-Alpha Mason Rivers-

Alpha Mason was asleep in his bed, but he had gotten woken up by horrifying howling. Then the smell, the most beautiful scent. His mate is here. Mason never had gotten out of bed and dressed so fast, and the howling was nonstop. Something is wrong; he feels it in his bones. Mason is down the hall already almost to the staircase that leads to the lobby. Running to the smell of roses, and vanilla with a hint of coconut, the scent leads to the basement cells.

Alpha Mason rips the door at the bottom of the stairs; once he sees them, the Alpha goes after Luke and Alex. The howling stopped when they saw him. Mason is fuming right now. He has to remember not to kill them. They don't know that she's Mason's mate. Once he gets inches from their faces, he lifts them by their shirts. "She is my mate; leave her be. Something is clearly wrong; she can't shift right now. Go and call the other Alphas. I need them sooner than I thought," The Alpha ordered them. He puts them down when they nod their heads in response. They go and run out of the basement, to follow his orders, and of fear. It's been about a week since the alpha meeting and planning for them to come. They were supposed to come two weeks from that day, it's only been a week.

***

Alphas have the power to make others fear their pack members, they need this power to help with keeping order. Alpha Mason doesn't like to rule with fear, so he doesn't use this gift very often. Alpha Crimson likes to use it often, so did other Alphas before him. Once Mason radiates the fear to make them fear him, and they run off to follow orders. Alpha Mason composed himself and stopped using his alpha gift.

After he composed himself, he turned around to look at his beautiful mate. The Alpha's nameless mate is terrified at the current moment. Mason opens the bar doors slowly, keeping eye contact with his mate, who's in the back corner of the cell. He can tell that she's an albino wolf, even though she's covered in a few layers of dirt.

When Mason is inches away from her face, he runs his hands through her fur. The sparks run up Mason's arm and down his body. She makes noises that are purr like as his hand runs through. Mason kisses the top of his mate's head; he whispers, "I will fix this, I'll get the others to help us."

The noise of someone clearing their throat behind Alpha Mason interrupts them. He turns around and sees Tyler standing behind him. "Yes, Tyler, what can I help you with," Alpha Mason asks. Tyler looks over at his Alpha and then at his mate. "Is she-" Tyler begins to say and bows to her and says, "Luna." His mate blushes at Tyler's gesture.
"What did you come down here for Tyler?"

Alpha Mason asks Tyler, reminding him of why he's here. "Yes, sir, the other Alphas are here, sir. I know they're early; we weren't expecting them for another week," Tyler told his Alpha. Mason sighs as he gets up and brushes himself off. "Well, isn't this a surprise," Alpha Mason said, looking past Tyler.

***

Alpha Jack stands behind Tyler with his hand out, ready for Mason's to shake. He grabbed his hand reluctantly and smiled at him. "It's always a pleasure, Alpha Jack, welcome. I wish it were under better circumstances," Alpha Mason greeted himself to Alpha Jack. Alpha Jack smiles back at him, looking him in the eyes, and says, "Likewise, Alpha Mason." Alpha Jack looks over at Alpha Mason's scared mate that's sitting in the dark corner. "Is this your mate?" Alpha Jack asks as he nods over to Mason's mate.

"She is; I was going to call you guys to come soon. We have a little problem," he admits as he looks at his mate.

"It's a good thing we decided to surprise you, Alpha Mason, by coming sooner. What's the problem?" Alpha Jack said as he walked closer to Mason's mate.

"She can't shift back to human," he told Alpha Jack. He can tell from Alpha Jack's face that he doesn't know why she can't shift. Mason can tell this is going to take time to figure out, or maybe it's a simplified explanation.

"Well, Alpha Ethan and Alpha Crimson are here too. I would have someone give your mate a bath, from running all last night, she does need one. We can all meet up in your office or in your conference room," Alpha Jack suggests. Mason looks at his mate and now realizing, she needs a bath.

Mason nodded in response and said, "Okay yeah, I just need a few minutes to get her out of this corner." Alpha Jack nods in response and leaves the basement. He looks over at his sad mate, thinking she's going to hate Mason for doing this.

He sighs as he walks closer to his mate. They meet in the middle of the cell she's in. "You're going to hate me, my beautiful mate. The other Alphas are here to help, but before that, you need a bath," Alpha Mason warned her.

Once his mate is done having a bath, he realizes how strong her scent is to him. His mate was not happy being bathed at all. Once everything was done; Alpha Mason brought his mate to the conference room. The other Alphas are waiting for them anxiously to begin. Everyone was sitting around the table that takes up most of the space.

