glad that you're actually thinking. It's so much easier than just randomly accusing people, isn't it?"
Pandora frowns at her adversary only to very quickly turn and rush out of the room.

Jemma is sitting in the lunch room, enjoying her lunch with the rest of her classmates. The lunch room is quite full but they are very much cordoned off. Each section of the lunch room has been painted a specific color and the students which are in the sections are wearing similar versions of the colors. Many of the students are looking very suspiciously at those who are not in their group or wearing their colors. There's only one section of the place which is the original color of the school, and Jemma is sitting in that one.
Pandora enters the cafeteria, immediately looking around for her newest friend and potential girlfriend. Eventually, she sees Jemma and makes a b-line for her.
"Please tell me you didn't take it." asks Pandora with a mixture of anger and sadness.
"Hey... what's going on?" wonders Jemma, trying to figure out the question as she looks up from her seat.
"I just... tell me you didn't take it." an emotional Pandora wants to know.
"Take what?" asks Jemma.
"You were asking questions about it, really interested. Please tell me you didn't go into my locker and take it." the uncertainty of how she feels right now clear in Pandora's voice.
"Are you talking about The Box?" Jemma asks, the tone of her voice becoming somewhat knowing, "Yeah, I wanted to take a look at it, so I grabbed it."
"Why would you do that? You know what it means to me." declares Pandora.
"I didn't think it would be that big of a deal. I mean, it's just a box. I know it's a family heirloom and all but I figured you wouldn't miss it if I gave it a once over." insists Jemma, not really seeing the big deal of the situation.
There's a bit of a silence from Pandora as several of the people in the cafeteria eye the two of them suspiciously before Pandora speaks, "Please tell me you didn't open it."
Jemma gives Pandora a weird look, "Not yet. I'm still trying to figure out what makes it glow like that."
"Don't. Please don't open it." Pandora begs, "Can you just... give it back to me?"
"Why? What's so important about it?" Jemma wonders out loud.
"Nothing, it's just... I... my family is really protective of it and they'd freak out if they found out someone took it. I'd... I'd really like it back if you don't mind." Pandora attempts to act calmly, although she doesn't do a very good job of it.
Jemma watches Pandora with a clearly suspicious look on her face.
"Please?" asks Pandora with a lot more desperation.
"What is it about this box thing? It can't just be that it's a family heirloom. You wouldn't care this much if that's all it was." insists Jemma.
"You're right... it's not just a family heirloom. There's a reason I'm protective of it, but... I'm not really allowed to say what it is." Pandora tries to explain as much as she can.
"Well that's pretty convenient. Kinda trying to get yourself off the hook eh?"
"What are you talking about?" responds Pandora.
"You're trying to have it both ways. Saying you'd like to tell me but your parents won't let you. So you get to act like you care but also get to keep your secrets." elaborates Jemma.
"Where is this coming from?" wonders Pandora, getting confused.
"I'm just kinda realizing that you know a lot more than you're saying. That you know why I got all weird and did all those things a few weeks back, but won't tell me." suggests Jemma.
Pandora looks around, aware of where they are and the people in the cafeteria, "Where is this coming from?"
This makes Jemma look somewhat vindicated, "Interesting that you didn't even bother to deny it. You know, don't you?"
There's a long silence from Pandora, clearly not sure how to respond. Jemma eventually turns back to her lunch, all but ignoring the one she's been speaking to.
"I'll tell you what, when you're ready to tell me what happened, I'm happy to give you back the family heirloom. Until then? I'm not sure we have much to talk about." Jemma says, clearly upset by the conversation.
"But... it's mine... and I need you to give it back." Pandora says, not sure how else to get what she wants.
This makes Jemma turn back to Pandora, if only briefly, "You know, I may not understand why it all happened to me, but if there's one thing that doing things I normally wouldn't taught me? It's that if you want something... you have to be willing to go after it."
She returns her focus to her lunch, "So this is me... going after it."
Pandora doesn't really have any kind of response to Jemma's words. After a few attempts at speaking up for herself and failing, walks away, heading out the way she came in. Jemma looks to Pandora as she's leaving, watching her go just as she does.

Jemma walks into Hermes' empty classroom, the teacher at his desk going through papers.
"You were right." Jemma declares, making Hermes look up from where he's sitting, "Taking that box thing did get her attention. Although, I'm still not exactly sure why she's so hung up on it. And why is this box so important?"
"I told you, if you want to get to know Dora, you're going to have to get her attention. Did you get it?" asks Hermes somewhat playfully.
"Yes... but you're avoiding my question. What's so important about it? She made it seem like it was a big problem she didn't have it. Like something bad was going to happen if she didn't get it back." suggests Jemma, clearly concerned.
Finally Hermes fully turns to Jemma, "Don't worry, if that's true we'll give it back before anything serious really happens. Right now we're just looking to learn. Whatever happened to you is somehow connected to this box. If we're going to find out how, we need to understand what effect it had on you and why. Do you want to figure it out?"
"I do, I... I don't understand what happened. It was so insane. Why did I do what I did? What made me do it? Was it all my idea or someone else's? Or something else? I just... I don't get it." declares Jemma.
"We'll figure it out together, I promise. Unless Pandora was willing to help us out?" asks Hermes rhetorically in his case though not for Jemma.
That makes Jemma frown, noticeably hurt by the idea, "She wouldn't tell me anything. I thought we had connected. It felt like we did after everything we went through. But... now I'm not so sure."
"I'm sure once we understand what happened, she'll open up to you." Hermes suggests.
"I hope so. I... I really like her." Jemma confesses, revealing a little vulnerability.
"And I'm sure she likes you too. She's probably just afraid that you won't understand whatever it is that's going on with her. But if you figure it out? There would be no reason to keep you apart." the shape shifter calling himself Hermes says, trying to sound sympathetic to how Jemma feels.
The reassurance of it makes Jemma smile at him.

The bell rings for the end of class. Sarah is sitting in her seat while her other classmates gather up their things, she just sits there. She balls her hand up into a fist and there's a bit of a red glow from her hand. When she opens it, the weird red energy bubble ripples out, hitting several of her classmates. They stop for a moment, their eyes glowing red ever so slightly but quickly shake it off.
They keep going to leave class but one of them has a red electrical static shock leave their foot and hit the floor. All of the sudden, he trips slightly and falls accidentally into another classmate who falls forward into another, making them stumble.
They turn to the others, "Hey man, what's your damage?"
"I tripped." the first one insists.
"Sure you did." the second one says as she pushes them in response.
"Hey..." the pushed one pushes back, causing them to fall into another fellow student.
Things start to get worse from there, each one pushing back and forcing the teacher to step in as quickly as they can.
Sarah meanwhile, simply sits there with a smile on her face watching the chaos in front of her, a red glow in her eyes.
