Chapter 5: Legal Stuff And A VERY Pissed Off Poseidon
(A/N I don't know how any of this legal stuff actually works, and I'm too lazy to look it up. So please, just bear with me. I will try.)
---Time Skip---
Annabeth's P.O.V.
I guided Percy into the courtroom and led him over to where Poseidon was sitting. "Hello, Lord Poseidon." I said as I helped Percy slide off his coat and sit down. Poseidon smiled at me and his son.
"What have I told you about calling me 'Lord anything? Just call me Poseidon." The king of the seas told me, reaching out and taking my hand.
"Hey, dad!" Percy said, reaching out a hand to brush against mine. I caught his hand and held it tightly in my own.
"Hello, my son. Are you ready for today?"
"Yeah, I guess. I mean, I have to be. And I am a little excited. If this goes the right way, I never have to live with Gabe again." Percy sighed then smiled and squeezed my hand.
After spending the weekend in the infirmary recovering, Percy went back to Gabe on Monday and got lots of new healing scars and bruises to show for it. Today is Friday. On Tuesday, Poseidon had gone to the police and filed a report of child abuse and a claim of custody rights over Percy. Now, we are at court to see of Poseidon can get Gabe in jail and claim custody of Percy.
All of us were there. Hazel, Frank, Piper, Leo, Thalia, Nico, Will, Reyna, Rachel, we had even dragged Jason along. Amphitrite and Triton had showed up. So had Tyson and Ella. Mrs. O'Leary was watching through a window. Grover came with a promise to tell Juniper everything that happened.
I sat down in my seat next to Percy and looked at everyone. Triton sat to the left of Amphitrite who sat to the left of Poseidon. Percy sat next to his father, and I sat next to him. I looked back at the doors and saw Chiron wheel himself in. He stopped next to me and gave me a reassuring look. I have him a thankful smile and turned back to the doors as they opened again.
This time, Gabe walked in. He was dressed in a suit and tie and had a very smart and powerful looking lawyer trailing after him. As he passed us, he sneered at Percy, "Watch out, punk. When we get home, you're gonna be in so much trouble. So are all your little friends and your daddy. They're all gonna get it and it's all gonna be your fault." He sat down in his spot and grinned smugly.
Percy was shaking in fear, his face pale and his skin clammy. "Hey, its gonna be alright, Seaweed Brain. He's not gonna hurt you anymore. We're all safe. Besides, if he does come at any one of us, we'll just beat the shit out of him, okay? It's all gonna be fine." He nodded but his eyes were still wide and fearful. I wrapped my arms around him protectivley. I held him as he shuddered. A few tears escaped his eyes and I gently wiped them away with my thumb.
Percy snuggled into my arms and wrapped his around me as well. He buried his face on my shoulder for a moment before pulling it back out. "Thanks, Wise Girl." He whispered. I kissed him softly on the lips and he kissed back.
"You're welcome, Seaweed Brain. I love you." I whispered back.
"I love you too, Annabeth." Then, the Judge called the court to order and we pulled apart, though I kept a comforting grip on his hand.
"We are hear today on the case of Gabe Ugliano ubusin his stepson, Perseus Jackson. This claim was filed by Perseus's biological father, Poseidon Olympian. In a car accident, Perseus was blinded and his mother died. He was left to the sole custody of his stepfather. Poseidon Olympian has also filed a claim to have sole custody of Perseus. Because he is blind, Perseus's girlfriend, Annabeth Chase, will be leading him around the courtroom." The Judge said. She looked up from her paper. "Mr. Downey, would you please call forward your first witness?" Poseidon's lawyer stood up and nodded.
"My client, Mr. Olympian, only recently found out he had a son. About five years ago. Since then, he has visited his son a few times at a summer camp that he attends. And only this Saturday did he find out that his son was being abused. I call my first witness, Mr. Poseidon Olympian." Mr. Downey nodded to Poseidon. Poseidon stood up and walked over to the witness's box. "My first question: How did you find out that your son was being abused?"
"I had come to visit my son at the camp, and walked in on him telling his friends and showing them his scars. Gabe had beat him as he was going to leave and he almost didn't make it to Camp for the weekend. When he didn't show up and appeared to be running late, his friends got worried. So Annabeth, his girlfriend, left to go get him and see what was holding him up and make sure nothing had happened. She found him beat up and immediatly took him away to the camp they both attend. I heard her telling everyone this after she had called all their friends around. Everyone wanted to know what happened to him and who did it. So he told them. When he pulled off his shirt, we could all plainly see the scars covering his chest, stomach, back, and arms. He told them about what Gabe has said to him and what he calls him. And by then, is had enough. So I walked in, said I was fileing for custody rights, and walked out again." Poseidon stated calmly enough. He just got a little lesscalm toward the end, his hands twitching violently when he talked about Percy's scars.
