INT. SEOUL NATIONAL HOSPITAL, EMERGENCY WARD- NIGHT

Y/N: Who are you?

Lee Know feels like someone punched him in the guts.

LEE KNOW: Huh?

Jae On and I.N are too stunned to react. Y/n struggles to understand everyone's reaction.

Y/N: Do I know you?

JAE ON: No. ( he points to I.N ), I'd like to borrow I.N for a second.

Y/N: Um...yeah.

Jae On takes I.N to the side.

JAE ON: What exactly happened?

I.N: She started panicking when she saw me injured and had an asthma attack. She was fine until now.

JAE ON: Did she hit her head?

I.N: No.

JAE ON: Then there is only one reason.

JAE ON: Shock. It's gotten too much for her.

I.N: She was worried about the stabbing before this.

JAE ON: Let's do one thing. Don't let her remember us.

I.N: Are you sure?

JAE ON: Her memory is very fragile; we need her help to catch the culprits. Remembering us might bring back all the stress, she might end up losing her memory permanently. We need to keep her safe and calm. That's the only thing we can do.

I.N nods his head. They walk to Y/n and Lee Know, who's slumped on a small chair beside her bed.

JAE ON: We'll get going.

Lee Know looks at Jae On shocked. Jae On pulls him to his feet.

LEE KNOW: Hyung-

JAE ON: Goodbye.

He drags Lee Know out.

Y/N: Who are they?

I.N: New friends. Let's go.

Y/n decides to let it go for now.

CUT TO:

INT. LEE FAMILY HOME- NIGHT

Lee Know follows Jae On into the house with a big frown on his face. Nabi, sitting on the couch, takes a glance at them and gets back to her papers.

NABI: Hey guys-

Lee Know bows and walks right past Nabi, numb of all emotions. Nabi looks at Jae On for an answer.

NABI: What's up with him?

JAE ON: Don't even ask.

He plops down on the couch beside her.

NABI: Did something go wrong?

JAE ON: Y/n does not remember who he is.

NABI: What! How?

JAE ON: Shock, I assume.

NABI: Aigoo. It hasn't even been a week since he started liking her.

JAE ON: You sensed it too?

NABI: Obviously. Is there anyone else he talks about?

Jae On nods his head. Lee Know storms back into the room.

LEE KNOW: Do you have the number for that restaurant I like?

JAE ON: The 3rd drawer in the study.

LEE KNOW: Thanks.

He walks away.

NABI: Not that restaurant. He's just going to over-stuff himself.

JAE ON: Let him, I'm hungry too.

CUT TO:

INT. Y/N'S ROOM- NIGHT

Y/n is comfortably stretched on her bed as I.N rubs his eyes sitting on the edge of it.

I.N: Bye. I'm sleepy.

He stands to leave. Y/n sets her hand on his arm.

Y/N: Ya. Is something wrong?

I.N: Why?

Y/N: I don't know-

She stops, raising her eyebrows at him. I.N tries to give a bright smile.

Y/N: What're you hiding?

I.N: Nothing...why would I be hiding anything?

Y/N: Just say it.

I.N arranges his face into an empty expression, almost scaring Y/n. He leans in close to her face and flicks her head. Y/n flicks his head back.

Y/N: IT REALLY HURTS!

I.N: YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE LOST THAT BET THEN!

She glares at him.

I.N: Bye.

Y/N: YAA!

I.N: WHAT?!

Y/N: You know you can tell me anything, right? Even if you don't, I'll find out what it is.

I.N: Yes. Yes.

Y/N: Bye, even I'm sleepy.

She lies down as I.N walks out her room. He closes the door behind him and let's his poker face drop.

I.N (WHISPERS): Was that a threat? Aishh...

He rubs the back of his head furiously.

CUT TO:

INT. LEE FAMILY HOME – AFTERNOON

Nabi and Jae On stand, their arms crossed, watching Lee Know. He's seated on the couch, binge watching the millionth show on his laptop, wrapped in a blanket. It does not look like he's had any sleep.

