''3) Jungkook: phosphenes''

Phosphenes: the light and colours produced by rubbing your eyes. When you don't believe the miracle that is happening in front of you, you rub your eyes to see if it's real.

Jimin didn't want to be in the same room with Jungkook anymore.

The man's incredible stories about his trips to a plethora of countries seemed so ...spurious. Trips to Greece, Brazil, Argentina, France, Moroco...And he was only twenty two! Jimin could see his father's proud expression for his son in law, his mother's smile when the younger brat was descibing with exceptional details his journeys.

It made him  feel sick. Not because he was jealous of Jungkook's vast knowledge over a bunch of countries but due to how easily he was welcomed in the family.

''Jungkook, would you like to accompany me for a corona (cigar)? I would like to talk to you'' Mr. Park opened his cigar case and gave the boy one expensive cigar. Jungkook wasn't a smoker but he decided to go with a flow. Impress his future  father-in- law.

''Of course, it would be my pleasure'' he agreed and stood up to escort the man in the living room. Seeing that Jimin was barely affected by the whole conversation, he decided to ask him to join them.

''Would you like to join us Park?'' he asked and brought a cigar in front of Jimin's face. Jimin eyed the handsome man from head to toe with a quite judgmental look.

''I don't smoke Jeon but I would be honored to join your discussion'' he said with a smirk and stood up from the sofa neglecting Jungkook's offer. The twenty two year old was taken aback from the fact that Jimin was so straight forward in front of his stern parents. The man didn't even seem to care about their opinion, something that made Jungkook think that there must be a backstory between Jimin and his parents.

Despite the strong antipathy he had developed for the man, he could sense the unfair treatment he was given in contrast to his wife. The woman could have everything with a snap of her fingers even if she was younger and absent from the house most of the time. He didn't know about Jimin's habits or past but the man seemed far more well-intentioned.

After greeting Hoseok with a quick goodbye, Jimin accompanied the two men in the sitting room. The vintage ambiance brought chills to Jungkook's spine. A small, golden, crystal chandelier was hanging from the wooden ceiling while the floor was covered with a woolen, white carpet. Three white armchairs with timbered stakes were standing in the middle while the fireplace was warming up the atmosphere of the room. A sense of calmness and tranquility pierced Jungkook's body who had never experienced so much luxury and beauty in just one day. However the evenness vanished when he remembered that he was in the same room with Jimin.

Mr. Park sat in the middle, the two younger men sitting opposite to each other. The smoke of the expensive corona spread in the room, the older man's mouth blowing out black clouds of fume. Jungkook gulped, however he had to be convincing for the sake of his plan. Placing the cigar between his lips, he saw Jimin standing abruptly and grabbing the lighter. With a muffled chuckle, he approached Jungkook's side cockily and brought the lighter to the younger's lips.

Jungkook wanted to punch him so bad at that moment, yet he settled with lighting up his cigar. The scent of tobacco in his mouth burnt his esophagus, an instant cough ready to emit from his mouth. Jimin bit his lips in an attempt to silence his laughter and Mr. Park patted Jungkook's back who was coughing loudly.

''Are you alright? I thought you were smoking. Those are really expensive''.

''I haven't smoked for a little while so perhaps my body fell out of habit. I am sorry it won't happen again sir'' he reassured the man, not once averting his gaze to Jimin.

''So Jungkook...do you promise to love my daughter till death do you apart? To take care of her in sickness and in health ?''.

''Of course sir. I love her with all my heart, with all my being'' Jungkook smiled and it was time for Jimin to start coughing.

''Why are you coughing Jimin?'' his father inquired.

''It's just...the two previous ones said the exact same thing. And look where we are now'' the raven hair commented and rolled his fingers through his hair.

''I assure you, I never lie Jimin'' Jungkook blew out a cloud of smoke straight to Jimin's face.

''I am sure you wouldn't lie for something like that, Jeon'' Jimin replied back.

''Jimin, stop it, have some respect'' the man ordered and Jungkook chuckled when he saw Jimin gritting his teeth, trying to assuage whatever insult he was about to mumble.

''I am sure Jimin didn't mean to offend me Mr. Park. Perhaps he just cannot control himself. I can rein him in for you'' Jungkook teased and felt especially proud when he saw Jimin's tanned skin turning into a pale shade, whiter than ice.

''I love your sense of humor son'' the older man murmured and Jimin just rolled his eyes.

''But I didn't ask you to escort me here to listen to your jokes. You see Jungkook, you seem like an extremely honest and sincere man. I am really happy that my daughter will have the pleasure of marrying you. Your life and your trips must have taught you a few things and I am certain your lifestyle is similar to ours so that my daughter can actually live a life that  she deserves. However, I have particular conditions'' the man began to speak and Jungkook felt his stomach getting tied in a knot.

''This is interesting'' Jimin commented and sat cross-legged on the armchair.

''First, I hope that your servant is trustworthy enough to join our family. Tina cannot help you with your needs. She is already helping the three of us'' Mr. Park exclaimed.

''The three of you?'' Jungkook questioned curiously.

''Jimin is against these things. He sees her more as a friend than a servant ''.

''She isn't a servant. She is a human just like you and me, same goes for the grumpy guy you met at the door'' Jimin raised his voice slightly yet he regained his composure when he saw Jungkook's soft gaze.

''Jin is like family Mr. Park. He knows everything about me'' Jungkook admitted surprising both men. He had to do everything for the plan to work but he wasn't going to allow anyone to call his friend a servant.

''As you wish. Secondly, this is our volt'' the man pointed at a hidden door behind the tapestry. ''I trust you with all our property and I give you free access to the family's money''.

Jimin and Jungkook's mouths opened agape, both for totally different reasons. Jimin found the whole situation quite peculiar since his sister's two previous fiancés didn't have the pleasure of cramming their hands in the volt. Jungkook rubbed his eyes the moment he saw the gold inside the chamber. The phosphenes in his eyes, an indication that a miracle was happening in front of him, were increasing as Jungkook made thousand scenarios in his greedy mind.

''Thank you Mr. Park, with the uniting of our possessions, the vault might need to grow bigger'' he mumbled sarcastically.

''I have one more rule Jungkook'' the man spoke and with a press of a button, he closed the vault's door.

''Whatever you want sir. Whatever to make you and your daughter happy''.

''I want you to stay here for the time being. You aren't leaving this place until the marriage is done'' the man ordered sternly.

''SAY WHAT?'' the unique yet so different voices of the two men yelled simultaneously.