"I believe that is all, Judge." Mr. Downey said.
"Mr. Lawrence, come forward please." The Judge called Gabe's lawyer over.
"First question: How do you know that your son in not making this all up? How do you know that this is not just an elaborate scheme of some sort?" He asked, walking over to stand in front of Percy's father.
"My son is not a liar. Besides, what would he have to gain from lieing about this and getting his stepfather pit in jail? My son is not a cruel person. He wouldn't put and innocent person at risk like this. You may ask my son yourself. The scars are real." Poseidon insisted.
"Very well, I will. Permission to call up another witness, Your Honor?" Mr. Lawrence said.
"Permission granted." The Judge motioned Poseidon back to his seat.
"Perseus Jackson! Would you please come forward?" Mr. Lawrence stated, smirking. Percy took a deep breath and stood up. I stood up with him. I led him out of our seats and over to and into the witness's box. "Show us the scars, Perseus." The lawyer grinned evilly. I squeezed Percy's hand reassuringly before pulling away and helping him take off his shirt and hoodie. I noticed how he winced as he lofted his arms and stretched the skin and scar tissue on his front and back. Once the hoodie and shirt were off, everyone gasped. Mr. Lawrence looked taken aback for a moment before he regained himsf and, clearing his throat, asked another question. "How are we to know that those are real and not just body paint or somehow faked?" The courtroom was dead silent, you could have heard a pin drop from the other side.
"Touch them. Feel that they are real, Mr. Lawrence. I do not lie that Gabe has abused me and I do not fake these scars or the stories that cone with each one. I do not fake the pain and self-loathing he has caused me, sir. Come forward and see for yourself." Percy's voice rang loud and clear through the silence. He stared blindly toward where he thought Mr. Lawrence stood. Hesitantly, the lawyer crept closer. He reached out and placed a hand on Percy's chest. He traced the scars and felt them where they rose from my boyfriend's skin. He started to pull his hand away when Percy stopped him. His own hsnd flashing out and grabbing Mr. Lawrence's wrist. "Don't you want to make sure that they are all real?" He asked, turning around. Again, the courtroom was filled with gasps as people saw the scars littering my Seaweed Brain's back.
Again, the lawyer reached out and traced each scar, finding not a single part of Percy's back unmarked by a true scar. None of it fake or done with makeup. His hand lingered on each of the words that had been carved I to Percy's skin.
"That is... That is all, Your Honor." Mr. Lawrence said, his voice shaking, his face pale, and his eyes wide in horror. Ha. Serves you right. I thought. You licked the wrong side of this case, asshole. The Judge nodded, and he walked back to his spot slowly, his walk unsteady.
"Mr. Downey, you may ask your questions." The Judge called forward Poseidon's lawyer. He walked over slowly.
"Percy, we have seen that Gabe physically abused you, but did he mentally abuse you as well?" Mr. Downey asked, tilting his head to one side. Percy nodded. "Can you tell us what he did?" Percy nodded again and took a deep breath.
"He said I was stupid. He said I didn't deserve friends, that no one could ever love me. He said I was a waste of space, that I was pathetic and useless and worthless and powerless, and a delinquent punk who deserves to die. He said I was about as smart as a rock and about as meaningful and needed as a piece of shit. I believed him. I grew up believing that. I was bullied at school and called a freak there and at home. I moved from school to school every grade. I though that it was because I was a freak. Everything seemed to go wrong when I was around. I hated myself. I hated Gabe. And I hated my life." He paused. "I was five and depressed. I was seven when I tried to commit suicide the first time." Everyone who hadn't heard this before stared at him in horror. But Percy continued. "I cut but haven't done it in about two years. When I was seven was the first time I tried to commit suicide. I thought about it again when I was eight. Considered it when I was nine. Tried again when I was ten, and again when I was eleven. Then I met my friends and my life got busy and a little bit better. Haven't really thought about it since."
Everyone stared at my boyfriend in shocked silence. I held back a snort. If only they knew the whole story. Then they would probably worship the ground he walks on, maybe me as well.
