I don't know about you but for me, cuddling transports me to a serene place where I can lose myself in tranquillity in the warmth of the person's embrace I am snuggling in.

Similarly, Taehyung was feeling serene. The anxiety and commotion in his wild soul calmed down as soon as his body was flushed against the younger's. Even in this condition, Jungkook still played the little spoon by cocooning himself in Tae's chest.

The brown head is certainly not complaining. One of his favourite moments with Jungkook is when he can easily pamper the younger like this. As he felt the warmth against his chest increase, the older inhaled deeply, loving the fresh cool oceanic scent on Jungkook.

He smelled fresh and relaxing.

"Tae? Are you feeling better now?"

Half an hour must have passed since the time Jungkook climbed onto the bed to find the older tossing and turning on the bed. Restlessness was plastered all over his face indicating the discomfort in his heart.

"Yea."

Jungkook looked up. Although he can't look into the eyes of the man he cared for with the position he was pushed against. He tried his best to ensure he paid all his attention to Taehyung. "You wanna talk?"

"Aren't you tired Bambi?" Taehyung adjusted himself, allowing Jungkook easy access to his handsome face. There is no way Tae is going to talk without having the luxury to stare at Jungkook's adorable face.

"No, I want to know why are you looking disturbed. You don't usually look like this though."

"Do I look uglier than this?"

Jungkook rolled his eyes at the older's mocking. If Taehyung looks ugly then what makes the rest of us? Trolls.

"Stop it, I wasn't joking. I am worried." Jungkook landed his chin right on the centre of Taehyung's chest as he swung his right leg over the older's body. Taehyung laid straight adjusting the height of his head so that he can cuddle Jungkook comfortably.

With one arm under his head and the other running up and down Jungkook's back, Taehyung inhaled and exhaled deeply deciding that he want to speak transparently with Jungkook about Lucas.

"Who was the man that offered you a ride back home Kook?"

"The one in the mini?"

"Mhm. Who is that?"

"That's Lucas. Lucas Kallister. He is also a student at Keller's. I wasn't aware of him until in recent days he approached me saying he is the second top student in the business school. Right behind me coz, I am the topper." Jungkook's proud grin was making an appearance making Taehyung coo internally.

"Do you know who Lucas Kallister is?"

"I just told you." Jungkook couldn't understand where is Taehyung going with this.

"What I meant is, do you know his origin and who he is? Like his family background, status? Doesn't the word Kallister ring a bell Kook?" Taehyung gently pushed his fingers from the nape of Jungkook's back to his soft raven locks. The older was getting too comfortable in playing with Jungkook's hair as the younger focused so hard on deciphering the equation.

"Kallister?" The word did ring a bell in Jungkook's mind but he wasn't sure which bell does this sound belongs to.

"OMG! He is Aunt Sara's son!" Jungkook couldn't have yanked himself off sooner than he did from Taehyung breaking the older's hold on him.

"Why did you sit up?" Taehyung hated the loss of contact he experienced as Jungkook apologised and crawled back to the same position putting a satisfying smile on Taehyung's face.

"I was just shocked. I didn't imagine I will be so lucky to meet your cousin brother. What are the odds anyway."

"You think you're lucky you met him?"

"Well I didn't mean it in a way coz I have anything for him, it's more like the coincidence of it which makes me feel lucky. I mean, what are the odds right?"

"The odds aren't too far apart if you're studying in Keller's Business School Jungkook. His father is now the President of the University. Of coz, Lucas is going to be there. It's too bad he can't stand out by being the topper coz my little bunny over here is a one smart kookie." Taehyung leaned in to plant a soft kiss on the tip of Jungkook's nose making the younger scrunch it playfully.

"I still don't get why would it upset you if I met Lucas. He didn't look that bad. He was very nice to me."

That is the part where Taehyung is unsure of how to explain without sounding petty. With another heavy sigh, Taehyung opened up the part of his story which he had never really told Jungkook before. It feels like he has been unloading all his burden to Jungkook and Tae isn't even sure if by the end of his downloading, will Jungkook even bother to like him anymore?

"As a friend, I bet he is. Lucas is a good man, but he might not be the best son or cousin. He has a reputation in the VANTE group for his rebelliousness and attitude. He never likes to be second, not at all. I know for a fact his mischievousness knew no boundary as he would always make errors on purpose, directing them to me."

Whenever this happens, Taehyung will be hearing an earful from his parents back then as well as the other senior managers. When Taehyung was at the age between 16 - 18, he was actively participating in a lot of company's meeting and proposal making.

That was when Lucas who was still budding into his teenage phase will always cook up some error so that Taehyung will fail and never stands out.

Guess karma is a bitch as each time Lucas tries to pull Taehyung down, the older only climbed even higher. On the day he decided to walk out of VANTE, Lucas was thrilled. He was extremely happy that he can finally rule the company when he completes his degree at Keller's.

Another wave of karma hit when he was asked to marry Maya Lim, someone who was previously engaged to none other than Taehyung himself.

"He was never the one to feel satisfied Kook. One time, he went to the length of destroying one of our government documents which I was supposed to read and write a report on. I was scolded badly as the loss of these documents cost VANTE a loss of profit at 1 million dollars."

