Before I begin this I just want to say I got this story idea from another fan fiction writer, The Blood Eagle by Vondrakenhof

I honestly found that store to be very interesting and I decided to make my own version of it, I will admit though I still think Vondrakenhof the blood eagle fanfiction is better than my version.

Now I cannot deny this is probably going to be my darkest fanfiction because it's going to be a short as well it's an execution fanfiction.

Going to be a few short chapters and then that's it but I do hope you all enjoy this.

Now this story will contain the main character's death.

Beginning

In the year 2022

At the Fisher

Deep within the fisher

A dragon that was under the rubble of rocks that collapse over him.

he tried to escape but couldn't as his tailfin was caught under one of the rocks preventing him to use his lighting power to escape.

As he remain there waiting to die he could remember his past life, where he was seen as a traitor and was put to death by his own father's hands.

1300 years ago

The island of Bark

At the killer ring

Hiccup was entering the killer ring as it was time to show all the Vikings that they didn't need to kill dragons anymore.

Hiccup was sure of himself as if he was able to make everyone here see that they can be tamed and trained dragons they could all learn to work together.

To bring a new era for Bark as it would be something truly amazing, he could just feel it in his gut.

the monstrous nightmare had come out and approached hiccup slowly.

Hiccup drop his weapon and took off his helmet trying to calm down the monstrous nightmare, "it's okay I'm not one of them."

Everyone in the ring look confused especially Stoick as he started to get angry.

"We don't have to kill them," hiccup said to everyone but of course something had gone wrong by stoick Hammer hitting the bar.

"STOP THE FIGHT!" stoick yelled.

That completely ruined hiccup plan as the monstrous nightmare got scared and knocked down hiccup onto the ground and everything suddenly went wrong because in no time...

BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

Hiccup couldn't believe it, when he saw toothless bursting into the ring and started fighting the monstrous nightmare.

Every Viking was in shock and outrage at the fact they have never seen a Night fury before.

That dragon causes every Viking to burst into the killer ring and try to tackle it including the chief himself.

Toothless and the monster Nightmare we're now fighting all of the Vikings as both did prove to be a tough match.

Eventually, though the monster nightmare was held down by a multitude of Vikings.

Toothless and stoick were fighting and toothless threw him at the wall and was about to finish him off but hiccup told him to stop in time.

Toothless turnaround and look at hiccup right before a bunch of Vikings tackles onto toothless.

Hiccup knew this wasn't good as his friend get killed, he quickly grabbed the ax he drop on to the ground.

"Leave him alone!" The Vikings got away from toothless as hiccup jumped on top and try to fly away, he pushed down on the stirrup and opened Toothless's tail but it didn't work.

The tailfin was broken, one of the Vikings must have actually ripped it when they got toothless on the ground.

Every Viking was surprised by what just happened especially Stoick who got mad seeing his son on a dragon.

"Hiccup what are you doing?!" Stoick demanded to know.

"I'm not going to let you hurt toothless, he is my best friend and I can't let you take him away from me," hiccup said as he was holding on to toothless tight.

"What do you mean friend? It's a dragon?!" Stoick demanded to know as all the other Vikings were disgusted except for Astrid who kept her mouth shut.

"Remember on that night I said I shot down at Night fury and I told you and you didn't believe me, well do you believe me now?" Hiccup asks as every Viking remember that night and didn't believe him but now what they were seeing they don't understand was going on now.

"I went in the woods and found him, I was going to kill him to prove you all wrong about me being the useless runt of the litter, but I couldn't bring myself to it, so I let him go free and he let me live, he couldn't fly so I made him a new tailfin and he allowed me to ride on him into the sky, my friend toothless had taught me so much about dragons that I never knew before and he was amazing," hiccup explains as everyone was in shock but stoick was enraged.

"So everything in the ring was a trick? A lie? We had a deal hiccup!" Stoick said as hiccup kept holding on to toothless.

"No you had a deal, you wanted me to say deal to the fact that you wanted, I told you on that day I couldn't kill dragons because I realize I couldn't when I free toothless, and you know why I didn't because I thought I could at first but when I look into his eyes all I saw was myself, scared, defenseless, I couldn't bring myself to kill him, so I set him free," hiccup explains.

"I have come to realize that dragons are not as dangerous as you all think, we can train and befriend them..." Hiccup got cut off by stoick.

"WHAT! We Vikings have been at war with these beasts for over 300 years, we're not just going to stop and be friends with them just because you say so!" Stoick said as all agreed.

"But Dad this war could come to an end, I know dragons have done some unforgivable things but it doesn't have to be like this forever, we can find a way to end the war!" Hiccup told him but no one agreed.

"Have done some unforgivable things? THEY HAVE KILLED HUNDREDS OF US! And one of those was your mother!" Stoick yelled.

"AND WE KILL THOUSANDS OF THEM, dragons don't always go for the kill, they can be merciful I know that for a fact, please I'm asking for a chance to show you all that it is possible!" Hiccup ask them all but nobody wanted this not even Astrid as she was too scared to say anything.

Stoick couldn't have been more disappointed and angry at hiccup, "Hiccup! You actually believe it's possible after what just happened the people you almost got killed!"

"Toothless was only trying to protect me, if you didn't slam your Hammer I would have been able to calm the monster nightmare and tame it as I did with all the other dragons in the ring," hiccup explain as stoick had enough.

"Hiccup haddock the third," Stoick's voice was full of anger as he try to keep a low voice.

Everyone could hear him as he said those words, "You must choose it's your tribe and kill this dragon or the dragons your friends with."

"Are you forcing me to choose?" Hiccup ask as couldn't believe it, his own father really forcing him to choose over his friends or the tribe that never accepted him.

"Yes, I am!" Stoick said as he was furious.

"I can't kill toothless, I can never do such a thing, I'm sorry I couldn't convince you but I still can't let you take toothless from me," hiccup said as everyone gasped and could not believe it.

Stoick couldn't believe it, his heart felt like it broke into two knowing his son had betrayed him, he look at him and said, "You've thrown your lot in with them, You're not a Viking, You're not my son," Stoick told him as it broke hiccup heart and tears almost come down his eyes.

Stoick men all work together to tackle toothless and stoick grab hiccup and threw him onto the ground, take the dragon away and put him with the others."

"No please I'm begging if you just..." Hiccup got cut off by stoick hard slap.

"You don't even deserve to call runt of the litter if you're not part of our letter, You're a traitor and a BLASPHEMER!" Stoick shouted as his men hold on to hiccup by his arms as hiccup try to run to toothless, "Lock him up too!"

The Vikings grab hiccup and took him away from Stoick, "no please I beg of you, don't hurt toothless!"

Stoick didn't look at him as he was taken away.

They took him to the darkest dungeon they had and toss him into the worst cell and slam the door shut.

This is where traitors belong.

Hiccup now was alone and start crying on the floor.

He couldn't believe it had honestly ended up this way for him as the worst was yet to come.
