Chapter 26

Kunti blinked her eyes open, "Draupadi... " Her name was like a constant mantra, Arjun slipped out of the room to go check on his wife. His anger still was his constant companion, his pain a constant reminder of her oath.

He moved towards her door and tried to push it open but in vain. "Draupadi open the door!" He shouted, angry. She was trying to hide from them but why?! He knocked harder but even after waiting for few minutes when he received no reply his anger turned into worry.

"Little one?" He called tenderly, "princess open the door." Called out again. His worry was now sky rocketing, he took the gandiv and shot an arrow to the door. It flew open and he rushed in, he felt his blood freeze as he saw his wife unconscious on the floor. "Panchaali!" He shouted, horror lacing his words as he rushed in. "Panchaali what happened?" He questioned as he crouched next to her.

Terror tightened its grip on his heart, as he patted her cheeks trying to wake her up but all in vain. He picked her up and instantly rushed to his mothers room where Nakul and Sahadev were.

"Mata are you alright?" Sahadev asked as he sat next to her, "I'm fine putro. Where is my putri?" She asked as she looked around. The brothers sighed, "in her room... " Before Bheem could complete his sentence, the door to the room was pushed open.

Their hearts froze, "Panchaali!" they all called out together worry pooling in the pit of their stomach. Arjun laid her on the bed. "Putri! What happened to her?" Kunti asked stressed as she looked at her daughter, "Something is really wrong mata." Nakul whispered as he began to check her vitals, "Her stress level had gone way out control. So much stress is not good in pregnancy. " Sahadev whispered as he held her wrist in his. "What would happen if someone told us that in future she will get married to someone else and we would have to see her everyday with him?" Bheem questioned, his voice was laced with pain, nothing but pain. Now that his anger had left him he could see her point of view.

"BHEEM!" Yudhisthir shouted enraged, "BHRAATASHREE!" the other three shouted just as angry. Their hearts burning from fury, if it wasn't for him being their brother, they might have killed him. "Anger? Fury? Agony? That's what we feel, just by thinking of her allowing someone else in her life enrages us, than how do we expect her to be okay with it? She is brought up just like us, in a similar manner, same values, not like any other normal girl. So when Devi Vidhi told her that what's her future holds, did she really do wrong?"  Bheem's question had everyone go quiet and look down at their wife. Their hearts melting as they looked at her.

"We need to assure her. Her fears are getting best of her." Yudhisthir said and the others nodded, they sat with her, not ready to live her alone. . .

Draupadi blinked her eyes open. "Wake up lazy head." Arjun whispered as he pressed his lips to her hand, a slow smile spread on her face, "Arya?" She questioned, her voice a bit confused. "Yes me. You see, everyday it's you who help us with our daily tasks. Today we thought how good would it be to break that rule and give you a surprise." He said, as he looked at her, she smiled as she looked up at him with surprise.

"Surprise arya?" She asked as she looked up at him. "Yes surprise." He said with a smile. "What surprise?" She really was confused as she questioned him but there was also happiness.

"If I'll tell you than how would it be a surprise?" He questioned with a smile on his face, "but arya... " She whined but was cut off by him. "No go get ready." He said as he pulled her up to stand next to him and he took her to her room.

When Panchaali got out of her room, their entire wing was submerged in darkness, little diya lit the place. It looked so beautiful that her breath hitched at it's beauty.

The path that lead to the gardens were lit brighter, she walked towards the gardens. Rose petals were laid on the ground like a carpet as the soft sound of the sitar could be heard.

The soft petals of rose lead her to the gardens, where the trees had glass bottles with diyas in them, lighting the trees beautiful.

A swing made of flowers stood right in the middle, she was in awe with her surroundings. The soft smell of roses and lotus was in air, her payals made soft sounds.

"What happened to the gardens?" She asked her words laced with awe, tendrils with various flowers ran around the swing. It was perfect.

