A/N: the start is when they were little: aka they were childhood friends

"You're so tiny..."

Evie said, sticking her tongue out at the small male. She poked his cheek.

"I-I'm not tiny! And don't touch me!"

Talus pouted, his hands balling to fists at his sides. His face flushed.

Evie giggled, and patted him on the head.

"Dream all you want, you're still small, no matter what you say!"

Talus frowned, and turned away from Evie.

"I'll be sure to grow tall, taller than you, one day!"

He vowed, and Evie rolled her eyes.

"Whatever you say, little guy."

TIME SKIP

"Hey, Evie! Long time no see!"

Talus said, waving his hand at the blue-haired girl. She turned around, eyes widening with surprise, her grip tightening on her backpack straps. Evie stopped to let Talus catch up with her.

"O-Oh, hey, Talus!"

She stared at him.

Talus was now a tall, muscular boy with an adorable smile on his face.

"I told ya I'd grow taller! And look, I'm taller than you now!"

He smirked, and she sighed.

"I guess so."

Talus suddenly picked her up, and she squeaked in surprise.

"I guess I can also pick you up now!"

He said happily, and Evie blushed.

"P-Put me down!"

"Nope!"
