Greeting from the Writers
Hello, it's Kat and Mia!
This is a little extra thank you for Kat and Mia for the support and love Pancakes and Paper Planes has received over the past 365 days since we first got the idea.
HAPPY WATTPADAVERSARY TO US AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PANCAKES AND PAPER PLANES!!!
To start thing rolling we have to give the BIGGEST THANK YOU HUG EVER AND SHOUTOUT to Uncle Kevin (technically he's not Kat's uncle but that's not important).
Uncle Kevin, little did he know he was starting us on the road to greatness and happiness.
Story time!!!
We were sitting around the table eating tacos or something like that) and Uncle Kevin mentioned the fact that he was interested in going to The "Fly-in Pancake Breakfast" the next morning. He wondered if anyone was interested in joining him. He wasn't even talking to us because (reasons). Mia turned to me and said, "I've got a great title idea." We'd been talking about writing a novel together sometime. "What is it?" I asked. Pancakes and Paper Planes was the answer, of course. Once we were excused we both ran to the bedroom and started talking about our ideas. I love the title idea and all thanks to Uncle Kevin who inspired the title. We decided we wanted to write a story about a girl who had a social anxiety disorder whose mom was famous and sets her up with a boy. The next morning we started writing the first chapter and the rest is history!
This was a really great experience for the both of us. We've co-authored about eight or nine Rama Jones books over several summers, Christmas breaks, and mid-winter vacations but we were ready for something a little more advanced.
Rama Jones was about a girl named Lulu Jones who had WAAAY too many pets including a bunny named Rama. Just to give you an idea she had like 10 blue wolves which are a completely original type of wolf. She had probably like 30+ pets and she lived in Hawaii with her family who never had any problems besides her pets getting lost for stupid reasons. They were pretty cute and imaginative and full of hideous illustration from yours truly.
Far from it but that's okay. It makes Pancakes and Paper Planes look like a masterpiece.
Tomorrow the two of us will be reunited after what seems like forever and we will start releasing content for Where I'm Not Wanted which is out next book together. We are thrilled to start a new adventure with you lovely people.
But before we saw farewell to the chapter that was the adventure of Pancakes and Paper Planes
Promise me (insert's your name) Promise me
You will never forget about this little book.
Because writing a book is rather like becoming a parent. You create these beautiful characters that never leave you and you just love with all your heart.
Pancakes and Paper Planes is our baby and we hope you stay with us throughout of new adventures.
We love you!!!
Love and Love and love again

Here is an exclusive clip of a fluffy little scene about the first time Lauren met Miles.
A waft of cool air meets me as I walk into the audition studio and sit down. The butterflies in my stomach refused to calm down and I was afraid my lunch would make a reappearance during my audition.
"Hey, you're looking a little pale. You feeling alright?" I turn around to see a young man standing in front of me. His eyes were the first thing that I noticed. A deep, deep blue.
"I'm just a little nervous," I reply.
He narrows his stunning eyes. "Are you sure about that? Your hand is shaking."
I look down at my hand and noticed he's correct.
"It's just a little case of the nerves," I say, shrugging.
"For an actress who's been on Broadway, I wouldn't expect to see you having stage fright at an audition."
"My drama teacher told me once that being nervous means it's still exciting."
He laughs. "My drama teacher told me the same thing."
"I'm Lauren Tanner." I extend my hand, smiling. "You are?"
"Miles Lachowski," he replies, firmly shaking my hand before letting it go. "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Miles, the name rolls over my tongue like melted honey.
"Are you auditioning for Romeo?" I question, bringing my hand back to my side. It's still trembling.
"How did you guess?" he says, raising his eyebrows.
"Psychic powers" I tease. "But I bet you'll never guess who I'm auditioning for?"
"No way a girl as talented as you would audition for the role of Juliet Capulet." He's grinning.
"You must be psychic too. We really should hang out sometime."
"My friends would be really jealous if they caught me hanging out with such a pretty girl though," he jokes, running a hand through his dark hair to fake worry.
"Did you just call me pretty?" I ask. Wow, I say to myself.
"No, I'm quite sure I just called you the ugliest thing on this planet," Miles says.
"Thanks, Miles. That's really sweet," I reply, smirking.
"Oh, cupcake, we're so very alike, you and I." I notice he's still standing, so I beckon for him to sit down beside me on the bench.
"You're saying my lines," I complain. He just recited my exact part from The Little Mermaid. I'm seriously touched that he saw me in The Little Mermaid and actually remembered my lines. When was the last time I was on that show? Four years ago. I could barely remember the tune of Poor Unfortunate Souls.
"How could I forget them? You kinda made me remember how much I love being on stage," he says, inching closer to me. I'm sure I wasn't supposed to notice.
"I made you feel all that?"
"Oh, Lauren, dear, someday the world is gonna know your name for much more than just as Ursula." He puts his arm around my shoulder.
I beam and my nerves run away like water.
"You to Miles, you too."
We just might be posting a book containing a bunch of short stories about all the different characters, so if you're interested please let us know. We still haven't quite decided if we want to go through with the idea or not.
WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
