Alliances Forged
Pandora is sitting in class, trying to act like she's listening to the teacher. The longer the class goes on, the harder it is for her to do. Jemma and Sarah are sitting a few rows back but they can't help but notice the way Pandora is acting. Increasingly, she's visibly uncomfortable at the way the teacher keeps going on. Sarah pulls out her phone and sends a text. Jemma pulls out her own.
'Are you seeing this?'
Jemma responds.
'Yup'
Sarah watches Pandora for a moment before texting back.
'What do you think is going on?'
Jemma looks over at Sarah who is looking back. She texts.
'No idea'
Pandora slams her fists down on her desk, "Okay, that's it!" the young woman with a destiny gets up from her desk, "I'm not listening to any more of this."
Sarah and Jemma look at each other with concern.
"Ms. Jupiter, something you want to share with the class?" the teacher asks with disdain for the interruption.
"Yes actually..." a clearly angry Pandora says, "Why the hell are we listening to you?"
"I'm sorry?" wonders the teacher, somewhat surprised.
"I mean... everything you're teaching us can be found on the internet. You're basically a machine spewing out facts on the internet." Pandora turns to her classmates, her eyes glow with a dark black as she does, "I mean, really, why are any of us listening to them? They're just holding up a system meant to keep us down. To make us conform and not question them."
The other students, with the exception of Sarah and Jemma, all begin to glow black for a second. It makes them start to whisper or openly talk about Pandora's words. Again Sarah and Jemma look at each other.
"Ms Jupiter, I always encourage discussion in my class. You know that. But this is getting out of hand. Now..." the teacher attempts to regain control of their class.
Pandora's eyes glow black again, "Come on. You're really going to try and shut me up? Not gonna happen." again Pandora looks to her classmates, "I say, let's not listen to this talking machine of the system. I say screw the system. Who's with me?"
Her fellow classmates are encouraging but lack luster in their response. She makes her way to the front of the class, annoying the teacher.
"Ms Jupiter!" the teacher tries.
"I said WHO'S WITH ME?"
This time the students cheer.
"Let's go!" orders Pandora as she motions for the door.
Except for Jemma and Sarah, the rest of the class gets up and excitedly follows Pandora out the door.
"Did that really happen?" the teacher asks as he looks at both Sarah and Jemma.

"Something's wrong with Pandora." a concerned Jemma says as she enters Hermes' classroom.
"Excuse me?" Hermes asked with a somewhat amused concern.
"She's... different. I think something's happened to her." Jemma suggests.
"And?" responds Hermes.
"And we have to do something about it." says Jemma.
"We ARE doing something about it. This is all part of the plan." Hermes says.
"It is?" questions Jemma, "How?"
There's a bit of a smile on Hermes as he speaks, "I told you, she has to learn there are consequences to her actions."
Jemma watches Hermes for a second, "This is one of the consequences?"
Hermes smiles at Jemma, "I knew you were smart." he says somewhat half-jokingly, "If you interfere with what's happening, you'll give her an out. She won't learn the lesson she has to learn."
"You want me to stay out of it? But..." Jemma tries before being interrupted.
"Do you want this to keep happening to people or not?" Hermes says with a more serious tone.
It makes Jemma watch him for a few moments, "No..."
"Then you need to let things play out." insists Hermes, "Are we on the same page?"
Again it takes Jemma a while to answer, "Yes."
"Good, then I'll see you in my class later." says Hermes.
A long silence follows as Jemma and Hermes look at each other. Eventually, Jemma relents and leaves the class. Hermes can't help but smile.

