Predators

Giant pandas face very few predators. A fully grown panda is far too formidable a foe for most predators, but some animals can prey on cubs. Potential predators include jackals, snow leopards and yellow-throated martens, all of which are capable of killing and eating panda cubs. Rarely do their predators succeed though, because usually they are able to climb up a tree and hide where they can't get them or their mothers will kill them or scare them away. The ways they get the panda are all different. How the Snow Leopard attacks is it can run fast so it runs and attacks the panda which makes them run, so then it gets past the adult panda, so then it chases the panda until it climbs up a tree, or its mother breaks the distance and protects it. If it was successful, it would grab the baby and run. However, the yellow-throated martens would swing on a tree and go by fast and try to grab the baby while others distracted the mother. If it was successful, it would grab the panda and swing away, and the rest would follow after distracting the mother for a long enough time for the other monkey to get away. Also, if a jackal were to try, it would go in a pack and hunt them and slowly one by one lunge and try to get past the mother. The mother would usually be able to smack them with her paw, though, and pandas are amazingly strong, so they would pretty much fly almost 3 feet, and then they would be scared and run away. Also, if that happened, it could crush it's neck with its powerful jaws.