"They're all staring, aren't they?" Percy leaned down and whispered to me. He was shaking and sweating and I could tell he was nervous for all the brave act he put up when talking about what happened. I squeezed his hand, staring into his sightless eyes, the eyes that were looking just a little down and too the left of me. The eyes that I loved.
"Yes, Percy. They are staring. But let them stare. Let them take in the full horror of what Gabe has done to you, let them see it, let them believe it, and let them fear you for it." I pulled my hand from his grip and wrapped my arms around him instead. He hugged me back. But there was something he wasn't telling me. I pulled back and looked him in the eye. For all the good that did me, I mean, it's not like he could see what I was doing. "What is it, Seaweed Brain?" I asked him quietly.
"I don't want them to fear me."
-----------------
The rest of the court day went by rather fast. They called me up, and I told them about how I found out that Percy was being abused. I told them how Sally had told me that Gabe almost killed Percy once when he went to the police and how they made me promise to never tell and how they trusted me to never tell. They called up all of our friends. Who told the mortal-version of how they each met him. Hazel, Jason, Leo, Piper, and Frank told them about how Percy and Jason had been kidnapped by their crazy aunt and had gotten amnesia and how Frank and Hazel and Leo and Piper had found each kidnapped teen and become friends whule they were recovering from their kidnapping and regaining their memories. Grover told them about how he had met Percy at Yancy and they had ended up going to summer camp together and how how he had noticed that sometimes, there seemed to be something off with Percy. He had never mentioned it to anyone because, well, it's Percy and everyone at the camp loves him and we're all like family and they had all so desperately hoped that nothing was wrong with their big brother. Clarrise barged in halfway through and said 'Sorry I'm late.' Chiron told then about the summer camp and everything about how it's for troubled, or special teens and how each child there feels like his own son or daughter and how he hates that one of his students had to go through this and how he would like to help all he can and also told then everything he knew. Thalia told told them how he had saved her life from a falling tree, from drowning, and a few other occasions and how they were cousins on his father's side and how they were close and how she knew Percy and about her relationship with him and then, this part is funny, she turned toward Gabe and gave them a few chose words of what he was and what they should do to him for hurting her cousin. Nico did about the same. Telling them how Percy had found him and his sister and how he had helped him after his sister died and how they were cousins and what Percy was like, and then cussed Gabe out with extremely foul language to the point where the whole courtroom was clutching their stomachs and trying to breath through their laughter and the security guess had to drag him out for a few moments to let him cool down.
Everyone talked about what Percy was like. Told the judge and the jury and the people gathered about how kind Percy was , how protective Percy was, how strong he was and how loyal and compassionate and understanding and open hearted he was. They all told everyone that they loved him, like a big brother, like a little brother, like a son, as a son, how they would all love to see Gabe in jail for the rest of his life for what he did to their best friend. To their brother, to their son, to my boyfriend. Even Clarrise told everyone that she loved him like a brother. And then she proceeded to swear at Gabe worse than Nico did and when she tried to jump on him and attack him, it took all five of the security guards, plus five more that they called in as back up, ten minutes, and six unconscious security guards to subdue her and drag her out the door still swearing at him like Arion. (Percy told me that that horse can cuss up a storm in just a few sentences. I believe him. With all the times that he has threatened to was out Arion's mouth with saddle soup... And the looks on his face after listening to that horse are more than enough to convince me.)
Now though, day one is over and we're going to have to come back tomorrow. As I led Percy out of the courtroom, the Judge called us and told us to came back.
"Ms. Chase! Mr. Jackson! I'd like to have a word with you before you go, please." She stood up and walked down from her place to stand in a quiet, hidden corner where no one would see us or overhear us.
I turned Percy around and led him over to where she stood. "Yes, Your Honor?" I said once we reached her. She was about my height, about a fraction of an inch shorter maybe. She had long, black hair and eyes that seemed to shift between every color of the rainbow. She waved her had st me and scoffed.
"Now, stop that at once, Ms. Chase. If anything, I should be the one calling you and Mr. Jackson 'Your Honor' or better yet, 'Your Grace and 'My Lord and My Lady.' I'm a daughter of Iris. A demigod like you two. But after everything you two have done, you're more like a king and queen or a legend to most demigods who don't know you personally. But I only knkw bits and pieces of what's happened lately. So, if you would, please catch me up on your doings and tell me the truth about how everyone knows each other. Then events you modified for mortal ears, strip them down to the truth of you would." It took us each a moment to get overthe shock that she was a demigod, and then we started telling out story. Everything from when Percy went missing, right up to before we entered the courtroom. Then we took the other stories that weren't told and told her the truth of them. Once we were done, she simply nodded and seemed lost in thought.