"What is going on with you Dora?" a concerned yet angry Jove asks his daughter.
Pandora scoffs at her father from her somewhat defiant yet relaxed sitting position across from him in his office, "What?"
"You lead a class revolt?" questions Jove.
"And?" a cynical sounding question in response by Pandora.
"Has a new spirit emerged? Is this part of getting in with them?" inquires Jove.
That makes Pandora frown, "Why does that have to be the reason?"
"I'm sorry?" Jove wonders, his confusion not lessening.
"Why does it have to be a possession thing? Can't I just be fed up?" questions Pandora, "Why does everything have to come back to the fact that I opened The Box? Why is everything my fault?"
Jove watches his daughter for a few long moments, "You know why Dora. We've talked about this. I thought you'd come to terms with it."
"Well... I haven't. I'm tired of living this way. I can't live with the guilt that everything wrong that happens in this school is my fault. So I'm going to fix that." Pandora declares before reaching into her bag and pulling out The Box and slamming it down on Jove's desk, "I'm going to fix this school so that no one ever manifests ever again."
Jove tries to interject as Pandora gets up from her seat and starts leaving, "That's not how it... Dora, stop."
That makes Pandora stop and turn to her father, though not move from halfway out the door.
Jove picks up The Box and holds it out as if to hand it back to her, "You forgot this."
Pandora looks at The Box in her father's hand, "I didn't forget. That thing has made my whole life a living hell since you and Mom forced it on me. It's torn this school apart. If I'm going to fix it, I can't use that to do it."
Pandora leaves Jove alone in his office. After a few moments, The Box begins to glow a black light. Jove immediately puts it down on his desk and looks at it intently.
"It can't be."

"I think something's wrong with Pandora." declares Jemma as she enters the club's classroom.
Sarah, Kat and Ian all look at Jemma as she enters, confused by her outburst.
"Of course there is." Sarah pushes back.
"Yeah, isn't that why you set this whole club up in the first place?" Ian asks with a bit of a joking tone.
"You said we had to protect ourselves from her." says Kat.
"I know, but this is different. You saw what happened in class, didn't you Sarah?" Jemma inquires.
Sarah looks at her strangely, "I have eyes."
"And you didn't think that was weird." Jemma fires back.
"Everything about this is weird Jemma. A box full of spirits? People manifesting abilities? Magic? It's all weird." points out Sarah.
"But this is... weirder than normal. And yes I know how weird that sounds."
Ian scoffs at Jemma's statement, "Well I say good riddance."
That makes Jemma turn to him, "What?"
"It's like you said, she did this to us. If this is something happening to her, maybe she deserves it." suggests Ian rather coldly.
"What are you..." begins Jemma before being cut off.
"Ian's right. She deserves whatever she gets." agrees Kat.
"Guys..."
"After what she did? I kinda agree." says Sarah.
"We can't just..." Jemma tries.
"This is your plan. If she's turning her problems against herself? It's probably the best way to stop the next of us from ending up hurting people." Ian suggests.
"I started this group to protect people, not shield people from getting hurt. If Pandora's getting hurt? She's someone we need to protect." declares Jemma.
The rest of her group members are unconvinced by Jemma's attempt to rally them. It makes Jemma turn and leave.

Jove walks into the hospital room, his wife lying motionless in her bed. He makes his way to her side and sits down in the chair he found his daughter passed out in not long ago. The husband and father takes his wife's hand firmly.
"It's happening my love. The thing we were trying to prevent. The thing we hoped our daughter would never have to face."
A short silence follows, the beeping of the heart rate monitor the only thing to fill it before he continues.
"I wish you were here with me now. I wish you could help guide her through it. Maybe if you were, she wouldn't be in this position now. You would've seen it coming. You were always better at that then I was. I just hope that I can keep her from self-destructing. You'd never forgive me if I didn't."
He stands up from the chair, leans over her and kisses her on the forehead.
"I love you."

Amber is sitting in the lunchroom, making slow work of her lunch. She's currently alone as her other teammates haven't joined her yet. All of the sudden, Pandora sits down next to her. It makes Amber look at her strangely.
"Can I help you?" asked a somewhat confused Amber.
Pandora smiles at her, "More like, I can help you."
"And why would you want to do that? You were on the cheerleading team." Amber responds.
"Only for like a minute, honestly,I'm kinda over it all." insists Pandora before adding, "Besides, aren't you tired of the competition? The cheerleaders hate the spirit squad, the football players hate the lacrosse team. Isn't it all kinda pointless?"
Amber hesitantly responds, "I guess."
"Problem is, the system keeps pushing us to fight each other. It keeps forcing us to battle it out and see who comes out on top. It's kinda disturbing when you really think about it." suggests Pandora, "Don't you wish there was something better? Something that works to give us hope?"
"What are you talking about?" questions Amber.
"I'm into a new thing now."
"What's that?" the spirit squad leader can't help but ask.
Pandora puts a golden apple down on the table in front of Amber.
