Chapter 15 ~ Jubilee {II}
"Ugh! My head hurts!" He grunted as he opened his eyes to a well-decorated interior. It was an apartment. He took a look at his palm and his other hand, noticing they had healed overnight.
"You're awake,"
A middle-aged voice tingled into his eardrums as a man with brunette hair and hazel eyes stood across the room with a tray occupied with herbal tea and cookies.
"Are you the one who lent me your blood?"
He asked the man as his figure neared the bed and placed the tray on the nightstand before adding some sugar to the tea, picking it up from the saucer and extending his hand towards the kid on the bed.
"Yes, Billy,"
The shaman took the saucer into his hands and wrapped his fingers around the cup's thin, glass handle.
"So you know me," He took a sip of the tea.
"And these herbs are exactly the ones used to fasten the healing process which means I still have a flaw that needs to be corrected,"
"You're smart for a sly shaman who was saved by none other than the almighty Calice while still being a baby in a cradle,"
"Who are you though,"
"I decent from the pack who tried to end your lineage, they call me Louis,"
Billy frowned before widening his eyes, realising something.
"You're a hybrid,"
"Well yes, but I conceal my wolf aura completely,"
"Then why'd you help me?"
"Because I need your magic,"
"You didn't think of that when you attacked my lineage,"
"I'm not talking about the magic that belongs to you,"
Louis leaned forward, closer to Billy's face.
"The bar's anti-magic essence lies in you, because of the protection spell you placed on yourself, along with the consumption spell,"
(Note: A consumption spell is a spell that helps the shaman aura to steal aura from other magical sources.)
"I am willing to make a deal with you, in order to gain the power Calice has, through the aura you consumed,"
"What?! But how can my spell have me consume something that makes magic impossible to use?"
Louis scoffed as he crossed his hands with a smile plastered over his rosy lips.
"It doesn't make magic impossible to use or disappear. It detects magic and doesn't let you use it,"
Billy left his mouth agape as he threw his head back slightly with widened eyes, figuring out what Louis meant and nodded.
"So what do we do now?"
"We wait and try to gain her trust until we get to know about her most prized weakness,"
"And what might that be?"
"Her half-sister, the hybrid,"

Present day
"So you are well aware she could've just split to her other persona because I can clearly feel it,"
"Relax, Samantha. There is no way she's going to Calice and telling her that shamans are after her at the moment,"
"How are you so sure about that?"
"She avoided Calice for 20 years after splitting,"
"Where could she be now then?"
"I know very well where she is. Just go along with it,"
Rake switched the gear and sped up before Julia's aura came into range and stopped the car on the side.
"Stay here. If you see her, sedate her,"
Rake's figure disappeared into the woods before Samantha zoned out, thinking about how he knew everything about Calice even if she had never met him.
"Wait,"
She widened her eyes and frowned as she looked in the direction where his figure vanished and shifted hastily to the driver's seat before twisting the ignition key and rumbling the car on slightly and moving the gear to drive as she took a U-turn and switched to race, heading away from him.
"I get it now,"
She thought to herself as she continued driving.
"He is Billy, the shaman who Calice saved,"
Rake continued plodding and skimming through the woods.
"You know, it would be convenient of me to tell Calice about the shaman who she never thought would betray her,"
"You have no idea,"
Rake smirked and turned around to look up at a tree about 10 feet away from him. She was crouched on one of the branches as her eyes glowed in the shadows of the branched above, one blue and the other yellow.
"I am well aware I'm about to lose consciousness because of my overpowering deviant aura and running from you ain't that fun,"
Rake chuckled and scoffed as he looked down before looking back up at her.
"You think you'll awaken and find yourself alive?"
"Even if I do die, I have one shot at coming back to life because of Calice's blood,"
"Not when I placed a spell on you from 50 years ago,"
"It doesn't make magic impossible to use or disappear. It detects magic and doesn't let you use it,"
"I assume the spell that weakens me?"
Julia leapt to the ground and sprinted towards the road when suddenly, her body voluntarily leaned forward as she clutched her chest before she vomited blood and fainted.
"As for now, your organs have been crushed inside out,"

