Third Person POV

Mako guided the Mark 1 Pilot to his old room and the staff gave him his old personal items. Alongside his brother's items as well. Mako sighed as she finished her day. Until Herc Hansen or the General called her. 

"Mako , Can you notify Mr.L/N to come to the command center  at 1700." Herc spoke in his Australian accent , "Yes Sir." Mako responded and knocked at Y/N's Door. Which was opened quickly than expected.

"Yes? What is it?" He spoke with a raised brow , "Herc Wants to see you at the command center at 1700." The Mark 1 Pilot Nodded , Mako soon left to attend her other duties. Y/N Entered his room once again and closed the door. 

He glanced at something laying on his desk... It was a Picture , A Picture of him and his fellow jaeger pilots , he stood with his Brother at the left. He frowned remembering his last moments with his brother in the conn-pod of Romeo Blue.  Soon he smiled, Remembering the good times. 

At least they hit it off with a bang before they were sent to fight that kaiju. A Party to be exact after being famous rock stars back then. He sighed and sat down his bed. With his phone out he put the alarm at 1630 Or 4:30 Pm. He laid on his bed and soon enough his eyelids began to flutter and soon closed. he drifted off to his dreams.

Y/N POV

My Eyes began to flutter as i sat up straight from my bed. it was comfier than expected, The Phone's alarms were blaring when i took a glance at it, I grabbed it and stopped the alarm with a single press on the touch screen.


4:33 Pm.

I groaned ,i slowly stood up from my bed and headed to my own bathroom , which was pretty decent or better than the last one back then.

Y/N POV

I walked down the hallway with no one in them. "Probably busy with their own duties. I wonder what Herc has in store for me." I mumbled while walking down the well lit Hall. Soon enough i stumbled onto the door. It hissed as it slowly opened. Revealing the Command center. 

"Ah... Mr.L/N , You are just right on time Mate. 1700." Herc looked at the Mark 1 Pilot in front of him impressed. Mr.L/N Nodded and Smiled , "So what do you have in store for me Herc?" 

"You see , The Restoration of Romeo Blue isn't complete yet. So we're assigning you to another jaeger temporarily." Herc Explained, I was confused to say the least. Is there seriously a jaeger here that doesn't have two pilots already?

The Doors Open on the left side revealing a young lad, He seems to be new here. Must be a Recruit or a Ranger. A Little Too Young.

"I don't mean to be rude , But isn't he a little too young? And besides , How am i gonna be drift compatible with him." Y/N Spoke with a raised brow and arms crossed. "Well He is a Recruit. Out of all the recruits we have , we can't find anyone who is drift compatible with him. You are the last one. So why not give it a shot?" Herc spoke as he shrugged. Y/N Sighed, The Recruit was looking at Y/N like he was a treat. 

"Fine. If it doesn't work. Don't blame it on me." Y/N Shrugged , ignoring how the Recruit looked at him. "The Jaeger is Azure Defiant. The Jaeger was decommissioned while the kaiju war was happening , considering its radiation leaks couldn't be fixed. Now that we removed and added a new reactor and new radiation shielding. It is functional and no more hazards left."

"Interesting. But once Romeo blue is finished. The Temporary partnership is done." Y/N Spoke with a raised brow , Herc Nodded with Y/N sighing with relief. "And You are?" Y/N Spoke while looking at the young boy. 

"I'm Rikku ikumi." The boy introduced himself. The Mark 1 pilot blinked multiple times. "Are you sure this guy is a boy...?" Y/N spoke with a raised brow. Herc Shrugged. "Hey! That's very rude!" Rikku spoke with a raised brow and a tick mark on his forehead.

Y/N Looked at him blankly. "Somehow , you're acting like one of those Japanese cartoons." The Mark 1 Pilot spoke as he coughed to dismiss his statement. "Anyway.. why are we getting paired?" 

"Its just for emergencies if anything bad happens." Herc Replied to his question. Y/N Nodded. However , the young man raised a brow to Herc's statement , but decides to shrug it off. 

"Tomorrow exactly 09:32. Alright?" Herc Questioned with a stern face. "Yes Sir." They both spoke in unison before getting dismissed. Soon The Mark 1 Pilot walked away, He asked some of the employees  where the physical training department or room is. "Its on the third sector of the facility. Just follow this hallway , pass 3 other ways and go to the right of the 4th intersection."
The Employee replied , Y/N soon bowed and thanked the Employee.
