The remaining half of the day and the night went on pleasant with kathir and mullai dreaming about them, their engagement, their marriage and rest of their lives....

Next day is the shopping day...

Dress Shop....

Murugan, parvathi, mullai, sujitha( cousin 2) , kasthuri and jega arrived at the shop first...

As they were waiting for kathir's family, jega called moorthy and moorthy informed him they will reach in 15 minutes.. so asked them to proceed with shopping and they will come and join them...
Jega informs mullai's family the same...

P : appo saringa namma poi pakalam...
Mullai ku namma onnu edukanum... mudhala kattitu varunum illa.. appuram than eh avanga nichayathartha pudavai tharuvanga... avanga vanthathum antha pudavai edukalam...

Mullai is little disappointed that he still didnt arrive and same time excited to see him again and spend time with him....

The ladies started seeing sarees while jega and murugan sat in the chair speaking about
Engagement preparations...

After 20 minutes time,

Moorthy, dhanam, meena, kathir and kanna reach the shop....

While entering the shop, kathir received a phone from jeeva that he needs some documents immediately so send it from his phone...

K : anne jeeva anne oru velai soliruku.. mudichitu varen neenga elarum ponga...

Mo : sari da... mudichitu vaa...

They all enter the shop and join with M's family....

They greet each other and start seeing the sarees...
Mullai was so very disappointed seeing kathir didnt come...

Mu : mapilla???

Mo : athu varum bothu oru velai athan ...

Vanthuduvan...

Mullai didnt hear the word vanthuduvan as she went blank with the words that he has got some work....

Her face became so dull...

On the other hand, kathir who came inside the shop to see mullai first and then proceed with his work saw all her expressions...

The way she got delighted in seeing kathir family,.
The way she got nervous when talking with them..
The way she searched him..
The way she got disappointed of not seeing him...
The way she saw moorthy curisouly ( he got it moorthy is saying something about kathir)

Kathir started smiling to himself and enjoying each and every reaction of her...

Then mullai reached kasthuri and started telling something pointing jega...

Kathir was noticing all these from a distance..

M : athachi.. avaru eppo varuvaru nu anne kita kelunga...

Kas : adiye arambichutiya..

M : pls athachi.. kelunga...

Kathir sees kasthuri leaving to jega and mullai seeing them with interest....

Kas : enga kathir thambi epa varuvaru nu kupitu kelunga...

Mullai kekara..

Je : athu sari..

Kas : enga neengala kekara madhiri kelunga.. ava per ah solathegha.. veliya therinja periyavanga etha nenachupanga...

Je : sari de...

Jega calls kathir...

Seeing jega's call, kathir was jumping out of joy...
He understood its was mullai who asked to call him...
He attended the call with a smile...

K : solunga mama...

Je : dei enga iruka... eppo varuve..

K : oru velai iruku mama.. varathu kashtam than... ( with all smiles)

Je : dei vara paru da.. nee illama epadi..

K : pakaren mama.. kashtam than...

Je : sari da..

Je : avan varathu doubt am.. velai irukam....

Kas : sariya pochu...

Kasthuri moves to mullai to say this while kathir is curiously watching mullai's face...

M : ena achu athachi.. epo varuvaghalam...

Kas : thambi varatham de.. velai irukam...

Mullai's face dropped like a dead flower... Kathir got moved by her despair of not seeing him... The pain in her face kindled something in him... Though he was feeling bad for giving this disappointment,
He felt happy for it too..

K : dei kathiru unakaga oruthi yengara ngrathu evalo super ah iruku ila... anubavi da anubavi..

Suj : ei.. munji ah ethuku ipadi vechutu iruka.. mapilla veetu aalunga paatha ena nenapanga..

Kas : athane.. edukarathu nichayatharatha pudavai.. konjam siri de.. thambi varalaina ena...

Mullai understood what they say and hid her disappointment
Within her and started seeing sarees...

Kathir searched the documents that jeeva asked for , sent it to him and went near their family....

Seeing kathir, everyone greeted him with respect...

Mullai who turned hearing the word "vaanga mappillai" was surprised to the core and her face bloomed literally like a flower seeing her kathir....

K : athu ungaluku oru surprise kudukalam nu than mama...

Though the answer was for jega's question, his eyes was on mullai making her understand his intention..
Mullai understood its for her and beamed at him which was responded by kathir with a naughty wink...
Mullai who was taken aback by his wink started blushing and turned to the sarees again...

The guys settled in chair facing the ladies who wear busy selecting sarees...

Kanna started playing games in his mobile..
Moorthy, murugan and jega continuing the talk on engagement preparations....

Kathir settled comfortably in a chair near kanna where he could get clear view of mullai...
He couldn't stop admiring the way she spoke,the way she smile, the way she kept saree on her, the way she admired her in mirror and all the while looking at him on and off...

Time passed..
The ladies have done selecting three sarees...

The first one was pre engagement ceremony saree...
It was a mango yellow color...
Mullai kept the saree like how it ll be draped and looked at kathir...
His head automatically nodded in admiration...

Next came the confusion for engagement saree...
Two sarees were selected... one was a red and one was peacock blue...
They called even the gents to see which is good...
They made mullai keep both the sarees on her...
She was equally gorgoeus in both the sarees..
Kathir was literally drooling at this moment...
He nodded his head for both sarees....
But he could see confusion in her eyes...
Finally the ladies decided to go with red saying she looks so good in that than peacock blue...
Mullai nodded her head for them....But kathir noticed she touching the blue saree hesitantly...
He understood what she needs...

K : anni.. antha red ena nallava iruku... romba adikithu...

Dhanam and meena shocked...

Me : enga ungaluku saree pathi elam theriyuma...

D : athane...

Kanna and moorthy also was seeing him shocked...

K : ithula theriyarathuku ena anni iruku.. red konjam mokkai ah iruku.. antha blue than asathala iruku...

He saw mullai's eyes gleaming in happiness when saying this...

P : appo athaiye eduthukalam.. mapilla ku pidichuruku illa.. athu pothum..
Ena mulla..

M : athe eduthukaren ma...( happilly)

They completed the purchase for mullai and came to kathir's purchase...

Ka : anne ena dress ne poda pore.. veshti sattaiya illa pant sattai ah...

K : etho onnu da.. ethu iruntha ena..

He replied first without thinking as he dont have much interest in dressing up...
After a moment, he thought mullai might have something in mind... so shifted his eyes to her and raised his brows...

Mullai understood the hidden question and moved her eyes to pant shirt section and back to him... Kathir nodded his head...

K : anne pant shirt eh eduthukaren...

Ka : ipo than eh etho onnu nu sone...

K : aama antha onnu ethu nu nan eh soliten..

Ka: athu sari ( a suspicious look)

They started selecting shirts for kathir...
After a brief moment, kathir selected a peacock blue shirt with beige pant to match with her saree...
Before he could ask mullai, she nodded her head saying its awesome...

Satisfied kathir decided on it and the entire family left to jewellery shop after finishing the dress purchases...
