Yah! It's finally Friday
I'm so happy I won't be going to work tomorrow because it's been one hell of a week.

The week has been full of drama and seriously, I need a break.

The only thing that worked out well for me this week is my relationship with Nick.

Have always known Nick to be a cool guy, and I'm also aware of how cold he could be while handling business. but the side he showed me these past few days is amazing.

I've grown so comfortable around him. Not like I wasn't before but our relationship was purely business and of course, we've to be on good terms to be able to work together which is why we get along pretty fine before. But now, I think I can refer to him as a friend.
He has been paying more attention to me ever since the drama unfolds in his presence. And no, it's not for sympathy, because I can tell when someone is doing something out of pity.

He's still the same businessman at work whom I treat with respect as my boss. But outside, "he's just Nick". His words, not mine.

It feels good to know someone cares about you. I know it's only been a few days since we got closer but it feels good.  Okay maybe I'm exaggerating but for a young and successful man like him, I'm impressed with the way he carries himself and how he treats people with so much respect and love.

He can be scary when he wants to be though. But then, he worked so hard for his business to blossom so that's understandable.

I'm sure you're wondering why am thinking about my boss this early morning when I'm supposed to be preparing for work.
What can I say, when you see a good man, you just have to appreciate him.

I went straight to shower as I couldn't do my usual workout this morning because my muscle needs to rest.

I settled for a turtle neck and a skirt as I slide into my heels.
I don't want to make up so I only rub powder on my face and add a little gloss to my lips.
I checked myself out in the mirror and smiled in contentment. "Yh, I look good. "

I got to work at 7:45 am as usual and begin my work almost immediately.

Time seems to be working a bit too slow today or maybe it's because I finished my work earlier than usual.

I got bored of doing nothing, and it's just 12:45 pm like hell what would I be doing till 6!?
I decided to take a walk, and to my surprise, I found myself in front of Nick's office. "sigh"

I knocked gently and await his reply.
I heard Nick shouting at someone and I regret knocking immediately. He's probably in a bad mood.
I was about to leave when he opened the door and slammed it shut as he walks out, leaving me in shock.

He walked out looking so pissed and his hair looks like he has run his hands through it a few times out of frustration, I guess.

Hmm... "Good afternoon sir" I greeted.
He didn't even bother to reply, he just walks away from me.

I wonder who pissed him off so bad.

I went back to my office and being to skim through some of the contracts that were brought to me sometime last week. I saw a few things that caught my attention and I begin to circle the part that I'll like to be corrected before we sign the contract.
Before I know it, it's 4 pm.
Shoot! I miss my lunch again.
I sighed as I walk alone on the busy road to get myself something to eat.

I saw the restaurant I went to the other day across the road where I saw the drama queen so I decided to go somewhere else because I don't know how frequent she visits there and I don't need more drama in my life.

I had to walk for a few minutes before I'm able to find a decent restaurant I can eat in.

As I entered the restaurant, a woman caught my attention as she was yelling at some guy in front of her. Probably her boyfriend I thought to myself. I watch as she continues calling the guy different names.
The guy said something in a hushed tone and her next reaction caused everyone to gasp, including me.
She slapped the guy so hard and walked away. She even barges into me aggressively without an apology.

"Bitch" I mutter.

I looked back to the table she just left, and I have eye contact with Nick.

"Damn! It's Nick who got slapped"

I don't know if I should walk up to him or just order my food and act like that didn't just happen. So I stood there, shifting my weight from one leg to another.

Finally, he walks from where he was standing and towards my direction.
I was about to open my mouth but then, he opens the door behind me and left me standing like a fool with my mouth slightly open.
That's when I realized I've been standing by the door "shit"

I ordered my food and eat peacefully.
When I am done, I went back to my office.
It's 5:30 already. Wow! That was fast.
I packed my bag and decided to call it a day.
I went to the front desk and said my goodbyes to Maddie as I left.

I heard the sound of TV the moment I open the door to my apartment.
Did I forget to switch it off before I left for work?
I saw Natalie on the couch, typing on her phone. She didn't seem to notice my presence as she was engrossed in whatever she was doing on her phone.

Alie?

Hey girl she said finally looking up from her phone as she gives me her signature smile.

Thought you would be out for the week

Yh, I was supposed to but we finished earlier. And I don't want to miss tonight's party.

Well that's Amazing

How have you been?

I narrate how my week went from sour to bad and she kept muttering profanities at Laura like the crazy girl that she is and I just smiled.

I added Nick's reactions today, how he walked out on me twice and she told me to give him a break.
He's probably having a bad day so leave him alone.

I took a quick nap and woke up at 8:00 in the evening.
Damn, we need to get a dress for the party.
I wake Alie as she peacefully sleeps beside me so that we can both get dressed.

Alie did my makeup and style my hair which made me look different but in a good way.  Alie used red lipstick for me which compliments my well fitted red dress.
I'm glad we picked this dress I said, smiling to myself.

Damn girl, you look hot in that dress, Alie compliments.

You don't look bad yourself.
Alie looked amazing in her blue strapless dress, revealing her tanned back.
I guess she got that from exposing her body to the sun at the beach during the shoot.

We called a cab since we might get our ass drunk, and leave for the party.

Just as expected, the party is full of the cream of society.

I'm so lucky to be here.
This party is not even for people like me,  I wonder why Nelson invited me.

Okay, quick one.
Nelson is one of our clients who has been showing interest in me.
We've been on it for a while but I'm not interested. He's a cool guy though so I don't mind being friends with him, and that's why I'm here.

Alie and I kept looking around for any familiar face when someone suddenly pulls me into a hug. It's Nelson

You made it, he smiled.

Told you I'll come I replied with a smile.

You look breathtaking he said as he continues to check me out.

Thank you, you don't look bad yourself.

That, I know he said causing me to laugh

Let me introduce my friend to you.
Natalie meets Nelson and Nelson, this is their best friend, Natalie.

They shake each other's hands and stare at each other. I can see Alie is blushing from where I'm standing and I just shake my head at her silliness.
Nelson won't take his eyes off her either.
Okay, that's weird.
Finally, Alie removes her hand from his and he excuses himself saying he has to welcome other guests too.
