CHAPTER 16

I held Addison in my arms even though she was asleep and she told me to leave.

She had basically cried herself to sleep and I felt my heart drop once I saw her in so much pain. I had never seen her like this and it was a state I never wanted to see her in ever again.

Slowly, she started stirring in her sleep and I stroked her hair.

I got my phone and texted Spencer telling her to bring the breakfast that she made up in here.

Addison's eyes opened and looked at me. She gasped and sat up. "What are you doing in here?" she asked and I sighed.

"Addie-"

"Did you sleep with me?" She asked and I sighed. "Did you or did you not sleep with me against my will?"

She was making it sound like I was some kind of perv.

Since all the years that I knew her, she had never acted like this with me. I didn't even know how to respond to her comment.

Spencer walked inside and looked at me. "He slept in the guest room, I slept with you," she said and Addison didn't say anything.

She got up and went to the bathroom, locking the door.

Spencer placed the tray on the bedside table before looking at me. "Her head is all over the place you have no idea what Madison and Piper said to her with Leticia there with a massive grin on her face. They tore her down," she whispered so that Addison didn't hear us.

"What about Jade?" I asked, matching her tone.

"At first she was a dog but she followed us when we left and cried with Addison when she was crying."

I sighed because I didn't understand why girls had to be so mean.

Addison walked back out and looked at us. "Are you guys going to the fundraiser?" she asked quietly.

"Yeah," Spencer replied. "Are you coming?"

"No," she said quietly.

"You can't let them get to you," I said and she ignored me.

"I haven't asked you for your advice Chase," she snapped and I nodded my head. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her cheek.

"I love you," I said and she sighed.

"I love you more."

I smiled once I realised she was still her old self. "Not possible," I said and she smiled at me.

"I'm sorry I've been weird," she said quietly and cupped her chin.

"Ignore whatever those bitches said to you Addie, they are jealous of you and I will be damned to have them ruin your last day here. It isn't even a day it's practically a few hours."

"I'm fine," she insisted and I sighed.

"You're not-"

"I'll talk to her," Spencer said and I nodded my head, leaving them to it.

I walked into the kitchen where Isabella was washing a few dishes. "Morning."

She turned to look at me and said "morning." I put the kettle on and she sighed. "How is she?"

"She doesn't want to go to the fundraiser," I replied.

"I thought she was planning to go?" It was supposed to be a statement but it came out as a question. That was exactly how I was feeling when I first found out.

"She was but those girls really tore her down." She sighed as she dried her hands before turning around to look at me.

"She should ignore them."

"I know but it's hard when they are her best friends."

"They aren't her best friends if they are hurting her like this," she replied in an obvious tone and I nodded my head, agreeing with her.

"You know she used to be head cheerleader," I told her and she smiled, nodding her head.

"I figured with her body and her attitude."

I chucked as I nodded my head. "That is true," I said.

"I'll talk to her once you and Spence leave to the fundraiser. I'll try and get her to come." I smiled at her and nodded my head.

"I'm glad she has you, Luciana and Shane," I told her and she smiled at me. "I can see how close you both are."

"I guess you could say that," she replied and I smiled at her.

"Please look out for her. She tends to put other people before herself and sometimes she forgets about herself. She always says she's fine but she isn't. You just need to keep pushing and show her that you're there for her and she'll cry on your shoulder." She smiled and nodded her head.

"I will."

"Thank you."

"You seriously don't have to thank me," she replied.

Spencer walked inside and looked at us. "Is she still not coming?"

"No," she replied and I sighed. I really hoped that Spencer was able to convince her but it clearly didn't work.

"I'm not going to enjoy today then," I admitted and she gave me a hug which I returned

"Don't worry then that will make two of us," she replied trying lighten the mood and I chuckled.

She walked over to Isabella and hugged her, kissing her cheek. "I'll come over at three when it's finished and we'll hang out till you guys need to leave okay?" Isabella nodded her head and then Spencer walked over to me as we left the house.

"What did she say?" I asked instantly.

"She's mad at the girls and she doesn't want to go because she doesn't what happened to repeat itself."

"I hate them," I said and she gave me a small smile.

"I know but you need to be strong for Addison she needs you right now."

I sighed because that was true and I was going to be there for her no matter what.

"Where's Addie?" Jade asked me and I shrugged my shoulders. "You obviously know," she retorted and I shrugged my shoulders again.

"I don't have to tell you anything."

"Yes you do," she said through gritted teeth.

"Are you kidding me right now? With the way you all upset her last night?"

"Calm down Chase, I told you remember it wasn't Jade," Spencer said and we both looked at her.

Oh yeah, she did tell me that, I just forgot about that.

"She isn't coming," Spencer said as she looked at Jade who bit her lip. She sighed as she then looked at me.

"Because of last night?"

"Yeah," Spencer quietly said and she sighed loudly.

"Where are they anyway?" I snapped, not being able to stop myself.

"Don't talk to them," Spencer advised but I just shrugged it off like I always did. She always did try to look out for me.

"She didn't even say a word last night, she just cried herself to sleep," I said, looking at Jade who looked upset.

Spencer wrapped her arms around Jade who returned the embrace. "Thanks a lot jade," I said and she scoffed loudly.

"How is any of this my fault?"

"You shouldn't have made a big deal out of the fact that she hadn't contacted you because maybe then Ads wouldn't have made it her mission to come and visit your stupid asses-"

"Chase," Spencer said as she looked at me.

"No, Spencer they all hurt her. I don't care if Jade is fine with her now, Jade still hurt her too and do you really think Addison is going to easily forget it?"

Spencer glared at me silently telling me to shut up but I wasn't listening.

"Seriously Chase just shut up, Addison wouldn't want you here saying stuff like this would she? Yes Jade shouldn't have did what she did, but Addison has forgiven her for it-"

"That's her problem, she forgives way too much and her forgiving Jade is a mistake-"

"Well it is her mistake to make Chase!" Spencer snapped and I knew she was annoyed by my currently attitude. "If Addison wants to forgive Jade or the others then she will and not you or anyone else can stop her. You seriously have no right to say these stuff to Jade so why don't you just take a minute to clear your head?"

I sighed before nodding my head.

She pulled away from Jade to give me a hug before walking away with Jade.

This fundraiser would be a long day.
