I am still wandering through the zoo until I found the hangar. I took a look around and saw a Ruby Ship. I smiled knowing that's how the gang got here. I left and headed straight for the zoo's engine to check wether it needs maintenance. When I arrived at the engine room, the alarm was on and Peridot's were running around. I saw one Peridot at the corner crying. Then I saw Holly and another Peridot arguing with each other. Must be the manager

Holly: How can you not do your jobs right? This is the 3rd time this week.

Manager: We don't know what, and why this keeps happening. So let us do our job.

I cleared my throat and they both looked at me. They both did the Diamond Salute even though I'm not a Diamond.

Y/N: What's the problem?

Holly: My Pai- I mean Painite, these Peridots are-

Y/N: I'm not asking you Holly. I was asking the manager.

Manager: Well, the engine room keeps malfunctioning and we keep giving it a few virus cleanup for the last few days. But it keeps coming back. We have to check it manually.

Holly: Well if you did your jobs properly we wouldn't have to do thi-

Y/N: HOLLY SHUT IT!!! I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU!!! NOW GET BACK TO WHERE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE!!! (*sigh*) I'll handle this.

Holly then walked out clearly  feeling dissapointed of what she did.

Y/N: Ok who knows the full layout of of the engine room?

Manager: Well we don't actually memorize the layout. But one of us still did.

Y/N: Who?

Manager: Her.

She then gestured to Peridot crying in the corner. I sighed and slowly walked towards her. She looked at me with fear. I knelt down and talked to her.

Y/N: Hi there, do you know who I am?

???: Y-you're P-P-Painite. The o-one who s-survived the Shatter Dome.

Y/N: I need you to guide me through the engine room. I don't know the layout and you are the only one who memorized it. You in?

???: S-sure.

I stood up and offered my hand to her. She was hesitant at first but took it eventually. For some reason something is troubling her. We both entered the engine room and went inside. There was a lot of pipes wirings and energy sources. Must be the secondary and backup engine. I looked at her and she kept looking down like she did a sin.

We eventually reached the main engine room and we entered. It was dark. As we were walking we heard something run past behind us. We kept going and there it goes again. Eventually I found a switch and turned it on. We looked at the main engine and it was.......covered in a dark substance. Then I looked to see the Peridot I'm with is very scared. Then a loud thud was heard behind us. We both turned around and we saw.........a Class 3 Typhon.

Author: I ain't talking about Prey.

I dragged her behind me and I summoned my gauntlet. The Typhon rushed to us and we immediately moved out of the way. Then I punched it in the stomach but didn't flinch. I kept dodging it's attempt to hit me and at the same time I kept hitting it. Eventually it landed a hit on me. The next thing I knew is that I was on the ground and about to be hit by the Typhon. Suddenly a ball of energy made contact with the Typhon. I saw that the Peridot I'm with shot that. Then I saw the chance. I shifted to my blades and went for the head decapitating it. I breathed heavily and stood up. I checked up on her.

Y/N: You ok?

???: Y-yes. Thank you.

I then looked at the main engine still covered with the dark substance. I walked slowly towards it and I used my War Smith to materialize a flamethrower. She looked at me confused. I then made a few test fire with it and she looked at me suprised. I then aimed it at the engine and pressed the trigger. I made it hot enough to get rid of the substance. But not too hot for the engine to overheat. Then I stopped and the engine is up and running again. I then walked to the Peridot I'm with.

Y/N: Ok. Tell me what happened.

???: W-what?

Y/N: I know something happened here. A Class 3 Typhon got in. There is no way it could have sneaked it.

???:............I-it's my fault. I forgot to shut the docking area last month. The Typhon got in and went to the engine room. (*sob*) I can't do anything about. I was scared that if I tried to stop it I might get shattered. And if I told them they will shatter me (*sob*) I'm such an idiot. But now that you know, you're going to shatter me.

I slowly walked over to her and she was shaking. She closed her eyes because of the fear of what I might do. She suddenly opened her eyes when she felt two arms wrap around her. I gave her a hug to comfort her.

???: Why are you not going to shatter me?

Y/N: Because you don't deserve to be shattered.

???: Why? (*sob*) It's because of me that the Typhon got in and almost got you killed.

Y/N: Look...I know you made a mistake. But...making mistakes are natural. You didn't mean for it to happen. We all make mistakes...even I do. That's why I forgive those who made mistakes. Because I know that they didn't want it to happen. No matter how mighty you are we all make mistakes. The master has made more mistakes than the novice has tried. That's why...I forgive you.

???: (*sniff*) Y-you do?

Y/N: Yes

She looked at me and tears started forming again she buried her face on my chest as she cried. I then rubbed her back and told her to let it all out. Then we both looked at each other getting lost in our own eyes.

Y/N: I think I am going to call you....Taylor.

Taylor: You gave me a name....why?

Y/N: Because you are unique, and I already know a Peridot.