"If I can, I will get Gabe thrown in jail for the rest of his life for what he has done to the savior of Olympus. I swear on the River Styx that if it can be done, it will be done." After that promise, we thanked her and left. We found Gabe standing at the wooden doors. I tried to quickly pull Percy out the door and away from his stepfather, but Gabe had other ideas.
"Not so fast, punk." He sneered, snatching Percy's arm and holding it in a vise-like grip. "You and princess here are coming home with me." Percy's eyes widened and he looked terrified. Gabe started to pull us away from the door, me coming with because I wasn't letting go of Percy.
"No!" Percy yelled, terrified. "Annabeth, run!" He wrenched his hand from my grip and shoved me away toward the doors. "Run, Annabeth! Run!" I was startled to say the least. I had never seen Percy look more terrified, never heard him sound more afraid. It scared me. I turned and bolted for the door.
"Get back here, girl!" Gabe growled behind me. But then I was outside. I ran in to Poseidon who stumbled backward and caught my arms.
"Annabeth, dear, where's Percy? What's going on?" I was scared, I barely registered who he was, hardly heard what he was saying.
"Gabe! Took him! Help him! Percy!" I cried, making no sense to even my own ears. Suddenly, what I had just done hit me. I had left Percy alone with that beast. I had left him alone! "Percy!" I screamed and turned around. I sprinted back inside the building, I heard Poseidon dashing after me. But all, that matters dead finding Percy and stopping that monster from hurting him. I ran through the halls of the justice building. (A/N That is what something like this is called, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong.) I called Percy's name and begged him to answer.
Ahead of me, I heard what sounded like a whip, or a belt whistling through the air then striking skin. I heard soft grunts and growled words to low for me to understand. I skidded to a stop and whipped my head around, Poseidon ramming onto me from behind. But I didn't care. Then I spotted it. Where the sounds came from. The boys bathroom was just ahead.
"Poseidon, go find the judge. She's a daughter is Iris, so if you just flash in, it'll be fine. Please be quick." There was no response but I saw the quick flash of light through my shut eyelids that meant he had disappeared. I snuck forward toward the bathroom. Then, I peaked my head in and had to immediatly pulled my head back to stop myself from either screaming in horror, or yelling in outrage and running in there to pound on Gabe.
The evil son of a bitch had pulled off his belt and was using it as a whip on Percy's bare back. My boyfriend's back was already torn up and bloody. I pressed my back against the wall and squeezed my eyes shut, trying to get the image out of my head.
"How many lashes was that punk? How many more do you think I'm gonna give you for this?" That was Gabe. I heard another lash of his belt strike Percy's skin. "Answer me!" Another whip of the belt.
"Sixty." Percy's voice was tight. I held back a gasp. Sixty! Gabe had hit my boyfriend sixty times with his belt! I peaked another look around the wall. I held back a cry of despair. Percy's blood covered his back, smeared the floor, and soaked Gabe's belt. Some of it had even stained his shirt.
As I watched, Gabe drew his arm back for another lash. Percy gritted his teeth and flipped onto his back, letting out a small cry of pain as the tortured flesh met the floor. He boosted himself up on his elbows and started to drag himself away, leaving a smear of blood on the floor behind him. Gabe smiled evilly.
"You're not getting away that easily, punk!" The fat man snarled. His belt whistled through the air and gabe lashed Percy again. My Seaweed Brain let out a strangled scream as the belt tore at his chest and stomach. I quickly pulled my head back. I couldn't watch anymore. I was going to barge in their and gut Gabe for this. I heard mkre slaps of belt against skin and Percy's strangled cries. I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to block out the sound. I couldn't go in there. I couldn't do anything. Poseidon needs to get back here with the Judge. I don't know how much more of this Percy can take.
I heard gabe snarl gleefully and another lash of the belt. And the next sound broke me. I put a hand over my mouth in a desperate attempt to stifle my sobs. Tears fluffed my vision. I couldn't hold it in, I let out a sob, a loud choked sob. But it didn't matter. It wouldn't be heard over the scream. Over Percy's scream. It was pained and tortured and broken. And it broke me. It tortured me to hear him scream. I shut my eyes and tried to block it out, tried to ignore it. I didn't want to hear that sound. And that sound would haunt me the rest of my life.
