It was convincing yet not convincing.

Still, everyone believed her.

'Woah! Is this the entrance?' Atlas asked.

'Of course. Otherwise, why do you think this door is so big?' Sasha taunted.

'It's too old! But the interior is fine!' Namjoon said.

Jungkook and Hoseok helped them to open the door. When they walked inside it was pitch black.

Y/N, Atlas, Namjoon, and Hoseok turned on their torch lights as they paired up with others.

Y/N, Namjoon, Namjoon's fiancée, and Becky were walking forward. Yoongi, Hoseok, Jungkook, Sasha, and Atlas were following.

Hoseok was a scaredy cat as he squeezed himself between Yoongi and Jungkook.

Y/N was also a scaredy cat. But the place they were now wasn't scary for her at all.

She could even walk while closing her eyes.

Y/N's eyes were watery but nobody could see it.

'That door is also big. I guess it's the ballroom.' N/F spoke. (Namjoon's fiancée)

'Should we go upstairs?' Yoongi asked.

'Let's explore the first floor.' Jungkook suggested.

'Can I go and explore on my own?' Y/N asked.

'No. You are our responsibility. What if something happens?' Jungkook said.

'I will take Becky with me.' Y/N frowned.

'I won't go alone!' Becky shivered.

Others also agreed to walk together.

Y/N was reluctant. She told Becky to walk forward as she backed away and followed them slowly. Leary intending to slip away.

Only Jungkook sees through her intention.

He keenly looked after her.

They walked upstairs to the first floor.

'Woah.....' Atlas was astonished.

Not only her but everyone was.

They went to a room right beside the stairs and found it the study room of the royals.

There were several books torn apart or half-eaten by the insects and bugs.

Namjoon took one of the books in his hand and opened it after dusting the dust.

They all looked at the book and found the language unknown.

'We won't know what is written here.' Hoseok frowned.

'It seems like papers with a royal stamp.' Namjoon showed them.

Y/N came forward.

She was reading what was written on that page.

'Bang Si Hyuk has agreed to send 20000 soldiers for King Jeon and his war camp.

Y/N widened her eyes.

She never knew that it was Bang Si Hyuk who helped Jungkook when he was in a war with the northern King.

'What happened boss?' Becky saw Y/N's expression and asked.

Y/N quickly shook her head.

They then went to another room. It was a bedroom. The curtains were torn. It was too dusty.

While they were going to another room, Y/N slipped away as she planned.

She quietly walked towards the study room again as she looked at the big painting hanging on the wall.

She placed her hands and pushed the painting away. There was a paper rose behind that painting.

She took the paper rose and pulled out a huge key which was inside that paper rose.

The key had a royal stamp and blood on it. Her heart trembled. She knew this was her blood.

Y/N took a deep breath and walked towards the study table. There was an old carpet. She pushed that carpet away and looked at the door which leads to the real study room and basement.

Her heart trembled again. But before she could do anything she heard a loud noise.

More like a scream.

She pushed the key into her jeans pocket and rushed outside only to see everyone right beside that study room.

'Why were you alone boss?! We tried to find you!' Becky cried out.

'I was only trying to take some books and research on it.' Y/N spoke innocently.

No one doubted her.

But a disaster happened.

'Oh no Atlas!' N/F and Sasha cried out.

Y/N looked confused.

'Atlas stepped on a weak floor and fell downstairs!' Becky said.

Others were already spreading out to find her.

'She...she has an asthma problem!' Sasha cried.

'Let's go downstairs!' Yoongi said.

Everyone was worried for the girl.

Y/N widened her eyes as soon as she heard Becky.

'From where?!'

'There!'

Y/N looked at where Hoseok pointed.

'Shit!'

She knew they wouldn't find her downstairs.

They also heard Atlas's scream.

Y/N quickly rushed downstairs. Seeing how she ran, everyone followed her.

Jungkook was the only one who was too close to her path.

Y/N came downstairs and walked towards the ballroom.

Others frowned because the ballroom was in the opposite direction of where Atlas fell.

'Where are you going?' N/F asked.

'Atlas should be in the torture room!' Y/N spoke unintentionally.

'Torture room?!' Namjoon frowned.

Yet they followed the confident Y/N who ran inside the ballroom.

Y/N stumbled into the broken table as she got up and opened another door which led to another staircase.

Everyone was astonished to see another staircase.

They went downstairs again and found a jail door.

Their heart trembled.

They found the injured Atlas.

'Atlas!' The girls cried out.

'How do you know this?' Namjoon asked as soon as his fiancée and Sasha grabbed Atlas.

'I explored this floor a few days ago. That's why I said that I wanted to explore separately since I have seen the first floor.'

'You came alone?!' Jungkook asked.

Y/N didn't feel the need to answer him.

'How can you come alone boss?' Becky was scared.

'I don't get scared. Ghosts and other scary things are like a story for me. Nothing else. I have been like this since I was a child. I have explored many haunted houses with my cousins.' Y/N said.

It was true that she explored haunted houses with her cousins but it was a lie that she was not a scaredy cat.

'Ohh!' Yoongi nodded.

Only Jungkook stood in the dark. His expression was hidden under the dark.

'Liar.' He thought.
