These are all covers commissioned by nmdean, whose writing is incredible and whose work you should definitely check out if you love yourself a steampunk fantasy based in Russia, including circuses, war, and magic galore!

I was really excited to start working on this request! Nicole's ideas all revolved around interesting background images and most importantly, the animal insignias that correlate with the title. As you all know, I adore A). colors, B). the font Desire, C). text-based covers, D). light flares, and E). glitter, and I was able to incorporate all of them into the design!

01. TO DANCE WITH FOXES

The main colors here are gold, copper, and purple. In the background is a Russian city, and depicted on the shield is a fox.

02. TO RACE WITH STALLIONS

The main colors here are silver, blue, and teal. In the background is a wintry mountain landscape, and depicted on the shield is a horse.

03. TO ROMP WTIH TIGERS

The main colors here are gold, orange, and bronze. In the background is a crumbling desert ruin, and depicted on the shield is a tiger.

04. TO BLAZE WITH DRAGONS

The main colors here are RAINBOW (blue, green, magenta, red, yellow), silvers, and grays. In the background are misty cliffs, and depicted on the shield is a dragon.