All of the Alphas are here, along with their Betas. Mason's mate sits next to him, nervous. Her head is down, and her tail is between her legs.

They walk into the counsel room with his mate to figure out what's going on with her shift. They all pile in, and Alpha Mason sits at the table's head, and his mate sits next to him. She looks at Mason with those piercing red eyes. He ran his hand through her white fur. "Okay, so how do we fix her," Alpha Crimson starts. His once shy mate starts to growl at Alpha Crimson in response. Alpha Jack chuckles and says, "You better rephrase that Alpha Crimson."

"Sorry, Luna, fix the situation," Alpha Crimson corrects himself. Alpha Mason's mate puts her fangs away. "Okay, I am going to ask you yes or no questions. Answer them to the best of your ability," Alpha Jack explains to the white wolf. She nods for Alpha Jack to continue. "Okay, did you make contact with our Moon Goddess," Alpha Jack asks his first question? They all look over to Mason's mate, who sits next to him. She nods in response. "Okay, and was she angry with you," Alpha Jack continues with his yes and no questions. All eyes are on his nameless mate. She nods her head for a response.
There's a long pause before he talks again, "we might have to wait this out, Mason. Our beloved Goddess, forcing your mate to stay in her wolf form. She'll be in her wolf form until the time is right," Alpha Jack states. Alpha Mason never felt this frustrated before.

"Did you communicate with her father?" Landon asked. Landon is the youngest of them all, and his father is the wisest of them. Alpha Jack also had some communication in the past with their goddess. So Mason understands why he would ask him that.
"No, I'm just stating the obvious Luna our Moon Goddess doesn't want her human, could be several reasons why," Alpha Jack answered his son.

"So we wait this out?" Alpha Mason questioned, a bit more angry than intended.

"Alpha Mason, I know this is upsetting to you, but you have her now; we will get her back to being human," Alpha Jack said.

"I know-I-I don't even know her name or how I would communicate with her," Alpha Mason says of his concerns. He felt himself beginning to panic. He has found his mate, but they can't communicate. Frustrating is an understatement.

"I know it's frustrating," Alpha Jack said.

"We can figure out how you two can talk to one another in the meantime," Alpha Crimson offers. Mason then felt the sparks. Mason looks down and sees her paw on his hand. She whimpers at him. "I think she's trying to tell you that everything is okay," Alpha Jack said, smiling at them.
"How do we communicate with one another?" Alpha Mason asks.

"You can have her show you around her friends that can tell you her name," Landon suggested. "What about everything else?" He asked. They look over to where Alpha Mason's mate is going. She barks and looks at the whiteboard.

"Or something like that we can have letters and numbers, and she can point," Alpha Ethan said, finally speaking. He's been through a lot, and he kind of keeps to himself along with his pack. He lost everything in one night. Lost his mate, he just met at eighteen, his father, mother, and brother.
"We can try it," Alpha Mason tells them.

Tyler leaves the room without being dismissed. Everyone looks at Mason now, but before he can do anything, Tyler comes back with something. It seems to be an Ouija board; Mason gives him a questioning look.
"Sorry, Alphas, no, we aren't communicating with the dead, but I would like to know my Luna's name," Tyler said as he walked toward Mason's mate. "My name is Tyler, your Beta, Luna, what's your name," Tyler said to his nameless mate. He puts the board down in front of her and says, "point to the letters to spell your name, and I'll write it down." He grabs a piece of paper and a pen that's in the center of the table. She lifts her paw and puts it on E, and Tyler writes it. Then an S, M, E, and Tyler writes it out. Esme.

"Esme, is that it?" Alpha Mason asks her. She nods, and he sees a smile form. She is starting to feel a bit more comfortable around them. Mason looks over to her and sees her muscles aren't so tight. Esme is starting to relax a little. "Great," Tyler said.

"Okay, so do you have friends you need us to get in contact with," Tyler continues. She nods her head and starts to spell out M, A, R, I, S, A, and keeps going. Tyler begins to spell everything out, and it's Marisa, Cassandra, and Chelsea. "Are they friends?" Alpha Mason asks. Esme nods in response. "We will find them and let them know where you are," Mason assured her.

"Why has our Goddess punished you?" Alpha Jack asked. She pointed out what letters she wanted to answer, and Tyler wrote it down. "I Ignored her warning. I thought they were nightmares," Everyone was still.

"What was in these nightmares?" Alpha Crimson asked as nicely as he could. She points out the letters, and Tyler says,

"Extinction."

"Are you sure, Luna?" Alpha Jack questioned; she just nodded in response. Everyone is silent, with nothing to say.

"Explains the disappearance of werewolves around our borders," Alpha Crimson spoke first.

