CHAPTER 30

"Jade," I said, looking at her.

She was ready to leave to San Francisco and I hoped she didn't tell Addison anything because if she did things would be over between us.

"Yeah?" she replied.

"Don't tell Addison anything." She scoffed as she just stared at me in disbelief.

"And do you really think I would do that? That I would tell Addie what you and Madison have been doing behind her back?" She mocked and I sighed loudly.

"We haven't done anything except kiss once and it won't happen again."

"I'm not going to tell Ads that," she replied quietly as she ran her hands through her hair. "It isn't my story to tell."

"Thank you." She didn't say anything and I knew she was annoyed with me. I didn't blame her, most of the girls were, and it was only the boys who were on my side.

She walked away and got into the car with Piper who was driving her to the airport and I sighed loudly watching them.

It should have been me going to visit Addison.

I pulled myself together and went to the theatre where I was supposed to be meeting Madison, Spencer and Kevin.

Kevin wasn't that bad as I had realised. He seemed to be a pretty cool person and Spencer was fond of him.

We were seated watching the film that Spencer wanted and we were all wearing 3D glasses.

The movie was intensifying creepy and I hated it.

Addison loved things like this though.

Spender and Kevin excused themselves to get some treats but I just thought they were just too afraid. Madison looked at me and slid towards the seats, sitting next to me.

"Such wimps," she said and I chuckled.

She slipped her hand in mine and I laced our fingers together.

"It isn't like we need them when you have me," I replied a she looked up at me.

"You said you didn't like me," she whispered and I sighed loudly because I knew that I had hurt her a lot which she really didn't deserve.

"I'm sorry okay but I had to."

"No you didn't."

"I did. I couldn't let anyone think that there was something going on between us," I said and she sighed loudly.

"You can't keep toying with my feelings," she said quietly.

She looked upset and I didn't even know what to say to her.

"I'm sorry but you have to believe me when I say that, that is not my intention. I seriously don't intend to keep doing this."

She sighed and squeezed my hand. "Whatever happens between us has to stay between us for now. You can't go around telling anyone-"

"I have never done that. Do you really think I like sneaking around with you?" she questioned and I sighed.

"I'm sorry."

"So you freaking should be," she mumbled.

When Kevin and Spencer returned, they didn't make a comment about us but our hands stayed locked together.

Throughout the movie, I kept watching Madison.

I smiled when she looked terrified by the horrifying moments on the screen. I just squeezed he hand, reassuring her that I was here.

I knew that this was wrong. Anyone with a half brain would know that but the attraction between us was too strong to deny. I was sick of ignoring it and it was time to act upon my feelings.

When the movie ended, Madison pulled her hand away as we all got up.

"What do we do now?" Madison asked.

"I want to steal Spence," Kevin replied and Spencer blushed.

"Its fine we can be alone another time," Spencer replied.

Either she didn't want to be alone with him or she didn't trust Madison and me.

"We'll be fine," I whispered in Spencer's ear. "I promise nothing will happen."

Eventually Spencer agreed and her and Kevin left.

"What did you say to her?" Madison asked and I looked at her.

"What are you talking about?"

"You know," she replied.

"I just told her that nothing would happen between us."

She rolled her eyes as she began walking away from mean I followed her. "Mads-"

"I hate this," she said.

"I know I hate it too-"

"Oh really? You hate it?" She mocked. "Because it looks like you have done this before."

I rolled my eyes because I was feeling offended. It was like she was just making fun of me or accusing me of cheating before when I had never done that.

"I have never cheated on Ads."

"You just kissed me the other day," she snapped and I sighed.

"I'm sorry okay."

"You keep apologising Chase and I don't even want to hear it anymore."

I knew she was mad at me and I knew I needed to fix it.

I knew she loved feeding ducks even though all our friends made fun of it. It did mean a lot to her when someone told her that they'd go with her.

"We are going somewhere," I said as I grabbed her hand and left the theatre.

"Going where?" she snapped.

"We are going to feed the ducks." She raised her eyebrows at me and I smiled at her, kissinger lips.

She returned it but then pulled away. "Don't you feel guilty?" she whispered against my lips and I tensed.

"Of course I do."

"It doesn't feel like it."

"I can't help the way I feel toward you Madison." She gave me a small smile and leaned forward to peck my lips.

"I can't help the way I feel towards you too," she replied  I smiled at her.

"So are you going to feed those ducks by the pond with me or not?"

She smiled as a small blush formed on her cheeks and I knew that the answer was a yes.

"Hey." I looked up at Joel and gave him a nod.

"Hi."

"You'll never guess what," he said and I raised my eyebrows at him.

"What?"

"Me and Leticia." I gasped loudly as I just stared at him in disbelief. I couldn't believe that Joel and Leticia were finally together.

"Oh my God are you being serious?" I asked and he laughed as he nodded his head.

"Yep, me and Leticia are totally together."

"Wow." I couldn't think of anything else to say except for that but I really was happy for both of them.

"Look I have to go okay I just came to tell you that," he replied and I smiled at him, nodding my had.

He had come to my house just to tell me that which was ridiculous but he knew that I was rooting for them from the beginning.

I lied down on my bed as I let my thoughts run wild. I realised that I really was hurting Addison and that my interactions with Madison needed to stop.

I was lying on my bed when Addison joined me.

She was wearing my t-shirt and her legs were showing. Her hair was a mess but I loved it that way. She looked care free and that was when she looked best.

We had the house to ourselves and we didn't want to do anything so we were just laying in bed together.

Our hands were intertwined and I was tracing patterns on the the palm of her hand as she did the same to me.

"Addison," I said and she looked at me.

"Yeah?" She looked up at me and I cupped her chin as I pecked her lips.

"I will never hurt you."

A smile appeared on her lips as she kissed my cheek. "I appreciate that but you can't say that," she whispered in my ear and I chuckled.

"Okay then, I will never hurt you intentionally."

She chuckled as she turned over so she was lying on top of me as she kissed my lips again.

"That sounds better and more doable."

I just tucked loose strands of her hair behind her ear before cupping the back other neck to reconnect our lips.

"I will never intentionally hurt you either Chase," she replied and I smiled at her.

I couldn't believe that I was doing what I had told her I was never going to do.

I was hurting my girlfriend by having these inappropriate feelings for her one of her best friends.

Fuck my life.