NABI: The next phase.

JAE ON: I didn't expect it to get so bad in a day.

IMO: Look who's here!

Nabi and Jae On's heads turn to see Imo excitedly walking in.

IMO: It's so great to see you Jae On.

JAE ON: Imo!

Imo flinches seeing Lee Know.

IMO: Who's that!

JAE ON: Lee Know.

IMO: What!

She walks to Lee Know.

IMO: What's wrong with you?

Lee Know bows while still being seated and wrapped in blankets.

LEE KNOW: Hello, Imo.

IMO: Aigoo. He's depressed again. What happened? Did you fight with your girlfriend?

Lee Know starts tearing up.

JAE ON: Shh. Imo, don't bring her up.

IMO: I'm right aren't I? Did she dump him?

JAE ON: No.

IMO: Aish...everybody fights.

LEE KNOW: We would've if she remembered me.

IMO: Huh?

JAE ON: Anyways! Imo, have you had lunch yet?

IMO: No. I was planning on dining with you guys.

JAE ON: Let's go out! Lee Know could use some fresh air.

IMO: Great.

CUT TO:

INT. RESTAURANT- AFTERNOON

Imo, Jae On and Nabi sit at a big table. Lee Know, looking numb, plops down next to his brother.

IMO: Let's see. We should get the best dish on the menu.

A waitress walks to their table.

?: What would you like to have?

Lee Know's heart drops to his guts.

IMO: We'd like the- Omo!

Y/n is confused with her sudden reaction.

Y/N: Is there something on my face?

IMO: No. No.

Y/n bows and leaves after taking their order. Jae On rubs his forehead and looks away in despair. Lee Know forces himself not to look at Y/n as she walks to the counter.

IMO: Ya. She's really mad. What did you do? I like her.

LEE KNOW: I'm leaving.

He stands up.

JAE ON: Lee Know.

LEE KNOW: I'm sorry.

NABI: We're having steak.

Lee Know sits back down.

Exactly how long it takes to cook four steaks later:

Y/n walks back to the table with the dishes, she serves them and turns to Lee Know.

Y/N: Excuse me.

Lee Know looks at her with hopeful eyes.

LEE KNOW: Yes!

Y/N: Um...those girls.

He looks at the waitresses at the counter.

Y/N: Don't look!

Lee Know looks back at her.

Y/N: They're interested in you and all. So, if you could say yes or no, it would help me a lot.

Imo's fork drops. Lee Know starts laughing at his situation.

Y/N: Uh...

LEE KNOW: I'm not interested.

Y/N: Great.

She bows and walks away.

IMO: She's really, really mad.

Lee Know rubs his heart, as Jae On pats his shoulder. I.N enters the restaurant, the first thing he sees is Lee Know and Jae On and almost loses balance.

Y/N: I.N!

I.N: Oh.. Oh...Hi.

Y/N: Right on time. My shifts over.

I.N: Great.

CUT TO:

EXT. STREET- AFTERNOON

Y/n and I.N walk through the busy crowd on the street of Seoul.

Y/N: Ya. Do you remember those guys from the hospital, your new friends? I met them at the restaurant again.

I.N: Oh.

Y/N: For some reason my head aches every time I see them.

I.N: Don't think about them.

He stops Y/n and holds her shoulders.

I.N: Forget about them.

Y/N: Why?

I.N: Just do it.

Y/N: I literally thought of them just now. I can't control it. I think I've met them before too-

I.N: No! Let's go somewhere for now. Pre birthday celebration. Get your mind off things.

He drags Y/n away.

CUT TO:

INT. SECRET PLACE- NIGHT

Red bangs his desk.

RED: What!

OMMA: She does not remember them.

RED: Was it an overdose?

OMMA: Her body's trying to reject it.

RED: She needs to be there at the event.

OMMA: I think I can do something.

RED: Whatever works. Quick. She needs to be ready.

Omma nods and walks out.

CUT TO:

EXT. BUS STOP- EVENING

Y/n scrolls through her phone sitting on the bench next to I.N.