"What does this mean for us?" Alpha Ethan asked. He looks over to Alpha Jack for answers; they all do. He is the oldest Alpha of them, then Alpha Crimson, Mason, then Ethan but only by a few months.

"I don't know Ethan," that's all Alpha Jack said. Mason lost with words like the rest of them. The room smells of fear, but not fear of dying, never that, but for their kind.

"We need to figure out who is doing this to us," Landon states.

"Little hard to do that when there is no trace of them, little pup," Alpha Crimson replies.

"I can ask Elder William," Mason said.

"Would he know anything?" Callum, Ethan's Beta, asked.

"It's worth a try," he said, getting up. "I will be back with my elder," Alpha Mason tells them as he leaves. Esme is at his heel. " Darling, you can stay in with them; they won't harm you," Alpha Mason said, trying to assure her. She growls at him in response. "You can come, Esme," Mason told her. He smiles at her and runs his hand in her fur. She doesn't seem to mind it; Mason thinks she would tell him otherwise.

***

As the two of them walk through the garden, Mason looks over at his mate, who is in awe. In Esme's wolf form, she really can't see all the beautiful colors. They usually see different shades of red when in wolf form. "I will take you to see the garden again, once you are human," he told her. She looks up at him, and he smiles at her.

Alpha Mason wave to get the elder's attention, and the older man waves Mason over to him. He walked over with his mate next to him. The Alpha shakes William's hand and greets him. "Alpha Mason, the third Alpha I had served and most likely my last, how can I help you," Elder William states.

"It will be better if you came with us in the conference room, Elder William," Mason told him.

"This is the first time you have asked for help, and the first time any Alpha in this pack requests me to go in that room," he tells Mason. "I will do what you ask my Alpha," he continued. The Elder follows him back to the meeting. They need to figure out who is doing this. They walked back to the conference meeting room, where Mason left all of the Alphas. "This is my Elder William; he will help us figure out what's happening," he told them.

"So is everyone going to know that our kind is disappearing," Alpha Crimson comments.

"Not just the people in this room, my sister Anna who is busy, and Alpha Jack's mate Lorraine," Alpha Mason stated. "So with all comments aside, let's get working," he ordered.

-Tyler Blackwood-

After the longest meeting ever in Tyler's mind, he contacted his new Luna's family and friends. Joe and Liz are her parents, and her three closest friends.

Tyler is in the storage room where they keep records of pack members and their personal information. They only have this information for situations like this, where they need to be informed about a loved one.

Tyler grabs their house number and dials it, and it goes to their voicemail. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Hilltop, Esme is okay, she's here at that pack house. She's stuck in her wolf form, but she's in the best care there is, with the best healers," Tyler says, leaving a voicemail. Okay, and two more households to call. Tyler thinks to himself. So Tyler calls Marisa first, and leaves a similar voicemail on her machine.

Lastly he calls the Underwood residents, and when he hears Chelsea's voice on the machine, he's unsure. Tyler freezes and isn't sure why he felt a connection towards a recording. So he starts the voicemail a little delayed.

Tyler shakes off the odd feeling and voicemail, then moves on with his day. As they were somewhat notified.

-Aaron White-

After the meeting with all the Alphas, which Aaron didn't attend, knew what they discussed. He knows about the visions at least, and everyone knew the white wolf's name by the end of the day. Esme, Aaron will remember her as she's his Luna.
Her vision is what concerned Aaron, the team leader of the small group. Extinction, that's almost in Aaron's foreseeable future. He can unfortunately see it happen, as his team notices small things in the area around them.

With the team not being in pack territory a lot they made friends from other packs, who they don't see anymore. Most of them have been there their whole lives. So when Aaron heard the news this worried the team.

-Daniel Markus-

Daniel the head omega has been working on this party for all the packs. He's excited for the event to happen, because he knows what this party means. He hates setting it up of course, he misses his friends mostly.
Daniel and Anna picked out a theme for the party and it's formal with a red carpet. The invitations have been sent out, and there will be a guest list for every pack. Daniel now needs to make sure they have enough plates and utensils for all guests.

He sent out Peter with a list and amount for those things. With the theme picked out, Daniel and Peter need to grab decorations for the red carpet theme.

As they find themselves at the store, "something is happening out there isn't it?" Daniel asks as he picks up paper plates.
Peter looks at him with a sad look to him, "I was friends with other Alphas and their packs, out of the blue, we never heard from them. Most of the packs around us just vanished," Peter explains in hushed whispers.

"We really need this party to work, for all of us to survive," Daniel continues the conversation in a whisper.

"Most of us won't make it, unfortunately," Peter says as they check out of the store.
