Jealous wolf, dangerous wolf
Shane was sleeping on the wooden floor of his boyfriend's room. Even though he was in his human form and he transformed himself less often compared to when they got together, he couldn't free himself from his lupine behaviours (like sleeping everywhere, comfortable or not, and not feeling embarassed from being a wolf and then transforming into a naked human).
That day Chase went to school. He lived quite far away from the city, so he stayed mostly at home, going to school once or twice a week.
An unmistakable voice (but before it his footsteps) woke him up. Another voice, unknown, bursted into laughter, covering Chase's voice.
Shane stretched with no hurry and went to the window to see. His human was talking with another guy; he was tall, had dark hair and eyes green like the leaves of oaks during spring.
- Uh?
They were chatting in a friendly and calm way, but there was something in the stranger's gaze that alarmed him. Suddendly he hugged Chase, smiling, happy as ever.
The boy with red eyes laughed nervously.
- Come on, let me go, Edward - he heard him say.
Edward.
The other let him go, staring at his lips.
The wolf-boy felt an incontrollable anger shake his whole body. A second later, without really wanting to, he transformed into a wolf. He ran to the door and hit it with his head, even though Chase asked him to stop doing that.
The two guys turned around to stare at him when he appeared, growling. His human backed away, while begging him with his gaze to calm down.
Shane ignored him and jumped on Edward, furious.
- Shane, no! Let him go!
The wolf growled even louder. Edward covered his face with his arms. Suddendly the animal felt Chase's feet on his side and was pushed away. With a surprised yelp he got off the boy and rolled on his back.
Chase glared at him.
- Go inside! - he ordered, pointing the door. Edward was still paralized by fear.
- Y-you are c-crazy! - he said. - A wolf! A wolf! In your house! And it even has a name! And it obeys to you! You're crazy!
Shane trotted inside, with his ears near his head and the tail between his legs. The boy with green eyes hurried to run away.
Chase went to look for the wolf. He found him on his room, sitting uncomfortably and trying to avoid his eyes. He sat in front of him.
- Come on, transform yourself - he ordered with no particular emotion in the voice.
The animal didn't move.
- Come on, I know that you can do it.
Poof!
The brown haired boy kept looking down and closed his legs, embarassed and ashamed. Chase kept his cool, expressionless, but the wolf-boy could smell his anger.
He was trembling, waiting for the worst. Was he going to kick him out? Was he going to tell him to go back in the forest and never come back? Why did he do that?
- WHY DID YOU DO THAT? - blurted the dark haired boy, glaring at him. - Why did you transform yourself?
- It wasn't voluntary - whimpered his boyfriend, hiding his face behind his arms. Chase gulped and shook his head.
- No?
- I was angry that he was hugging you... and staring at your lips - mumbled Shane.
The boy smiled, moved, and caressed his head.
- It's called jealousy - he said, softening.
- Jealousy...?
- It's not bad. It's a sensation of anger and annoyance towards who touches something or someone that you feel it's yours.
Shane kept looking at the floor, dejected.
- Sorry - he muttered. - I'll... go back in the forest, or I'll find another territory... I'll never approach a human again.
And he stood up. A second later he was a wolf and he jumped on the bed, ready to jump out the ajar window. Chase too stood up and hugged him tight, stopping him.
- Hey. Don't say stupid things. I know that you wouldn't have hurt him... maybe just a little... but you don't have to go back in the forest because of that. You can control yourself, can't you?
Shane nodded.
- Yeah, I guess... I guess so - he said. He got better at talking in the human language while being in his other form.
They sat down again. The dark haired boy ran his fingers through the thick hair on his neck.
- I love you, Shane. I won't leave you for another... another human I am not interested in at all.
The wolf grumbled and rubbed his head under the palm of his hand.
- I'll break the pact with the moon, then! - he exclaimed and tried to go out again. Chase grabbed him again, but he did it so quickly that they both fell down the bed.
- Damn it, no! Would you stop? Why should you? Are you tired of being a wolf?
Shane transformed himself in his arms.
- I like being a wolf. But I'd do it for you... at least I'd be just a human - he said, depressed. Chase kissed his neck.
- The only thing that you have to do for me is loving me, stupid.
The boy with golden eyes turned around and hid his face on his chest.
- I love you... I love you... I love you so much that I want to howl it at the moon every night...
Chase laughed.
- Good boy.
Chase looked away from the book, shocked.
- EMMA!!!
His cousin's wife, and also mother of a little Raphael (three years old), bursted into laughter.
- What's up?
- I'll never behave like that! - bursted at the same time Shane and his fiance.
- It seems like I'm the bottom... - added the boy with red eyes, under his breath. The brown haired boy grinned.
- You could've written a bite to Edward...
Emma grinned too.
- Oh, Chase, you aren't? I thought you were.
Everyone bursted into laughter, even Niko who was in the kitchen. Everyone but the little Raphael, too naive to understand, and Chase, who glared at them.
As always, the book became a best-seller.

Hey there! Thanks for reading this story! It's the first one that I finish translating. There's a sequel, but it's still on going and I'm not thinking of translating it. This story is going to become a Webtoon, once I get my tablet. Again, thanks for reading!
