With that your team went out of spawn and covered turf fairly quickly. Retro and Hunter took the left side. Squaps and you went towards the right. The Army did the same, but one squid took the middle before anyone else. He stood there securing the position till his teammates arrived.

Squaps and you had made it to the end of the side wall of the skate park that met the middle. You paused for a bit before deciding to head around the corner,"I'm very nervous Squaps, they're going to destroy us! " Seeing as the Army had the middle completely inked, it left your team in danger and vulnerable.

Squaps gave you a face of fear, "Haha I know... " Squaps took a peek around the corner checking out what was going on. You looked at him anxiously hoping he wouldn't attract the attention of the Army just yet.

"I think it's safe, come on! " With that Squaps made a left around the corner and you were going to follow suit when-

Splat!

He was splatted in an instant. You yelped and hid in your ink behind the wall terrified of what happened to Squaps. You were now afraid to move from your spot,  but you knew you couldn't stay there for long.

They would begin to take over the entire stage in a matter of seconds.

"Nice shot Sailor-kun, we have them completely weak and at a disadvantage already. " Army gave a malicious smile practically tasting victory already.

"Thanks. " Sailor Blue-Kun smirked at Army-Kun , "Can't wait to have free food!"

"Should we advance and spawn camp them? " Forge-Chan interrupted.

Army raised his hand at her and shook his head,"Not yet... I want to savor this. " Army said darkly, his team splatted your teammates one by one. With all the Army's might your team suffered; they took your team out swiftly and effectively. Your team had no match against a noble high ranking team.

'Retro, I'm so going to kill you after this is over.. ' You told yourself just wishing this match would end.

You overheard the Army's conversation, they we're talking about some free food if they landed this victory. You whispered to yourself wondering what they were referring too.

You then realized that Retro had most likely bribed them to do this match. You were going to swim back to Retro to deliver a piece of your mind. Though you didn't take notice of someone noticing you swim away from your spot.

Splat!

"Got ya, you sneaky squid. "

You were sent back to spawn and the Skate park was nearly completely covered in orange ink. Your team was struggling against the Army. At this moment the Army had moved to your base spawn camping. But little did they know a certain squid had slipped by their defenses, inking the middle to charge up a certain special of his.

"Give it up! You will never win team Old Skool for we have the ultimate way of winning!" Army laughed like a madman. He opened his jacket and pulled out a manual. "Behold fellow squids the Inkling Army manual! We can counter anything you throw at us!" Army smirked.

"Retro, bribed them... " You blurted.

Squaps and Hunter looked at each other a bit dumbfounded by what you had said, "Really? " They said in unison.

"Not everything! " Squaps, Hunter and yourself looked to see Retro storming up from behind his tentacles with a misty fire indicating his special was ready to use. Team Army had turned around with no time of reaction to what was going to happen next.

None other than Retro unleashing a powerful splashdown from behind them. The whole Army had been wiped from your base. Your team cheered regardless of Retro's stupid mistake.

"Looks like the Army has been wiped out!" Marina gasped and the crowd roared in excitement.

"Let's go team!  This is our chance for the come back!" Your team quickly reclaimed lost turf and moved to the center.

Army growled, "No one interrupts me!"

Army paused realizing a mistake,"Who let him pass?!" The whole just referred to their manuals avoiding his question. Army barked, "It does not matter anymore how he got past." He raised his Nzap and pointed it straight ahead, "We are the Army, so let's show them hell!" The Army squids made haste and quickly rushed to the center before your team could make the push to victory.

Hunter went around the left side to flank but at no avail Army had beaten him to it, "Surprise! " Army gave him a crazy smile and splatted him with no effort.

"Dammit!" Hunter cursed as he was sent back to spawn.

"One down three to go. “ Army said, he then went to the center to regroup with the rest of his team. Taking initiative to splat anyone on your team who dared to get pass him.

"Hold it right there Dynamo. " Forge said holding her weapon straight at Squaps ready to shoot.

Squaps froze in place unable to escape, "Uh... " He stood there just staring at Forge-Chan.

"I never freeze! " In panick Squaps threw a bomb and swam away sending Forge to spawn.

Army barked, "Team we can't fail! We look like fools!"

Retro sneaked his way to the tower in the center and got rid of two squids, "Got ya!“ He chirped.

Army stood in front of Retro before he could move another inch, "This time I will not allow you to surprise me!"  Retro got sent back to spawn leaving you in the center to defend.

"Looks like you are left dear! “ Army walked to you with an intimating grin. You stood in place uncertain of what to do. Army aimed his weapon at your head. "Such a pity really, your team isn't as pathetic as I had thought, I will savor this victory and the food you're going to buy for us! " He chuckled, he stared into your eyes and you saw as he looked confused.

He retracted his weapon, "Wait, aren't you that squid that rudely bumped me to the ground earlier?! " He snarled inching closer to you.

You looked at him top to bottom as he stared you down, "You don't seem familiar... " You lied.

Army gasped sounding a bit offended," You dare not recognize me?!"

You chuckled nervously at the conversation unable to think of anything else to say. Army regained his composure and aimed his weapon back to your head.

"It does not matter... You're finished." You knew this was it and your team had probably lost but you suddenly had an idea.

A very stupid impulsive one.

"Watch out!" You pointed to the sky and Army turned to look. You were about to run off when you tripped yourself.

Your eyes widened as you fell forward. Army-Kun had turned back to face you and had no time to react when your lips had connected with his.

"That's game! "