Then there were running footsteps. Someone calling my name. I think hands gripped my shoulders and someone was trying to talk to me. But above it all was that scream. It rang in my ears and bounced around in my head. I tried so hard to shut it out. I tried to ignore the world around me, to go back to New Rome, when I was reunited with Percy. Or better yet, back to those two months of dating we had before Hera kidnapped him and wiped his memory. Before he got in a car crash and lost his mother and his sight. Before things with Gabe got to bad. Before we fell into Tartarus and broke down there, only to come out again and have to put ourselves back together.
I wanted so desperately for this all to be a dream. I wanted so desperately to wake up in bed with Percy and have everything be fine and then tell him about this horrible dream and have him wrap me tightly in his arms and tell me it was just a dream and that it was all okay. But then my fantasizing stopped. Because the hands that I thought were on my shoulders were ripped away. A yell echoed through the hall. Percy's voice called my name and my head shot up, my eyes flying open.
And Gabe stood above me. Poseidon lay against the opposite wall, dazed. The Judge was crumpled on the floor. Gabe had Percy gripped by the hair. He was pulling my boyfriend's head back and Percy was trying to stay on his feet. Blood covered his face and ran down his neck. His forehead was ripped open and so was the side of his face.
"Annabeth!" Percy called my name again. He reached up with his good hand and tried to get Gabe to let go of him. "Annabeth, I know you're there! Get out of here! Run, Annabeth! Run!" I sobbed still. I stared brokenly at him for a moment before turning my teary gaze to Gabe.
"No, Percy. I will not run. Not this time. I will not let this monster," I stabbed a shaky finger at Gabe, "Have you! I will not run!" I stood up and flew at Gabe. He stumbled backwards and released his grip on Percy's hair. My boyfriend crumpled to the floor with a cry of pain. Not nearly as horrible as his scream, but it filled me with rage.
I yelled and punched Gabe in the gut. When he doubled over, I brought my knee up and broke his nose. Then I kicked out with my foot and hit him really hard in his private parts. He shot upright, his hands flying from his nose to his crotch. Then I swung my fist around and cracked him in the jaw. I heard it pop out of place. He snapped out of his pained daze and swung a heavy fist at me. I ducked and caught his arm. I spun and twisted it behind him, pulling it up until his shoulder popped out of its socket. He let out a pained cry and whirled to face me, his other arm up and ready to swung at me. I didn't wait for him. I sprang forward and kicked him in the face again, making him stumble back. But he quickly regained his balance and ran toward me. I didn't dodge quick enough and his fist caught me in the stomach, sending me flying backward into the wall. My head hit it with a crack and I slid to the floor, dizzy.
Gabe stalked forward and brought his fist down on my shoulder with force enough to pop it out of its socket. I bit back a cry of pain and tried to get to my feet. But my pounding head made me slide back to the floor. Gabe kicked my dislocated shoulder and I felt over onto my side, a small scream escaping me. Gabe stepped on my hand and I heard the loud crack's as my fingers snapped. I screamed and brought my hand to my chest, my dislocated shoulder making it impossible to move my other arm. I lay on the floor and watched through pain clouded vision as Gabe smirked and walked over to where he had dropped his blood-soaked belt when I had jumped on him the first time.
I watched helplessly as he stalked back over. He kicked me onto my stomach and I tried to brace myself for what was about to happen. But when the belt landed a blow on my back, I couldn't keep in a pained cry. The lash came again and again, it blurred together and all I felt was pain as the belt hit me. The belt was leather, and it was covered in little barbs that ripped at my skin with each stroke. At some point I screamed.
I felt Gabe flip me onto my back at the cold floor against my ruined flesh burned and it felt like torture. Another scream escaped me. Then the belt came again, whipping my front. I felt it tear at my stomach and my legs. I screamed again. The belt lashed at my face and I let out a tortured cry. The lash hit my face again and I felt the barbs rip apart the skin of my cheek as the leather made it burn.
My eyesight was fading and blurred. I couldn't see what happened next. But I only felt three more lashes to my face and battered stomach before I heard an outraged, murderous roar and a thump. Then there were no more whips and my world faded to black.
