Obi-wan's Arrival
Sarai has been on Kamino for the last ten years. She was the padawan of Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas. She was only eleven when he took her on as a padawan. She was the youngest padawan until Anakin. Her master took her with him to Kamino and left her there when he was told by Chancellor Valorum to go to Oba Diah to negotiate a settlement with the Pykes. He did not want his young padawan near those gangsters and promised to come back for her once he was done.
However, before he could complete the mission with the Pykes. He was summoned to Felucia by the Jedi order. A skirmish had broken out between the local tribes, and Sifo-Dyas was assigned to quell the conflict. But he never made it to Felucia as he was shot down by the Pykes. Who had made a deal with Count Dooku.
Sarai never knew what happened to her master. Though she had a nightmare of him dying. She believed it was just a dream. She was believed to be dead along with her master. She was only eleven and could not fly back to Coruscant on her own. And the Kaminoans needed to make the clone army for the Republic. So she had to stay. But she did her best to continue her training herself. By meditating, sparing with clones, learning how to pilot a ship and praying a member of the Jedi order would come collect her. Not knowing they never suction the creation of a clone army.
(Present day Kamino) Sarai's POV
I was meditating when I felt it, another Jedi approaching Kamino. Can it be true? Had they finally come for me? I grab my light saber and race through the halls heading for one of the landing docks. I see Taun-We waiting at the door as it buckets down with rain. "Taun-We, is it really a Jedi?" I ask her hopeful.
"Yes, why don't you go inform Lama-Su?" she suggests. I nod my head and race to his office. I knock on his door and wait patiently. He opens it.
"How may I help you Commander Xander?" he asks me.
"It's Sarai or padawan Xander. I'm no soldier" I remind him.
"Of course" he says bowing his head slightly.
"Anyway Taun-We sent me, a Jedi has finally arrived" I tell him excitedly.
"That is good, I know you have longed to return to your training" he states. "I do hope he likes the army we built for the Republic" he says.
"I'm sure he well" I assure him. Just then Taun-We arrives with the Jedi and I smile. "Master" I say bowing out of respect.
"A padawan" he says surprised.
"I'm Sarai Xander" I tell him.
"May I present Lama Su, Prime Minister of Kamino and this is Master Jedi..." Taun-We says.
"Obi-Wan Kenobi" the Jedi says. Still looking at me surprised. Lama-Su has us all sit. I cross my legs and place my hands in my lap.
"I trust you are going to enjoy your stay. We are most happy you have arrived at the best part of the season" Lama-Su tells him. i nod my head in agreement.
"You make me feel most welcome" Obi-wan states.
"And now to business. You will be delighted to hear we are on schedule. Two hundred thousand units are ready, with another million well on the way" Lama-Su tells him.
"That is... good news" Obi-wan says looking confused. Strange, didn't he know about the army?
"Please tell your Master Sifo-Dyas that we have every confidence his order will be met on time and in full. He is well, I hope?" Lama-Su asks.
"Master who?" Obi-wan asks.
"Master Sifo-Dyas, my master. He's still a leading member of the Jedi Council, is he not?" I ask him.
"Master Sifo-Dyas was killed almost ten years ago" he tells us.
"My master is dead?" I ask shocked. Not knowing how to feel about it.
"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. But I'm sure he would have been proud of the army we've built for him" Lama-Su states.
"The army?" Obi-wan asks while I'm still trying to come to terms with my master's death.
"Yes, a clone army. And, I must say, one of the finest we've ever created" Lama-Su tells him proudly.
"Tell me, Prime Minister, when my Master first contacted you about the army, did he say who it was for?" Obi-wan asks him.
"Of course he did. This army is for the Republic. But you must be anxious to inspect the units for yourself" Lama-Su states.
"That's why I'm here" Obi-wan tells him.
"Excuse me, I must go meditate" I tell them. "I'll talk to you later Master Kenobi" I add before leaving. I head for my room and take out a picture of me with my master. It was taken the day he took me as his padawan. The other masters thought him crazy for taking such a young padawan. But he did not care, he said he saw great things in my future.
I can't believe he's dead. I thought it was just a nightmare ten years ago. "I'll find out who killed you master and turn them in" I vow. Revenge is not the jedi way, but I can still make sure his killer or killers are brought to justice. I take a deep calming breath and start to meditate.
(Time skip)
I hear a knock on my door and sense Obi-wan. "Come in" I say and he enters. I change my position, opening my eyes. "How did my master die?" I ask him.
"We're not entirely sure, he disappeared ten years ago and we could never find him. Not even with the force" he tells me. "I did not know he had a padawan" he adds.
"I had only just began my training as his padawan. I was the youngest padawan ever chosen, only eleven. But then we came here to see the first clones. When he was called away on a secret mission, said it was to dangerous for me. So had me stay here, promised to return once his mission was done. But he never did" I tell him. "I had a nightmare about him being in a horrible crash a few days later. I thought it was a dream, a nightmare. But now I know that must of been a vision of his death. But I was to young to understand that at the time. He hadn't even explained Jedi visions to me. I've been here ever since" I explain.
"Why not have one of the Kaminoans escort you back to Coruscant? Or contact us?" he asks me.
"They had to supervise the production of the clones and train them. They could not spare someone to escort me back and I could not fly back then. We always thought someone from the temple would come for me if not my master. They were contemplating sending me back to contact the temple if no one arrived within the next week" I tell him.
"It must of been hard, all these years without your master" he says.
"Yes, but I made friends along the way with the clones and did my best to keep up with my training. But I know I still have a lot to learn if I wish to become a knight" I tell him. "Will you take me with you?" I ask him hopeful.
"I came in a fighter, it sits only one person. But I've alerted the jedi council of your presence here. No, doubt they will send someone to collect you soon and inspect the clone army also" he assures me.
"I hope so, I long to continue my training properly with a master. But who'd accept me as a padawan now? I'm nearly twenty-one and have been away for the last ten years. What if they don't accept me back?" I ask him scared. He places a calming hand on my soldier.
"Everything will be alright, do not fear" he tells me. "Now I am going to see Jango Fett, would you like to come?" he asks me.
"I try to stay away from him, my master said never to trust a bounty hunter. Though I do baby sit his son for him" I tell him. "I'm actually hungry, I think I'll go to the mass hall and grab a bite to eat" I state.
"Of course, no matter what you hear. Please do not come to my aide" he tells me.
"But..." I try to say.
"That's an order" he tells me.
"Yes Master, you promise someone from the temple will come for me?" I ask him.
"I promise" he assures me. "Now run along, I look forward to seeing you at the temple" he tells me. Before leaving. I sigh in defeat and leave heading for the mass hall. I spot Rex and smile as I go join his group.
"Hey Commander, how's your day been?" he asks me.
"Found out my master died ten years ago and everyone thought I was dead" I tell him.
"That sucks" he says.
"It does, but I'll be returning to the temple soon. Hopefully you all will finally be able to fight the separatists" I tell him.
"We look forward to it" Bolt says from beside Rex.
"We got a training session after this, care to join us?" Rex asks.
"Why not" I say shrugging. "Only if you boys can keep up" I say smirking.
"I think she's challenging us Captain" Bolt says smirking.
"Well then, challenge accepted commander" Rex tells me. We finish eating and head for the training room. We're greeted by Taun-We. She smiles at me and allows me to enter with the squad. I grab my light-saber as we wait for the signal. Soon it comes and the training session begins. The objective to reach the top of the tower without being shot.