Y/N: Who's Lee Know?

I.N feels his anxiety rise.

I.N: Who?

Y/N: His number is saved in my phone.

I.N: Nobody. Maybe spam. Whose name is Lee Know?

Y/N: I'll just call the number.

I.N: NO!-

It's too late.

CUT TO:

INT. LEE FAMILY HOME- STUDY

Lee Know is back to lying on the couch. Jae On drinks his honey tea while trying to ignore Lee Know. He flinches hearing an unexpectedly loud ringtone from his brother's phone. Lee Know jolts up reading the caller Id.

LEE KNOW: Hello! Y/n!

Y/N: You know my name? Who are you?

Lee Know lies back down.

LEE KNOW: I'm an insurance agent.

Y/N: I see. Thank you.

She disconnects the call. Lee Know throws his phone aside and grabs the pillow from under his head. He presses it against his face and screams into it. Jae On stands having had enough.

JAE ON: Let's go!

LEE KNOW: To eat! Sure.

JAE ON: No! To your favorite place. I can't see you mope around anymore.

LEE KNOW: I don't want to.

JAE ON: I don't care.

He pulls him up and drags him away.

CUT TO:

EXT. AMUSEMENT PARK- NIGHT

I.N buys the tickets to the drop tower ride as Y/n looks in excitedly.

I.N: Let's go.

Y/N: Whoo!!

They both walk to the ride, a few meters behind Jae On drags Lee Know to the amusement park entrance.

JAE ON: YOU'RE THE ONLY PERSON WHO NEEDS TO BE DRAGGED HERE!

LEE KNOW: LET ME GO THEN!

JAE ON: No!

He locks his elbow around Lee Know's arm to make sure he does not run away and buys the tickets. Lee Know's gaze falls on Y/n making him lose balance.

JAE ON: What?

LEE KNOW: She's here! Why!

Jae On looks around.

JAE ON: No, she's not.

He pulls Lee Know into the amusement park.

CUT TO:

ROLLER COASTER RIDE:

Jae On and Lee Know get on the ride. Lee Know is fine even after it begins, Jae On screams his guts out. Lee Know notices Y/n and I.N seated at the front of the row and starts screaming, Jae On thinks his plan is working.

CUT TO:

GIFT STORE:

Jae On tries on a head band. He looks in the mirror and laughs at how silly he looks. He tries putting one on Lee Know, but Lee Know pushes him aside, refusing to wear the bands. Lee Know turns away from his brother and sees Y/n and I.N trying on funny goggles and having the time of their lives. He turns back, grabs a handful of headbands and puts it on his head, Jae On bursts into laughter.

CUT TO:

FOOD TRUCK:

Jae On moves ahead in the line, he starts ordering as Lee Know looks down at his feet not feeling even a bit better.

JAE ON: Hey, you got some change?

Lee Know nods and takes out his wallet. He struggles getting some cash out and when he does a few coins drop out.

LEE KNOW: Here, hyung.

JAE ON: Thanks.

Jae On takes the notes as Lee Know bends down to pick up the coins. Another hand reaches for it and picks it up before he can.

Y/N: Here.

LEE KNOW: Thanks-

He was thankful up until the moment he saw her. Y/n hands him the coins.

LEE KNOW: Seriously?

Y/N: Why is my head-... Oh! It's you.

LEE KNOW: Yeah...

Jae On turns around.

JAE ON: Let's go- woah.

Y/N: What a coincidence? I.N is here too.

JAE ON: I see.

I.N. is standing afar talking on the phone. He almost faints seeing Lee Know and Jae On talking with Y/n.

I.N: Is this some Kdrama or something?

He puts his phone down and runs to them.

I.N: Y/n!

Y/N: Hey, your friends are here.

I.N bows to Lee Know and Jae On.

I.N: Ah. Hi.

Y/n turns around and leans closer to I.N.

Y/N: I think my head's going to explode. I'll be near that bench. (She points behind him)

I.N: Yeah. Go.

