Chapter 1

*CRASH!* *CRASH!* *CRASH!*

I jolted awake at the loud crashing that woke me up, followed by indistinct shouting from two of my brothers. I groggily rolled over and checked the time on my phone - it's 7:30 am.

'Ugh, what have these idiots done now?' I think to myself, now sitting up in my bunk, opening the curtain and getting down, confident that I will not be able to go back to sleep with this racket going on. As I stood just outside my bunk, I straightened out my old KISS t-shirt and leggings, putting my hair into a ponytail for now - using a hair tie on my wrist.

I walk into the central area of the bandwagon before doing anything else, to investigate what all of the noise was about - only to see both Remington and Sebastian smirking at me, each holding a symbol, most likely from Emerson's drum set, causing me to glare at them both.

"Why are you both waking me up at 7:30? - on a day off." I question the two grinning idiots that I have as two of my older brothers - while pinching the bridge of my nose, trying to keep myself awake.

"Yeah, why are you assholes being loud right now?" Emerson popped his head out of his bunk, his hair all over the place as he also glared at our brothers.

"We're on the border, so you kinda have to be awake for the next hour or so." Seb started, still having that annoying smirk on his face, Rem took the symbol out of Seb's hand and clanged them together again, causing the three of us to look at him, completely unimpressed.

"We're already awake, you can stop that now Rem!" I shout at the Nutella-loving idiot man-child I have for a brother.

"I know, I just wanted to do it again." Remi replied, still with the stupid smirk on his face, I just rolled my eyes at him and grabbed a clean shirt and a pair of skinny jeans from the end of my bunk and made my way into the small bathroom area to quickly get changed and brush my hair.

I am so glad that we managed to get a bandwagon a couple of days ago, the van we had was hell, from having no driver almost all of the time and the 'no personal space', to it breaking down a lot, this is a definite upgrade so far, and we have a small bathroom in the bandwagon but at least its something.

Once I was finished getting ready and doing my business, I went back to my bunk to grab my phone, a pair of socks and Rem's laptop to give back to him, as I had it last night to do some of my online school work, I only have three months left of it and then I'm finished with school.

I handed the laptop to Remi as I sat next to him on the sofa to put my socks and shoes on, Emerson was just getting out of his bunk, still in his clothes from yesterday, but he made his way to the bathroom as well, his clothes for today in his hands.

Rem and Seb were already fully dressed when they decided on the 'lovely' wake-up call they decided to give Em and me - hope anyone who reads this can detect the amount of sarcasm used within that sentence.

All we had to wait for now was to be checked by border control, as Emerson came out of the bathroom, a knock was heard on the door, and Seb stepped down to open the door for whoever was on the other side - they being the border control officer.

"Morning sir." Seb voiced, allowing the officer up the steps and onto the bandwagon.

"Good morning everyone,..." The officer greeted us, "... I'm officer Levesque, all I need to do is check all of your IDs and the trailer, and you folks should be good to go." Officer Levesque says, we all nod to him and go to our respective bunks to grab our passports and other forms of ID as necessary. Rem was the first to hand over his, then Emerson, Seb and finally me, all handed them over in turn.

"Okay, if you folks would just wait here for a couple of minutes so that these can be checked, and could one of you come with me so that I can check the trailer and answer some questions inside, you will be good to go." Officer Levesque said, giving us the option to choose who will follow.

"I'll follow, I'm the one with the key to the trailer anyway, just give me a sec to grab it from my bag, and I'll be right out, sir." I stated to the officer, already moving towards the fridge, as I left my bag on top of the shelf next to it, grabbing the keys and making my way outside to where Officer Levesque went.

As I unlocked the trailer I hung the lock on one of my belt loops and opened the doors, revealing the equipment and merch we had inside.

"Is there a list of what's inside here that you could bring inside and we can go through and ask some questions?" The officer asked, I nodded and grabbed Emerson's old art bag that now just has our log book and a couple of spare bits for his drumset - getting the book out, as he got a briefcase recently and had moved all of his art stuff into that.

"This is our log book, I keep it updated on the numbers and quality of everything in the trailer and most of the stuff in the bandwagon, just not the fridge quite yet, as that is nearly impossible to keep on top of." I state, lifting the book slightly into his sight. I quickly locked the trailer back up and followed Officer Levesque into the building, standing on opposite sides of a desk.

"Okay, I'll just check these passports and licenses first and then we can go through the book and answer some questions..." He said, starting the checks of the IDs, "... okay, these are all in order, now, if I may ask what your alls relation to each other is?" He questioned after the checks were finished, handing me all of the IDs, which I put into my pocket.

"It's fine, all three of them are my older brothers, the three of them are also in a band together, hence all of the equipment in the trailer, I am their 'merch girl' and tour assistant." I explained to him, as I handed over the log book to be checked through.

"I bet that can get a bit crazy, especially with the little space between you all, what type of music do they play?"

"To be honest, they've classed themselves as a 'fashion-art-rock' band, the bands called 'Palaye Royale', and kind of named after the dance hall 'Palais Royale' in Toronto where our grandparents met in the 50s, they are currently opening for Andy Black on tour.' I state to him, watching him then nod and search through the log book before he pauses a confused but at the same time amused expression on his face, as he points at something and looks up at me.

"What is an 'oh-shit' bag?" He lightly chuckles, as I facepalm - at who I'm guessing is Emerson or Remington's nickname for the kit bag, and probably changed the name in the book as we were packing up last night.

"It's a stupid nickname one of my brothers has for the kit bag that I carry around everywhere they go, it's got everything that they may need for gigs or in general, such as; picks, drum keys, strings, cables, tape, first-aid kit, etc. He probably named it the 'oh-shit' bag because it has everything for a gig or day-to-day emergency." I reply, not taking my hand off my face.