She turned and moved to the left, from where the sitars melody was coming. The place was lit with diyas and decorated with flowers, one huge swing set in between. On the left side of the swing Arjun sat playing sitar.

Yagseni moved forward her eyes looking at her husband, who had his eyes closed. She felt like the time had stopped, all she could do was listen to him. She felt like the music was pulling her in, arms wrapped around her and she turned, her eyes meeting with Sahadev who smiled at her.

"Welcome my queen." He whispered in her ear, a pleasurable shiver ran down her body. "You look so very beautiful." He complimented making her blush harder, "Arya whats this?" She asked looking at all the beautiful decorations. "A beautiful surprise for our beautiful wife and our beautiful baby." He whispered as he put his hand on her stomach, his heart swelled with joy.

Arjun opened his eyes as he set down the sitar, "you play so well arya. " She said honestly, he smiled as he held his arms open for her, "Can I have a hug than?" He asked making her blush, she nodded as she moved towards him, her arms wrapped around him slowly as she looked up at him.

"You're looking even more gorgeous today." He whispered in her ear, making her heart skip a beat. Arjun wrapped his arm around her waist as she laid her head on his shoulder. He turned her around and pointed in the direction of the sky.

Yudhisthir, Bheem and Nakul joined them each one hugged her, the pandavas made her and Yudhisthir sit on the swing. As they all looked at her,  while she looked at the sky where many firecrackers, she was in awe while they were in awe with her.

"Our hearts would forever be yours yagseni." Yudhisthir said as she looked at him, she smiled at him, but it soon turned into shock when the five brothers took away their angvastr revealing a tattoo of her name right over their hearts.

"Arya! What did you all do? It must have hurt so much." She whispered as she looked at them, her eyes filled with tears. "Not more than seeing your heart filled with pain." Nakul whispered as he wiped her tear with his thumb.

"Not more than seeing the one person whom we love more than life crying." Arjun continued, his words laced with agony. "Not more than seeing the mother of our child suffer." Bheem whispered, his voice agonised as he kissed her forehead. "Not more than seeing the queen of my hearts doubt her position in our lives." Sahadev mumbled softly in her ears, tears filled in his eyes.

"Not more than seeing my other half panic over her future." Yudhisthir said as he pressed his lips to her forehead. "We don't know what our future holds but today we promise you little one that in our lives no one, no one would ever, ever take your place in our lives. Your rights shall always remain yours, your position in our life shall always remain the same, your happiness would always be our priority." Yudhisthir promised as the other four nodded, tears ran down her cheeks, as her heart filled with joy all her doubts were cleared as the five kissed her forehead.

"I love you. " The five mumbled together making her look up at them in shock, that soon turned into happiness. "I love you all." She whispered as they all hugged her.

"Oh we are forgetting the most important surprise." Nakul said as he pulled back along with his brothers. "What's next?" She asked excited. "Have some patience love." Arjun whispered as he tied a blindfold around her eyes.

"Arey but where are we going?" She asked chuckling as her husbands pulled her in, she didn't know where they were guiding her. A door was opened and than she heard some more shuffling as her blindfold was removed.

Her breath hitched as she looked at the room, it was painted white with various sorts of flowers decorating it. In the middle of the room there was a double bed with soft mattress and white sheets as well as pillows. A white canopy of silky curtains surrounding it. In the front of the bed was a crib for a baby and a plush white rocking chair next to it.

Toys of all kinds decorated the room, as Panchaali stepped in flower petals showered over her, her heart was overjoyed. On the floor there was a huge heart made of rose petals that read, Welcome Mata and Baby. Tears of joy traced down her cheeks.

"God what shall I do with my girl?! She cries when she is sad, she cries when she is angry and she even cries when she is happy." Nakul said making others laugh, she turned towards him and ran in his arms. He wrapped his arms around her, "we are glad you liked it. " Bheem whispered.

"You have no idea how much I love it." She said as she looked around at the room. Her husbands smiling at her, what could they want than seeing her happy? And today they felt the happiest like they had won the world, and maybe they had. . .