She then took me by suprise. She kissed me. My eyes widened and eventually melted into the kiss. We took a few gasps for air.

Taylor: S-sorry. It's just no one gave me a name before.

Y/N: Hehe, I am glad you like it.

We both walked out and she was hugging my right arm and she was resting her head on my shoulder. We both got back and we got a few stares.

Manager: So, what happened in there?

Y/N: Well a Typhon somehow got in and made a mess with the main engine. But we both got rid of it.

Taylor: It was no big.

Manager: Well thank you for your help, My Painite.

Y/N: Please just call me by my name.

Manager: As you wish.

I then walked out and headed for the main hall. Leaving Taylor and the Manager.

Manager: So, what happened between the two of you?

Taylor: (*blushes*).......I kissed him.

Other Peridots then ooooo'ed and teased her making her blush even deeper. The manager just smiled.

I kept walking and I went across the crew quarters I then heard laughter in there. I went inside and saw Greg and Steven wearing wierd clothing.

Amethyst Guard 1: You're right Amethyst. It was priceless.

Amethyst Guard 2: You should have seen their faces.

Amethyst the ran to them giving the a hug.

Amethyst: I'm sorry I had to.

Y/N: (*clears throat*) Looks like everyone is having fun.

Then all of them turned their heads to me and they all saluted except for Amethyst, Greg and Steven making them confused.

Y/N: At ease. How are you guys?

Amethyst: We're fine. But why are they loyal to you? I thought you switched sides?

Y/N: I did. But I proved myself in the Shatter Dome.

Suddenly Holly came in.

Holly: WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING HERE?!?! GET BACK TO YOUR POSTS IMMEDIATLEY!!!
EVEN YOU, YOU WORTHLESS DEFECTIVES!!!

She grabbed  Skinny Jasper on the leg and pulled her down. I ran and caught her before making contact with the floor.

Y/N: Hey, you ok?

Skinny Jasper: Y-yeah, thanks.

I then set her down and I looked at Holly with an infuriated face.

Y/N:  WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU HOLLY?!?!

Holly: Painite, I was only-

Y/N: NO!!! YOU ARE NOT TRYING TO TEACH THEM A LESSON. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE A LEADER DAMNIT. A LEADER IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE THEIR MEMBERS HAPPY AND CONTENTED. THEY LEAD, THEY HEAR WHAT THE MEMBER HAS TO SAY, THEY HELP THEM GROW.

Holly: But I-

Y/N: NO!!! YOU DON'T SHOUT AT THEM TO DO THEIR JOBS PROPERLY. YOU DON'T KICK THEM IN THE KNEE FOR MAKING A SIMPLE MISTAKE. YOU DON'T HIT THEM WITH A ELECTRIC WHIP. YOU DON'T DRAG THEM OFF THEIR BED. THEY ARE JUST LIKE STUDENTS AND YOU ARE THE TEACHER. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE SAME STANDARDS AS YOU. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME LEVEL AS YOU. A TEACHER IS SUPPOSED TO HELP THEIR STUDENTS GROW.

Holly: I.......I........-

Y/N: Holly, you are supposed to lead. Not be a bully. Just please, I order you. Be a leader that helps, that listens, that actually lead.

Holly then was on the verge of tears knowing that what I was saying was right. She ran out and headed to God Knows Where. Then I turned around and saw that the Amethysts are on the verge of tears too.

Y/N: Ok? Why are you all going to cry?

Amethyst Guard 1: No one ever stood up to us before.

Amethyst Guard 2: Especially to Holly Blue.

Skinny Jasper: We thank you.

She then hugged me and few moments later all of us were in a group hug. A very tight one.

Y/N: Ok (*gasp*) getting (*gasp*) painful.

Then they all let go and I noticed that Skinny was blushing crazy.

Y/N: Ok, now please report to your posts immediatley.

Then they all saluted and headed to their designated area. We then reached the hangar and we saw that Holly was escorting them back to the ship. Then Greg Amethyst and Steven snuck behind Holly. But alas, she still caught them. She pulled out her whip but before she could hit anyone with it. I ran towards her and caught it. Then Ruby and Sapphire fused back to Garnet and hit Holly in the stomach.

Holly: You won't get away with this. You will all be shattered.

Pearl: I don't think you should tell the Diamonds that two humans and four rebels got away from your watchful eye. That is not a good thing to do Holly Blue.
Y/N: I think I'm gonna stay?

Steven: What? Why?

Y/N: To make sure Homeworld doesn't shit itself to catastrophe.

Pearl: Language.

Y/N: Sorry. But I'll come back. I promise.

Then all of them went back to Earth and I untied Holly.

Y/N: Don't worry Holly, I'm not going to tell the Diamonds.

Holly: Thank you.

Y/N: Now come, we have things to do.

We then went back inside. A day has passed and The Diamonds took me back to Homeworld.