"Did you just say they can conceal their aura from being detected?"
"Yeah, I'm also afraid Julia has fallen into the trap of a Gemini,"
"Did she give you a name?"
"No,"
Chris pursed his lips as he nodded.
"Urk!"
Calice suddenly began to bleed from her nose as she felt something familiar within her veins.
"This magic, it's from 50 years ago,"
Chris frowned as he lent her a tissue and stroked her back, making sure she was feeling alright.
"Well, siring someone comes with a cost,"
"For god's sake Chris I am well aware but it's not the bond. Make it worse and I'll beat your arse,"
"If it's not the bond then-,"
"It's the magic,"
A loud crashing noise surrounded Julia's apartment as a huge hole left itself agape on the wall.
Chris coughed harshly as he shoved a huge piece of concrete off his back before taking a stand and twisting his joints, adjusting them. His range echoed with the sound of bones cracking back together as he rotated his neck to adjust his broken backbone together. He walked up to the groaning sounds and clutched all the huge pieces of concrete off each other before finding Calice, her clothes covered in dirt. He extended his hand towards her as she wrapped her fingers around his thumb and pulled herself up.
She took her jacket off, revealing her rib-neck tank top and black leather pants as she coughed up dirt.
"Alright, I'm not going to help her move again,"
She grunted as her shoulder bone relocated.
"You won't be able to,"
Calice looked up at the huge hole in the wall, just to see Tamara standing at the other side.
"Oh, long time no see,"
"Tamara,"
"Chris,"
"Enough with the greetings already,"
Calice pounced at Tamara with all her strength, flying across the woods as she clutched her throat until her back hit the bark of a tree, her nose bleeding.
Chris suddenly pulled Calice back as Tamara brutally coughed, her lungs craving air.
"Let go of me! Chris! I don't care if she's your best friend! Let go of me!"
Chris sighed calmly as her little figure struggled to undo his clasp over her.
Tamara looked up at her and turned before trying to leap onto them but Chris shot his essence at her, making her back hit the bark again, making her whimper.
He said nothing and shook his head lightly, warning her as ragingly on the inside as calmy as on the outside.
He tried to wisp away with Calice but heard Tamara's thoughts asking him something.
"Where is that half-breed filth?"
He widened his eyes but before he could answer his grip on Calice loosened and his hands grabbed his head hard. His brain was beginning to fry.
"Stop it! Now!" Samantha emerged from the middle of the woods, holding her palm up straight, to the front.
"You have no idea-,"
Before she could say anything, a sharp piece of bark ran through her neck. Her head plopped to the ground as her body fell to its knees before dropping dead.
Chris, Calice and Tamara fainted because of the effect of Samantha's spell. The last thing he saw was a pair of red snake eyes, assuming it was Yoongi.
"It's been a while,"

"Mmm," Julia whined as her awakening overtook time, her eyes flickering open.
"Try not to use your vamp hearing or abilities for the next 24 hours,"
Rake made himself visible, stepping into the light of his spot at the abandoned warehouse.
"Billy,"
"Oh, I had no idea you remember me,"
"And I had no idea you were alive,"
"Oh, you thought you killed me,"
"Yeah, protection spell crap,"
Billy pulled a chair close to Julia and took a seat.
"Now, I need your help here, Julia,"
"And let me guess, I need to split,"
"Oh god, no,"
Julia frowned slightly.
"You already did, concluding half my work,"
"Then what exactly are you after?"
"I would tell you but I am afraid you'll split back,"
Julia's frown deepened.
"Even a little guess would ping the lightbulb on,"
Julia's frown disappeared as she widened her eyes upon realising what Billy meant.
"Oh, no please, No,"
Billy was about to say something but was suddenly hit on the side of his neck before passing out.
"Took you long enough, Namjoon,"
"Yeah, I had been keeping my eye on you for a while,"
He hastily untied her and signalled her to leave.
"But what about you?"
"I'll be right behind you,"
Before she could reach the exit, he grabbed her from behind.
"Another move and I'll rip your heart out, twice,"
"Namjoon! Don't forget you're a descendant! Calice will kill you!"
He smirked as he heard that.
"Oh, I'm not Namjoon,"
He came closer to her ear and whispered something.
"Nor am I a descendent,"
He snapped her neck as he finished.
"I'm his other Geminus half, Hayden"
