Chapter 6 Finished Loading.


Commencing Chapter.

FIRST PERSON POV

Alarms blared , all I see was the conn-pod of Romeo Blue. My brother on the right , He kept shouting at me. It was muffled. In an instant , the side of the conn-pod disappeared with blood splattered on the walls and floor. I screamed with grief and pain. 

I opened my eyes and lift myself to sit up straight. I couldn't catch my breath, It felt so real. My hands were shaking, my body trembling. My mind stuck onto one image. And that image was my brother's Helpless eyes as he was torn away from the conn-pod... I look at my left to see the phone blaring its alarm to wake me up for the Test Drift.

I shook my head , I stumbled to my feet. I felt so heavy , Stumbling into the bathroom with a migraine. I held onto the sink as tight as I could. Opened the faucet to let water run. I splashed water onto my sweaty face. My Shirt was drenched in sweat. I closed the door behind me.

I took my off my shirt and threw it at a basket and hopped onto the shower to cool myself.
'What could have I done in that situation?' I thought with grief , opening the shower letting the water flow and hit my body.  I can feel the cold touch of the water flowing down my skin. 

'I've got to seal these memories for the drift later. Or not let them resurface.' I shook my head. This was gonna be a pain..

Soon enough I finished taking a bath. I didn't have Variety in my clothes considering they're all for work purposes. A tight black long sleeve shirt, A Vest with Romeo Blue's Logo on the left as a patch. The back of the Vest it had the skull that was on Romeo's Shoulder as well. I also wore a Military Grade 8 pocket cargo pants. 

I Combed my hair to what feels comfortable before nodding to myself and grabbed my phone on the bedside table before heading out of my room. The door closed behind me once I got onto the halls. 

'Now where is the Drift Simulation Sector?' I looked left and right , before pulling out my phone and checking the map of the entire facility. My Finger trailed the Hall I should follow, Once I found the Drift Simulation at the other side of the Facility I Sighed and started walking to my designated destination.

FIRST PERSON POV

I Finally arrived to my designated location, Well outside of the chamber anyways. I took a deep breath before pressing on a panel opening the heavy doors. With a Hiss, the door opens. Revealing the chamber , revealing my 'co-pilot' or temporary one, Until they get Romeo Blue completely checked out and finished. 

"So you've arrived Mr.L/N , You don't need a suit for this. Just get that helmet on and you ready to go on for drift compatibility." Herc pats my shoulder. "Huh , I guess you guys really improved. Back then , we would do sparring matches to find our Compatibility. And now its just put on a helmet and lets see what happens." I spoke with a shrug. Herc snickered. "Don't get used to it son , Once you two pass this drift compatibility. You two will do a spar in the training chamber later. Don't you dare think that you're safe from no training Mr.L/N" Herc laughed. "Already thought of that Marshal." I replied..

"Hey , Can we get going with the Compatibility test now?"  The Young man Named Rikku Ikumi Spoke. I Looked at him before nodding. My Steps echoed through the chamber as my boots hit the metal grate with each step. I grabbed the left Helmet. "Hey Rikku, Can I be on the right side. My Left Shoulder is kind of sore." I spoke, Rikku nodded and got the helmet off of his head  and moved to the left while making room for Me to move to the right. 

I put on the helmet with a sigh. "Much better." Rikku nodded only to my response as he wore the helmet. "Alright are you two ready?" Herc Questioned , I nodded alongside Rikku. Soon Herc started pressing something on the panel. I Closed my eyes. Waiting for the memories hit me like tidal wave.

"Commencing Drift Compatibility Test." Herc pressed a button on a floating transparent screen before showing the statistics of both minds. "Alright , good start. 90% for the both of you. Better than Last time with another Pilot with Mr.Ikumi , and Still the same with you Mr.L/N From years ago."

THIRD PERSON POV

"Alright, Let's start with the Drift." Herc pressed a button again on the right this time showing a button with the letters 'Start Drift?'. The AI Started a countdown from 15. "You're gonna be stuck in my head kid. You better not snoop around." L/N Spoke , Herc only watched their interaction. "And you don't snoop around mine. Deal?" , "Deal." L/N Replied..

"11 , 10 , 9 , 8 , 7 , 6 , 5 , 4 , 3 , 2 , 1. Commencing Drift." The AI Spoke...

FIRST PERSON POV

My Memories replayed in my mind in a fast forward motion. From we were young , through our years of being teenagers... The Echoing screams of terror of near by citizens.. The First battle in a jaeger with my Brother and the last battle with him... Soon It stopped causing me to jolt. I Breathed  heavily, Everything felt heavy. I opened my eyes and looked to the left. Seeing Rikku Looking at me. But.. Something was off ,  I didn't see anything in his Memories. nothing at all.

"You good Mr.L/N?" Rikku asked , I shook my head. "Y-yeah I'm Fine... I'm Fine." I waved it off as i stood up straight. "So Marshall how is it?" I Asked the old man. "All good , Left Hemisphere and Right Hemisphere are 100% , Even surprising on Mr.Ikumi Statistics. Its better than any of his attempts with the others." Herc Replied with a shocked expression

I raised a brow , This was showing some red flags. "Your telling me This guy here only got the 100% mark on the statistics with me?" Herc Nodded. "He only got to 20.9% as the highest."
Herc pressed on a button stopping the Drift. He started filing the report on Ikumi's statistics boost. "I'm Very Sorry for your lost Mr.L/N. I didn't think it was that worse and painful." Ikumi Spoke. Somehow this struck a nerve in me , I calmed down faster than anticipated. Besides , I don't wanna lash out on the kid. "It's alright. Aye , Marshall. I'll be going out first. Just call me when we need to do the Sparring test." I spoke to him , He nodded. I walked out of the Chamber and headed towards the Cafeteria.
