We managed to sneak past the guards at the main gate. The long, long gate that separated our kinds. Vampires are fast, strong, stealthy, we can jump high, most of us keep our nails long to act as claws, and we do have our fangs. We snuck past the guards in the darkness of the shadows. We lept from rooftop to rooftop, now we were just walking from one roof to another, looking at the town below, they were having some sort of festival, what seemed to be the town square was decorated, people were dancing, there was music, people playing games, there was even people our age.

"Be right back" I said as I jumped from the rooftop, my black skirt shifted a little from the drop, I was adjusting it when someone tapped my shoulder, "Velika, Ivory if that you, that is so not funny.." I said as I turned around.

"Oh, well, good thing my name isn't that then." a young boy said, I was terrified, I was fascinated by humans, but I had never thought to go near one. What if he knew who I was, what I was?

"Um-uh, h-hi... BYE" I stuttered as a ran down the alley, turned back to make sure he wasn't there, then jumped up onto the top of an apartment building. 

"Hey! I'm sorry for scaring you. Where did you go?" they boy called out as he searched the alleyways.

"Willow... what did you do? Why is there a human looking around the alleyways calling out for someone?" Ivory said

"Well I was around over there, watching the people dance, then someone tapped my shoulder, I thought it was you two, I turned around and he was there. So I ran." I said as I peeked over the edge of the roof.

"Great, well no more alleyways, let's just watch from the roof" Velika said as she pulled Ivory down to sit on the rooftop to watch the festival, I continued to watch the boy search for me. At least 20 minutes had gone by, the boy didn't seem to give up on finding the girl he had scared.

"Come on! I really didn't mean to scare you!" He called out, he kept calling out apology after apology, he kept calling me by the name "mystery girl", I felt bad for him, so I got out a piece of paper, I wrote down "Sorry for making you worry. I'm okay now. -Mystery Girl" I folded the paper into a butterfly, and sent it down to the young human boy. It landed on his head. He felt it, and took it off, he unfolded it and read it aloud. He looked all around to try to see if I was in the area, finally he looked in the direction of the roof I was sitting on, I panicked and went farther to the center of the roof so he wouldn't see me, but in my hurry to hide I had kicked a loose shingle off the roof. It crashed onto the ground, bringing him to the attention of my legs just disappearing around the corner of the roof. "Hey! How did you get up there, you could fall!" Sure enough after he said that, I slipped on some loose shingles. I was dangling from the edge, I managed to hold my grip well, but with just one hand.

"Ivory!! Velika!!! HELP ME!!" I yelled, they heard me, because we also have super hearing, I don't know if I mentioned that... anyways, they came and they were freaking out until I reminded them that they had super strength so that they could just pull me up. They did, but the human boy saw us.

"Wait! How did you? How strong are you?" He said, you could tell he was terrified, impressed, confused, all at once. His face seemed like it was going to be frozen like that, then he snapped back and began to climb the fire escape.

"Ah! Go, go, go!" Ivory yelled, I grabbed my bag, Ivory and Velika grabbed theirs, we began to navigate through all the junk on that roof, boxes, AC units, unwanted furniture, it was like a jungle of junk up there. We were moving so slowly trying not to trip on all the garbage, that the boy had already climbed up the fire escape chasing us, he somehow found a way to move quickly through the piles of unwanted stuff. "He's going to catch up to us! We can't run vampire fast in front of him." Ivory said.

"Well then." Velika said as she began to pick up stuffed animals, small boxes, pillows, couch cushions, and other light items to throw at the boy to slow him down, then there was a gap between the us and the next rooftop, it was huge, but we couldn't use our powers....
