Marinette's POV

Oh no, oh no, oh no! This is bad, Chole cannot be in my class. I saw Chole look at me as she smirked at me. 

"Well, if it isn't Marinette Dupain-Cheng." She said as she walked up to me, "One of my fellow friends, is that right?" She said to me as she laughed. "This just made my day better knowing that there's a jerk in this classroom that I can bully. They don't call me Chole without a reason."

I stood there silent. "Ew, I liked your bun better than those pigtails of yours. Have you turned childish over summer break? HAHA!" I felt tears come down from my eyes as she said that to me. I didn't know wearing pigtails made you childish, it's just a hairstyle.

"Here's for starters, Dupain-Cheng. If you really need help in deciding a hairstyle, then you can ask me." She said as she laughed, Sabrina laughed too.

"Chole," I heard someone say, "Just sit down, please."

I looked behind me to see who said that and it was someone with blonde hair and green eyes. He had a sage green shirt on with white stripes on it. 

"I would've ignored you, but since you're my Adrikins, I'll sit down just for you." Chole said. She came up to me and whispered, "I'm not done with you if you really think that." After, she walked away from me. 

I wiped my tears as I smiled at the boy that told Chole to go sit down, he smiled back at me. I'm guessing his name is Adrikins since Chole called him that. 

I looked around the classroom to find an empty seat, but most of them were taken. After, I looked at the back of the classroom and saw a table with no one there. I decided to stay there since I didn't want to go sit with someone else. I wasn't the best at communicating. 

After some time, the teacher walked into the classroom. We didn't really learn anything since it was our first day of school. After, the bell rang, and everyone started to walk out of the class. As I was getting my stuff, I saw Adrikins walk up to me and smile. 

I smiled back, "Hi Adrikins!" I said to him as I waved. 

He stopped smiling then laughed, "So what are you now, Chole?"

I felt embarrassed when he said that. I could never be Chole, she was right, I could NEVER measure up to her standards.

"I'm sorry, but what do you mean? Did I say something rude just a second ago?" I said back to him. 

"Haha! You did nothing wrong, it's just that only Chole calls me Adrikins." He said back to me.

I felt my cheeks get red as I felt even more embarrassed, "OH, I didn't know that... sorry. What's your name?"

"No need to be sorry, and my name is Adrien. I thought everyone would've known since the boards outside have my face on it... but I'm guessing that you're new to Paris."

"WHAT, NO! I've been living in Paris since I was born, I just never looked up I guess." I said back to him, smiling. 

"Oh, well see you around.... what's your name?"

"Marinette, my name is Marinette."

"Well see you around, Marinette!" Adrien said as he walked away. 

I saw Tikki come up to me as she smiled. My smile faded while I looked at her, "Don't make this more embarrassing than it is." I said to Tikki.

"BUT THAT WAS SO CUTE!" Tikki said to me.

I felt my cheeks turn red as she said that "Go back in my purse before people see you!"

She went back inside of my purse as I walked to the locker room. I went up to my locker and opened it as someone slammed it. I looked and saw Chole there. 

"Hey, Mari-rat!" She said to me, "I saw you talking to Adrien just a second ago."

"So what?" I said back to her.

"He's a famous icon model. He has no time for you, so don't even think that he likes you. The closet that you guys will ever be is friends, and that's all. Don't think someone actually sees you as a somebody for the first time, because to him, you're nothing. You're just a baker's daughter, HAHA!" Chole said to me.

"I wasn't expecting him to see me as a somebody-"

"Yes, you were." Chole said interrupting me. "Now stop talking to him. Go find somebody who has no friends and is a loser just like you! Oh wait, you can't find someone else like you because you're the only loser in this school." Chole said as she pushed me to the floor. "Once a nobody, always a nobody. Let's go, Sabrina."

I got up and ran to the bathroom in tears. I went inside of a stall and started crying. My whole face was red, and I could barely even breathe. 

"Marinette, you need to calm down." Tikki said as she flew out of my purse.

"B-BUT DID YOU SEE WHAT SHE DID TO ME!" I said as I was crying even harder. 

"I was inside of your purse, so no, I didn't see what she did to you, but I heard what she did to you, and felt when she pushed you."

I didn't even say anything. I never liked Chole; she would always try to ruin things no matter what. 

"Marinette, just breathe-" Tikki said as she stopped talking. After, she screamed. 

I never heard Tikki scream before. 

I looked over to where Tikki was looking, and I saw a black butterfly. I started screaming due to how creepy it looked. 

"MARINETTE, WHATEVER YOU DO, JUST RESIT! DON'T LET THE BUTTERFLY TOUCH YOU!" Tikki yelled at me. I opened the bathroom stall quickly and ran out of it. 

As I was running, I bumped into Adrien.
