Late

(Y/f/c)= your favorite color
"Stop running, you'll get lost!" I yell after the twins as Toria and I chase them down the halls.
"That's what we're trying to do!" They laugh in unison, only running faster.
"Miss Lupin! MISS LUPIN STOP!" a professor yells from behind us. For the millionth time this week I'm carted back to my dorm under careful supervision. The investigation was leading them nowhere, but the court yard stayed untouched as I requested. Oli and I were left to study dates and lunch dates, and the twins and Toria did everything they could to make sure I was having fun; all while minding their injuries which were healing well. To say the least, it has been difficult. For now I have dinner and the weekend to look forward to.
As I walk into the great hall I survey around for my friends, finding them nestled at the front of the Gryffindor table with their heads huddled closely together. They must be planning something.
"Alright break it up, the mastermind is here. What's the big plan of the weekend?" I smile down at them as I slide onto the bench next to T. They all look at me wide eyed and surprised, as if I was a walking zombie or something. "What? Have I got something on my face, or am I just absolutely stunning today?"
"What's happened to your hair?" Fred gasps as I pull a (long/short) strand into view. I examine it and realize that it's a bright pink color, much to my confusion.
"Well that's news to me, one of you dye it in my sleep?" I laugh it off, I can always reverse the charm, curse, or whatever it may be later. I mean I (don't/do) like the color, but it's temporary at best.
"You're just fine with it?" Grunts someone from behind us. I turn to find an incredibly unamused Slytherin, presumably a friend of Malfoy's she looked young and impressionable, probably a pure blood sucked into the hierarchy.
"It's temporary. It's been done, I've done it to people, so it honestly is unproblematic. I'll fix it later. Did Malfoy send you to bug me? Because you can tell him to try harder next time," I sigh and turn around, some random fledgling prankster can't bother me anymore; I won't let it. She sighs pettily, as if to get me attention, and stomps off.
"Are you sure you're alright, (Y/n/n)?" George asks and pats my hand across the table, giving me a concerned look.
"Absolutely, honestly this is the least of my problems with everything else going on. Will one of you at least change it to (y/f/c), please?" I smile and ruffle my own hair jokingly. They all laugh and agree as Toria charms it as I ask. The rest of dinner is filled with jokes and laughter like normal, and we all agree to a picnic at the lake this weekend. "I'll see you all later, yeah? I need to go track down a certain Hufflepuff," I sigh and get up.
My face is met with a chest with a black and yellow tie hanging loosely on it. I look up to see Ced, looking incredibly guilty.
"I think it's time we talk," he places a hand on my shoulder and gestures towards the door.
"Better late than never." I wrench my shoulder from his grasp and storm out, heading for the tree house.
