"Anhye!"

I lifted my head, peeking at Chastity and Charity from under my cozy blanket, and made a dissatisfied grunting noise. They were definitely here in my room for trouble and I was not having it. "Ladies. It's 'me time' now and I'm trying to get some beauty sleep, please."

Chastity jumped on me and I groaned as I felt her heavy body weighing down on me. "Sorry for barging, we just needed some advice-"

"Ask the others, Jieun," I sighed, pulling the covers over myself. "They'll help you plenty."

"We already asked the others and they were useless. Some even got suddenly depressed because it was a sensitive topic to them."

She snuggled into me, earning exasperated noises from me. How stubborn could she be? Chastity was always so involved with someone else's business. What was she so adamant about now? Shooing her was like shooing a bull.

"Okay okay!" I sat up, pushing the hazel haired girl off myself. "If I just answer whatever you're so hung up about, can I please drop dead on my bed?"

"Yes," Chastity chimed and sat down beside me before turning to the white haired, scared looking Virtue. "Our sister Saejin has something she needs help with."

'Sister'...

It was still strange to consider them that way.

Charity pursed her lips, playing with her nails. "How do I ask a guy out?"

I huffed loudly. That was it? Pick-up lines? Just for that? Were they serious?

"Roses are red, violets are blue. Guess what, my bed has room for two."

She gasped in horror while Chastity made a 'pfft' noise. "Oh my gosh, no!"

"Twinkle twinkle little star, we can do it in a car."

"Stop it!"

"Row row row your boat, gently down the stream. Merrily merrily merrily merrily, I can make you scream."

"That's going dangerously into a serial killer territory," Chastity giggled like she was really enjoying this.

"Who is this 'guy' anyway?" I rubbed my eyes to dust off some sleepiness. "And why is it serious? Is it someone you used to like that's dead now?"

"You could say that," Chastity answered, fixing her braid to occupy herself. "It's nothing serious so don't worry. She knows what she's doing."

I stared at her and then at Charity who didn't look like she knew what she was doing at all. Her face was painted with confusion. Her downturned eyes looked even more downcast and her mind was somewhere else. I didn't know what Chastity was trying to convince the innocent girl, but it wasn't working.

Love? If I was her, I wouldn't do that. We weren't here to be in a relationship with someone. We were here just for our duties and to rest. We were incapable of feeling strong emotions for that reason.

Still, I shouldn't care. She was capable of handling herself. I simply went back to sleep when they left.

Still, it took some time to take my mind off our conversation.

"Hobi, you red rat!"

I stopped in my tracks to look at the two Deadly Sins, Wrath and Lust as the former laughed at the way he drenched the purple haired girl. She kept cursing and kicking him, searching the park for something. Probably something to throw at him, judging from the way she gritted her teeth and balled her fists.

"You're too mad, Eunsook," he laughed, jumping around the place with such broad grin. "Should I cool you off?"

"Not funny! I'm telling Jimin!"

"Yes, I'm here!"

Suddenly, the blonde Deadly Sin ran up to them and started whispering something in Wrath's ear. The two giggled at each other while Lust whined, "Jimin! You should be siding with me, you snake!"

She whirled around and our gazes suddenly locked. Our eyes widened at the same time and I stood there like an idiot, malfunctioning and trying to force myself to do something. Anything. Awkward.

She pursed her lips and wiped her chin after breaking eye contact. Maybe she was embarrassed that I saw her in that state.

"Oh! Anhye!"

The loud man exclaimed and waved at me when I turned to look at him. Greed, on the other hand, scanned me up and down like he was judging me, his dark eye makeup making him look even more intimidating. I wondered how Charity got along with him. He looked like he could eat her alive.

Wait, was I worried about her?

"I'm off, guys," Greed said and disappeared before the two could respond.

"I should dry myself," Lust said and threw a glare at the man. "I'll get my revenge."

Wrath chuckled and she disappeared as well, leaving the two of us. The problem of being a Virtue was this. I was almost always with Wrath. Though our conversations were short, mostly from his side, they were the longest conversations I had with anyone most of the time.

I hated that.

"Did you use your powers today, Anhye?"

I rolled my eyes. "It's a secret. And it's Patience."

He laughed. "Okay. I keep forgetting. But do you not like your name?"

I gaped at him. "I don't care, I think? Why do you ask that?"

"You don't want me calling you by your name so bad. And you don't call the others by their names, either."

I looked at him in surprise. He knew of that? Was he observing me?

"It's just... unprofessional." I rubbed my arm.

"Okay. I don't mind." He smiled. "You can call my Hoseok."

I felt uncomfortable with the way he was being nice and walked away. I was still confused about why he was like that with me. Was he really just so easygoing like that? Then, why was he a Deadly Sin now?

I lost balance after someone bumped my shoulder, and I turned around to see a furious older man scowl at me. I forgot that I materialized myself.

"Watch where you're going, you blind bitch!"

I was too stunned to speak. His loud yell made me paralyzed and a familiar uneasy sensation was spreading through my body from within my chest. So familiar but duller. Barely even there.

"Hey, leave her alone!"

I was pulled to a taller body and I blinked out of my daze to look up at Wrath who was standing up for me. The older man cursed at him under his breath and stomped away. How embarrassing. I couldn't even stand up for myself. I was still prone to my past, it seemed.

"Anhye?" Wrath whispered, something I never heard him do, and his eyes softened as he looked down at me. "Are you okay?"

His face was too close that I quickly moved out of his hold and assured him that I was fine. I didn't expect him to do that and I hoped he wouldn't do it again...

Or I could be in serious trouble.

"I'm off then," he said and smiled at me.

I watched him leave in silence, and reminded myself that I was a Heavenly Virtue now. And nothing can hurt me. As long as I stayed out of everyone's business.
