Some of you may have noticed ads between chapters of my books, and there is a reason for that. I have been lucky enough to be invited and participate in the Wattpad Futures Program. This is an unexpected yet amazing opportunity for me and my writing career. Much like YouTube, these ads help keep Wattpad a free service for writers and readers. All you have to do is click on the short video ad and Wattpad will receive payment from the advertiser. This brings me to my next point. By being a part of the Futures Program, I will also get paid for having advertisements in my work. This is a great way for writers to receive an income for all the hard work and long hours they put in to give you guys material to read.

You don't have to click the ad if you don't want to. There is no obligation. You will have the option to skip it and continue on to the next chapter. I know the idea of ads interrupting your reading may be annoying, but they are very short and it really helps keep Wattpad free. If you think about it in a positive way, you can give your eyes a short break while the ads play.

I am so lucky and I can't thank you all for bringing me to this point to actually have this opportunity. You all know that I love writing and if school and work weren't so time consuming, I'd be writing every day for you guys. Your reading experience is my priority and this is only a 3-month trial. I really hope you guys can bear with them because this is an opportunity that doesn't come easy for any writer, and I'm so thankful for all of you who have given me the chance to be a part of this.