Y/n bows to Lee Know and Jae On and walks away rubbing her head.

I.N: What're you guys doing here?!

JAE ON: This dummy needed to get some fresh air. How are you managing?

I.N: Ah, um. Well, I guess.

JAE ON: Good.

I.N: Why is he so sad?

He points at Lee Know who looks like he's given up on life.

JAE ON: He's depressed because she's forgotten everything.

I.N: Ahh...I need to go, we'll talk later.

JAE ON: Yeah.

They bow and I.N runs to Y/n.

I.N: Hey!

Y/N: Why did you run?

I.N: Simply.

Y/N: Ya. Let's go to the Dark House.

I.N: No thank you, last time you were shaking for a day after we went to one.

Y/N: I want to go! You said this was my pre birthday party!

I.N: You sure?

Y/n nods excitedly.

I.N: Ok! Let's go!

CUT TO:

INT. DARK HOUSE

I.N stands still not surprised as Y/n holds onto his coat and screams her lungs out, terrified.

I.N: I told you.

Y/N: Let's do one thing, you go ahead and if anything happens, you'll die first.

I.N: Wow, thanks bestie.

Y/N: Go!

She pushes him ahead.

I.N: Ok. Ok. Ok.

Scary things pop out as he walks ahead, not bothering him in the least. Y/n, reassured, starts walking behind him.

I.N: WHY-

He stops himself. A confused Y/n rushes to him.

Y/N: What's wrong-?

She sees Lee Know and Jae On a few paces ahead.

JAE ON: Daebak....um...hi...again.

I.N: You did not leave?...

He says his nostrils flaring and fists curled up tight, trying to control his anxiety and anger.

JAE ON: Lee Know wanted to come here.

I.N: Ahh... Lee Know...

JAE ON: We want to get out...but we're lost...

He laughs nervously as Lee Know blames his past life for all the pain he has to deal with now.

I.N: Oh...

Y/N: We can all try getting out together.

I.N sighs.

JAE ON: No. No.

2 minutes later.

I.N and Jae On walk ahead, talking about the event. Lee Know walks through the dark house, hard as a rock, while Y/n shuts her ears and prays.

Y/N: How...how are you not sc...scared?

LEE KNOW: Me?

Y/n nods, now her eyes closed too, trying very hard to distract herself.

LEE KNOW: Well...I'm naturally not scared of such things.

Y/N: You're so lucky.

LEE KNOW: I guess so.

Y/n slowly starts moving ahead, and opens her eyes.

Y/N: It's not real. It's not real.

Lee Know starts feeling something weird on his leg.

LEE KNOW: What is that?

Y/N: What?

Lee Know looks down and sees a creepy doll crawling up his leg. He yells and kicks it off. Y/n starts laughing at his terrified condition.

Y/N: I'm naturally not scared!!

Lee Know smiles.

Meanwhile I.N and Jae On.

I.N: I'll do the best I can. Hopefully we'll catch the culprits.

JAE ON: Thanks-

THUD! I.N and Jae On's heads turn. They run to the source.

JAE ON: Lee Know!

He looks at Lee Know on the ground, tripped over a prop. He helps him up.

I.N: Where is Y/n?!

JAE ON: Are you okay?

LEE KNOW: Yeah...yeah...

I.N gasps seeing Y/n on the floor. Lee Knows eyes widen. I.N helps Y/n up.

I.N: Are you okay?

Y/N: Um...yeah...

She rubs her head.

I.N: How did you fall?!

Y/n points at Lee Know.

Y/N: Because of that stalker.

LEE KNOW: I'm sorry-

He realizes. All of them do, except Y/n.

LEE KNOW: You know me?

Y/N: DUH! I'M GOING TO KILL Y-

Lee Know hugs her.

LEE KNOW: I was really worried!

I.N's jaw drops.

JAE ON: Okayy...

Y/N: What're you doing?

A few meters behind them, Omma puts a syringe back in her pocket and walks out speaking into her phone.

OMMA: She's ready.

FADE OUT.