(A/N I thought about ending it here, but then, I figured I should maybe put in the part that gives the title the words 'And A VERY Pissed Off Poseidon'... So, here's the rest of chapter five!)
Poseidon's P.O.V.
I found the Judge and told her what Annabeth and I had heard. She told me to take her to Annabeth, so I turned, and ran. I couldn't flash her away with me, so it took us longer to get there. When we did, I saw Annabeth on the floor sobbing and heard my son's scream.
I knelt next to the daughter of Athena and placed my hands on her shoulders. "Annabeth, what happened? Annabeth, can you hear me? Annabeth!" I tried to get a response from the girl but it was no use. I yelled her name and shook her. But to no avail. Then I heard the Judge cry out and I looked up from Annabeth's face. Gabe stood with my son in his grip, his belt in his other hand and covered in Percy's blood. Percy himself was covered in his own blood, the dark red liquid smeared all over his body and still gushing out of the many wounds all over him.
As I stared, Gabe dropped him on the floor and came at me. He gripped my shoulders and threw me into the other wall. I slid to the floor, half conscious and dazed. I don't know how long I lay there, but through the daze in my head, I heard screams and cracks and thuds. When I finally managed to clear my head, I saw Gabe standing over Annabeth as she let out a scream. Blood soaked her shirt and pooled on the floor beneath her. Gabe pulled back his belt and brought it down on her again. I stood up, filled with fury. This man beat my son almost every day, he just whipped him with a leather belt, and now he was whipping Annabeth. He had no right to hurt her or my son. He is an evil man and I will not let him hurt my family any more.
An outraged, murderous cry tore from my throat and I lunged toward Gabe as he brought his belt back down on Annabeth. He did it once more before I grabbed him and threw him into the opposite wall with my godly strength. I looked down at Annabeth and saw her eyes slide closed and her head loll to the side as she passed out. I gritted my teeth and flew at Gabe. I punched him in the gut and then grabbed his head. I slammed it into the wall twice before he was finally knocked out. I dropped him to the floor and took a step back.
Looking around, I saw that Annabeth was still out. The Judge was lying in a crumpled heap and Percy was passed out on the ground in a pool of his own blood. I rushed over to him and quickly looked him over. Then I ran over to Annabeth. They would both need to go to the hospital. Right away. I dashed over to the Judge and fell to my knees beside her. I gripped her shoulders and shook her agressivly.
"Judge! Judge! Wake up!" The daughter of Iris groaned and brought a hand up to her head, sitting up as I say back on my heels. "Judge!" I needed her to wake up faster.
"Lord Poseidon... What... What happened?" She asked.
"Judge, there is no time for that now! I need you to call a mortal hospital right away! My son and Annabeth need attention imediatly!" I stared at her desperately. She looked back quizzicaly.
"Why didn't you just take my phone and call nine-one-one yourself? And please, stop calling me Judge. My name is Lilly." I looked away and rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly.
"Um... I don't know how to use a phone... I also don't know what nine-one-one is..." I admitted. Lilly made an 'o' with her mouth and quickly pulled out her phone and dialled '9-1-1'... Whatever that is.
The ambulances arrived a few minutes later and the paramedics found me sitting beside my son staring sadly at his face. They loaded Percy and Annabeth onto strechers and took then out to the ambulances. I rode with Percy and Lilly rode with Annabeth. We both needed to be checked out as well.
When we arrived at the hospital, Percy and Annabeth were rushed to the ER. While Lilly and I had to get something called an MRI to see if we had concussions. Turns out we both did and we got to stay at the hospital for a day until the doctors said we could go.
I sat in my bed, my face blank, not thinking about anything but my son and Annabeth. Hoping and praying that they would be okay in the end.
A/N Word Count: 5711
Long chapter! Not the longest I've given, but I'm proud of myself. I wrote this in, what, three... four days? Wow! Anyway, I'm going to be taking a break on this story to work on 'Save Me If You Can'. Another story I'm writing. I just started it... And since there's still like, only two people who have even read the second chapter, and no one's read further, it's not like that's going to bother anyone. So, if anyone does read this before I get back to this, read 'Save Me If You Can' while you wait. It's and original story, not a fanfiction, but I'm proud of the first chapter and I'm proud of the plot I have set up for it.
I'm not discontinuing this story, just putting it on hold until further notice. And, would someone explain to me what hiatus is? So I can know in case I use it at some point? Thanks.
Bye bye!
Yours in demigodishness and all that,
Annabeth_Jackson_12