"Lucas knows that without me being in VANTE, he will have all the power to the heritage the fortune. He likes to be in power and control. That's the Lucas I know."

"It doesn't sound like the Lucas I saw." Jungkook admitted. He can't judge the silver head by his friction with VANTE and Tae. Jungkook can only judge Lucas based on how he behaves with Jungkook.

"Everybody has a side of them which they don't show Kooks. And we all have a different face when we deal with people we love, with someone who we hate and so on."

Jungkook can't deny that. The way he behaves around Taehyung is never the same as he behaves with Jimin or Hoseok in front of Tae. There is a difference.

"Lucas aims to make me beg. He knows that Uncle Kent will find no one but me as the news about me borrowing money from Aunt Sara turned viral."

The raven head pitied Taehyung. All the brown head is trying to do is get the hell away from his family. His two-bedroom apartment was through the hard earn money he saved from the business before, Taehyung is not financially burdened to be depending on his family's fortune if all they do in return is trying to fit him into a mould he hates.

"Why does he want to make you beg him?"

"He wanted to rebel so we will come down to earth and persuade him. That's one of his ways of making things flow his way. He is the youngest in the family and there is no one else who can take over the seat if it's not for Lucas."

"How about Namjoon?"

"Joon is a director, he can bid for the CEO position in the future but not now. That seat comes with a hefty price and Kent will never give it to an outsider."

Jungkook nodded his head digesting all these corporate affairs which he honestly thought only exist in dramas. He was also contemplating if he should share about Lucas's odd reaction earlier in the car.

"Don't furrow your brows too much Bambi." Taehyung used the index of his finger to even out the raven head's furrowed brows. "What are you thinking anyway?"

"I wanted to let you know that I find Lucas's reaction in seeing you was odd. I didn't understand then but I do now. He asked to drop me home first before he can tell me something he wants to say." Jungkook thought through harder than be.

"Does he know about us?" Jungkook's eyes widened. "Are we too obvious?" The younger ones started to get paranoid.

"Why does it matter if someone sees us together? Besides, I think he wasn't expecting us to be this close. He probably wanted you all to himself as he can't stand to have things shared. Just like his hatred to those who always get ahead before him."

Jungkook couldn't understand fully why would Lucas come after him when he has nothing to offer. The ravenette didn't put into his conscious thought about the possibility it might unveil having Lucas close to him. Neither of the boys could anticipate what is cooking in Lucas's mind.

What caught Jungkook's attention is some other thing entirely.

"You don't mind if someone sees us together?" His doe-eyes sparkled in the dim light.

Taehyung's worry was long gone. The minute he was being greeted by the doe-eye boy, he was a goner. The older was smirking when he hears the surprised tone in Jungkook's voice. Confronting Lucas is one thing Taehyung wanted to do, but the older also had another topic in mind which he wanted to disclose and Jungkook did a perfect job by opening the doors for him.

"Why would I when I have such an amazing man like you by my side." Tae slowly switched their position. He gently laid Jungkook on his back while he remained on the side with his fingers brushing off the strands of raven hair hiding the younger's adorable eyes.

"Tae..." Jungkook couldn't even blink his eyes. Too much. Too much distraction being presented right in front of him as Taehyung continued to hover around the younger.

"I will never feel anything less or ashamed to have you by my side Bambi. I don't know what is Lucas planning and how the fuck am I going to handle my family but I promise you that I will not be a burden for you to carry."

The older pressed his head forward, warming Jungkook's forehead with his own.

"Taehyung, I have said it and I will say it again. You are not a burden to me. I like being here with you. With the good and the bad and everything in between. Even if we don't work out, I will be a friend which you can find peace in."

I hope we will be something more.

Jungkook's greedy heart made a wish as he closed his eyes to suppress the flow of tears threatening to escape him.

"Kook, can you look at me?"

The younger shakes his head. He dare not to look at the older right now. For some reason, Jungkook's mind was racing as his heart pumped aggressively. Why does Taehyung have to speak in such a deep tone with him?

"Bambi, look at me please?"

Jungkook felt the side of his left cheeks being gently stroke as he could feel the older's warm breath fanning down his face. The proximity of their faces couldn't be seen by the ravenette but Jungkook can feel the mingling of their breaths become one.

Slowly, the raven head mustered an ounce of courage to crack his eyelids open. He knows he will be attacked but what was expected as a visual attack turned physical the second his eyes were fully open.

With the pressure forcing its way to Jungkook's lips, his eyes remained open to only close while suppressing the moan which rises shamelessly. He didn't need to pretend as his body, mind and soul are enjoying the friction of the brown head's lips on his.

Soft nibbles and gentle pressures continue to make the younger's toes curl as his arms found a place to rest, right at the back of Taehyung's nape. Jungkook grip on the older's hair served as a pause and pull for him which he used to control the amount of pressure and pleasure they are enjoying in the kiss.

"Wait." Taehyung was the first to break the kiss making Jungkook conscious about his effort in taking a lead with the kiss. Maybe he is not a good kisser?

"Before this turn messy, I wanted to say something." With both his arms on either side of the ravenette, Taehyung licked his lower lips preparing for his confession while he trailed his eyes lustfully from the younger's swollen lips to his favourite spot, the doe-eyes.

"I like you too Bambi. Romantically."
