I was doing a maintenance in my ship since it has shown a few bugs lately, I checked the engine, it was fine, the overdrive engine, it's fine, it's the ship's systems.

I am the Captain of the ship for now since Lars is still trying to find out how the ship works. I was reattaching a few wiring when suddenly it short circuited and I banged my head under the ship's console.

Padparadscha: Be cautious, Captain! Do not connect the wiring for the engine yet, it will short circuit.

Y/N: Damn, that hurt. *chuckles* It's okay Padparadscha, it already happened.

Then she looked to the side snd she had a look of sadness in her face, I know that look. It's the look when someone makes when they feel useless.

Y/N: What is it, Pad? You can tell me.

Padparadscha: It's just...I just want to feel useful for once, because of my flaw, I can't help anyone. I am useless, to be exact.

Y/N: Look, Pad, if you want to help people, you don't need to use future vision to help them.

Padpardscha: But my role is supposed to be a Sapphire, they use future vision to help.

Y/N: Sometimes you don't need to stick to your role to help others, I did that once and I don't care if I broke my role, my goal is to help those in need of assistance. Your imperfections are the ones that make you perfect, remember that. With your imperfections you can do anything, and can go anywhere.

Then I gave her a pat on the head and she blushed in response and she gave me a hug.

Y/N: Go take a break for now, all of you. I still need to fix some things.

Padparadscha: Yes, Captain. Everyone! Captain ordered us to take a break for now!

Y/N: Not exactly an order, but ok.

Rutile Twins: Are you sure Captain? We can be of assistance!

Y/N: No need, I can manage.

Rhodonite: What do you mean by break-ARE YOU GOING TO SHATTER US?!?!

Y/N: No! I meant, like take a rest.

Rhodonite: Oh.....splendid!

Then they all went near each other and they started chatting, while I went back to fixing the ship's system.

Five minutes later

I am taking a quick break from the non-stop short circuit of the ship's system. I pulled out a bottle of water from my gem and drank the whole thing in four gulps, I left some water in the bottle and I poured it on myself.

I shook my head to remove the water and I sat on the Captain's chair. Turns out I don't even need to fix it anymore since it already has a self repairing system. The moment I discovered it I facepalmed so hard.

Then I heared Rhodonite talking to Padparadscha

Rhodonite: Hey P, I forgot the captain's name. Could you remind me?

Y/N: I know where this is going...

Rhodonite: Oh but first, do you have a crush? Who is it?

Y/N: Called it

Padparadscha: Of course! Capt. Painite!

Y/N: *laughs in hidden*

Then Padparadscha blushed and looked to my direction and I immediately looked the other way, then I noticed that Rhodonite was laughing while being chased around the ship by a completey flushed Padparadscha.

Then Scouting Drones were picked up in the ship's radar and the ship's alarm went off. I checked the total drones and it was a whole platoon of them. A dozen to be exact.

Y/N: All of you in your stations now! Rutile! Charge the overdrive in case that there's too many of them.

Rutile Twins: Yes, Captain.

Y/N: Padparadscha! Prepare the flare and countermeasures! Lars! Get your hands on the main gun console and shoot anything that comes in our way!

Lars: Right!

Y/N: Rhodonite! Man the Vulcan cannon!

Rhodonite: What?! Why me?!

Y/N: Because I have to pilot the damn ship! Now get to the controls! Fluorite hang on tight.

I sat on the Pilot seat set the thrusters to full, I turned the ship towards some of the Drones and I locked four Drones on sight. I pressed the button and it sent four Hellfire missles.

Then smoke was made at the moment it blew up and I steered the ship to the right side and we were being chased by three Drones, they shot missles at us and Padparadscha deployed the flares and it caught all the incoming missles.

Then I flipped the ship upwards and it was flying behind the three Drones. I set lock on the three Drones and I pressed the buttons and sent three Hellfire missiles to the three Drones destroying it.

Then we were taking heavy damage from barrage of attacks coming from the Drone's cannon. All five of them are after us.

Y/N: WHAT THE HELL IS RHODONITE DOING?!?!

Rutile Twins: We don't know sir! She must have broken the controls!

Y/N: LARS!!! TAKE OVER!!!

Then I stood up and Lars started piloting the ship and I went to Rhodonite to see that she was sitting in the corner holding her head as explosions are made.

Y/N: Rhodonite! What are you doing?!

Rhodonite: I-I can't touch that! I'll just mess it up and get us caught!

Y/N: Use the guns or we will get caught!

Rhodonite: No!

Y/N: Rhodonite I know you're afraid and it's okay! You're afraid that you will fail and get us caught! But you have to at least fight, all of you have been fearing the Drones that were sent after you back in Homeworld! These are the same Drones but the difference is that you can finally fight back! No longer that you will be threatened! This time you won't be hiding in the dark!This time you will fight back! WHAT ARE YOU?!?!