"I see, well everything seems to be in order, I'll follow you to the 'bandwagon' to tell your brothers and driver that everything is good to go." He states, closing the log book and handing it back to me and following me back to the bandwagon, stepping in with me.

"Okay gentlemen, everything is in order and your all set to go." He stated, shaking hands with each of my brothers in farewell, before stepping out of the bandwagon and shutting the door behind himself.

I turned to look at the two youngest of my older brothers, opening the log book to the kit bag inventory, and giving them a small glare as I did so.

"Okay, which one of you changed the name of the kit bag in the book to 'oh-shit' bag?" I pointedly asked the two dipshits, as it could have been either of them, Remington immediately pointed at Emerson - who just shrugged his shoulders at me, and Sebastian just laughed at the situation.

"What kind of reaction did he have?" Seb chuckled at me, as we all seated ourselves around the main area of the bus, hearing the engine start up.

"He looked so confused and amused at the same time, I had to explain what the bag was and that one of you probably gave it that nickname." I answered, handing the IDs back to them, then pulled out my phone to message Andy and John - Andy's tour manager, to tell them that we've just crossed the border and that we should be in Montreal in the next hour or so.

I checked my other notifications and saw some messages from friends, and alerts from my Twitter, Instagram and email, but I also saw a message from our momma, Stephanie Rachel Cowper, I first went through the messages that I have, answering them as I go through.

When I reached the message from our mother, I smiled to myself, having not seen our mother in person in a while, she and I came up with the plan to surprise my brothers - we of course cleared this with Andy and his crew weeks in advance, they seemed to be just as excited about the surprise as I was, and so far only Andy's crew, Andy himself and our mother and I are the only people who know.

We had planned the whole thing in a way that, when the boys are doing sound check during set up tomorrow, I - with the help of Andy and a couple of his crew, will sneak our mom into the boys' dressing room, using the backdoor and having people stall my brothers with soundcheck for as long as possible.

' Hey Flower, just landed, can't wait to see you and your brothers tomorrow. Xx '

That message was sent two hours ago, along with a photo of one of our cousins picking her up - as she will be staying with them for a couple of days before heading back home to Vegas.

I smiled lightly as I quickly click the video call button, also quickly gaining all three of my brothers' attention, hearing the ringing coming from my phone as they all looked towards me curiously, Remington was about to question me, probably to ask who I am calling but stops as our mother answers.

"Hi, momma!" I greeted smiling at our mother, the boys perked up and started to try and take the phone, causing me to try and manoeuvre myself to stop them from taking my phone.

"BOYS!" Our momma scolded them through the phone, and immediately all three of them backed off, allowing me to place the phone where all four of us could be seen on the screen with our mother, Seb and Rem sitting on the sofa and Emerson and I on the floor in front of them.

"Hey, momma!" The boys greeted, smiling innocently at her, mom just chuckled at them, while I rolled my eyes. 'As if they didn't just try wrestling MY phone from me.' I thought to myself.

"How are you all doing?" Momma questioned us, smiling at the four of us - the four of her kids that many babysitters either loved watching or hated with a passion, due to the shenanigans we all pulled as young kids.

"We're doing good, we haven't long just crossed the border, we are on our way to Montreal, ready for tomorrow and then we have a show in Toronto the day after." Seb answered, smiling at our momma as he did so, Remington doing the same, while Emerson and I pouted.

"Please, you were not the one who had to explain to a border patrol officer, the stupid nickname one of you dipshits came up with for the emergency kit bag..." I started glaring at Emerson, who just shrugged his shoulders, giggling slightly, "... nevermind the other two of you who thought it would be a marvellous idea to wake me up at 7:30 on a day off, by banging drum cymbals together." This time Em joined me in glaring at our older brothers.

All that could be heard, while the staring continued between my brothers and I was our momma laughing through the phone, probably knowing that Emerson and I would somehow get our revenge for them waking us up, as we often did as children as well - let's just say that all four of us gave our momma a run for her money with our antics.

However, this type of scenario wasn't anything new to her, as she was accustomed to three of us (Seb, Rem and I) waking each other up in weird ways, especially when we were all still in school, mornings would be hell for Emerson and I if it was Rem waking us up, he would first wake Seb and then the both of them would flip our mattresses - with us still on top, and blast any song he could if we even attempted to go back to sleep afterwards.

(Time Skip: Arriving in Montreal, Quebec)

We were on the call with our mother for approximately an hour before she said that she had to go, giving me a little smile and blowing us all a kiss - which each of us reciprocated as she hung up, I picked up my phone, nudging each of my brothers as I did so - which may have been purposeful and not accidental, but that is what they get for A) waking me up as they did, B) changing the logbook and making me have to explain Emerson's nickname to border patrol and C) tackling me to try and take my phone.

We all dispersed again - well as much as we could, trying to have our feeling of personal space, while also not having much space to do that in. Emerson ended up sitting at the little table we had - his sketchbook in front of him, Remington was on his bunk with the laptop - most likely watching a movie or the office (again), Sebastian was on the sofa closest to the door and I was sat opposite of Seb on the other sofa, while Seb was just on his phone, I was checking through my emails and calendar simultaneously, checking over the schedule for the next week.

We were all sat like this, with each of the boys occasionally either moving around or starting some shit with each other - I've learnt by now to block them out most of the time, only getting involved when I know that they could get seriously hurt or they've tried to start shit with me - then I will retaliate, we've all just been in VERY close quarters for way too long.