Rhodonite: A defective?

Y/M: AND?!

Rhodonite: A fusion?

Y/N: And a fighter and the most important of all, you are a survivor! An Off Color! You have survived long enough to reach this point and you can still go on! No longer will you cower in fear! We will fight!

Then I offered my hand to her and she grabbed it and she looked at me filled with fiery passion burning in her eyes, and she set herself in front of the Vulcan Cannon's console and pressed the buttons making the cannon spit hundreds of Heated Plasma destroying three Drones.

I ran back to the main room and we already entered an asteroid belt. I told Lars to move over and he webt back to the main gun console, the Vulcan Cannon overheated at a bad time.

Flares ran out and the main gun is out of range. I saw a big chunk of asteroid and flew towards it. Lars saw this and was freaking out.

Lars: Y/N WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?! WE'RE GOING TO HIT THAT ROCK!!!

Y/N: Trust me on this one! These two remaining shit heads are tough ones!

I kept flying towards the asteroid with full thrusters and we were in collision course. I activated the counter measures and the two remaining Drones fired a barrage of Heated Plasma at us following with four homing missles at us, the missle drew nearer and it was about to blow up when I pressed the Smokescreen leaving the homing missles blinded and I immediately pull up and went right behind the giant asteroid.

Then the missles collided with the asteroid destroying it and leaving it in pieces and the two Drones went through, and the weapons in them are on cooldown. I aimed at the two Drones and I locked them on sight. I pressed the button sending two Inquisition Missiles at the two remaining drones.

Y/N: Mahalo, Bitch!

And in that very moment the two Drones blew up and we flew away from the asteroid belt. All of the Off Colors cheered and and rejoiced. I went to overdrive and flew to near Saturn. Then I realized how did the Drones manage to find us? We were already far out of Homeworld's radar?

Then I walked to the ship's door and activated the airlock behind me. I opened the main door and I was immediately sucked out of the ship, I summones my wings and scannes the entire ship. I looked from top to bottom, side to side and front to back, and at the back I saw a tracking device was attached to the ship.

I can't get it off, I don't have the equipment to remove it and it might damage the ship's hull. I flew back to the ship and closed the main door and disengaged the airlock. I went back inside and was greeted by the Off Colors.

Rutile Twins: What is it, Captain?

Y/N: I knew hoe the Drones caught up to us.

Rhodonite: How?

Y/N: The ship is spiked. Someone put a tracking device on my ship and the Drones followed us here. I can't get it off, I don't have the equipment. We will have to split.

Lars: How will we get back?

Y/NF The ship you stole is still here, you can use that. I won't risk all of you being in my ship. Keep my ship's homing device though, you can press that and it will transmit a signal to my other homing device and I'll enter the ship and I can either repair your ship or I can resupply. Now go! They might come back!

Then they immediately went to the Merging Area but Padparadscha. I offered my hand to her and she took it and we both walked together through my ship's halls.

Padpapadscha: Are you really going to use another ship, Captain?

Y/N: *sigh* As much as I want to get you to Earth as soon as possible, I can't risk any of you anymore. I need to get rid of the tracking device as soon as possible.

Padparadscha then gave me a hug and I hugged back.

Padparadscha: Thank you, Painite! You have a potential of being a great leader!

Y/N:  Thank you. Now come. More Drones will arrive.

As I was about to stand up she grabbed my shoulders and slammed her lips against mine, I went wide eyed but immediately melted into the kiss.

I held the back of her head and she was gripping my shoulders tightly. I broke the kiss and I gave her one last hug.

Padparadscha: *blushes* I predict that you will like the kiss.

Y/N: *chuckles* I already did.

Istood up and guided Padparadscha to the Merging Area and she went inside the ship. I closed the doors and ran back to the main controls and I pressed the Detachment Process aand it was successful. I then radio'ed the ship.

Y/N: How you holdin' up, Lars?

Lars: Doing fine, who'll be the captain though.

Y/N: You are.

Lars: What?

Y/N: Don't give me that answer, you have the potential to be a captain, you just have to find it in there. I have to go. Good luck out here and stay safe. Painite, out!

Then I turned off communication to the ship and went to overdrive and immediately blasted through space. Minutes later I arrived at Earth and I immediately set the coordinates to Beach City and I landed the ship in front of the beach.

I opened the doors and ran to the Beach House with one thing in mind, getting rid of that stupid tracking device.

Ok so remember when i said that I'll do a sketch of how I wanted Painite to look like? Well here it is.

Remember this is only my opinion, you can still stick with the look you wanted for Painite. I am only sharing this to you. Now without any further adeu.
