15|Addison

CHAPTER 15

Time was going so slow.

All I was doing was staring out of the window looking at the clouds.

Spencer and Chase were sitting at the back of the jet because he was helping her set up the fundraiser that would take place on Monday.

I was sitting with Isabella but she was looking at her phone.

It was weird that Isabella was the one with me when I thought it would be Shane like he said. He said he couldn't make it this time though when I called him.

"What would happen if we just fell?" I asked and Isabella looked at me, silently asking me if I was serious.

"Why would would you even think about something like that?"

I shrugged my shoulders and she slipped her phone into her pocket before intertwining her fingers with mine. "There's nothing to be scared of."

"Who said I was scared?"

"It's written all over your face," she replied and I rolled my eyes. She pulled me towards her and I cuddled to her side. "I'm right there and I'm not going to let anything happen to you okay?"

"Okay," I mumbled.

"Shane just texted me," she said and I looked at her.

"What did he say?"

"Just wanted to know how you were feeling." I nodded my head and she smiled.

"Do you like Spencer?" I asked quietly and she sighed.

"Yes."

"I didn't know you were into girls."

"I don't really label myself, I'm into guys and girls," she replied shrugging her shoulders.

"That means you're bisexual dumbass," I mocked and she rolled her eyes at me.

"I have no idea why I even put up with you," she muttered and I chuckled at her reaction.

"What happens tomorrow when we have to come back and Spence has to stay?" I asked and she sighed loudly. "Do you move on? Carry on hooking up with other people?"

"I don't know," she said quietly.

"You better not hurt her."

"I know," she said quietly. "You're giving me that speech but that isn't fair because I'm your friend too." She looked upset and I smiled at her, leaning over to kiss her cheek.

"Spence!" spencer looked at me and got up, sitting opposite us.

"What?" She said as she looked at both of us and I sat up.

"You know Isabella's a very good friend of mine, practically my new best friend." Isabella chuckled and Spencer raised her eyebrows at me. "So you better not hurt her-"

"Addison I'm your best friend!"

"I already gave her the speech," I said motioning towards Isabella who rested her head on my shoulder and Spencer smiled.

"You're a retard you know that?" Spencer joked.

"Hey, don't say that about my best friend," Isabella replied and I smirked at her.

"Yeah," I replied immaturely.

"Are you seriously this bored Addie?" She asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah I'm really bored," I mumbled. "I just want to land already."

"Well Isabella can entertain you, not me. I have stuff to do," she winked at me before leaving and I scoffed.

"Great, just me and you," I said, looking at Isabella who hummed in agreement.

"Are you close with your parents?" She asked me and I shrugged my shoulders.

"I used to be, I haven't been that close to them since we moved."

"Do you seriously hate it that much?" She asked curiously.

"Yeah," I said quietly and she sat up, pulling away from me. "I didn't even mean it like that." She raised her eyebrows at me and I sighed loudly. "Yes I do hate it but you can't blame me. I grew up in Boston and all of a sudden I have to leave but anyway, you, Shane and Luciana are making it bearable and I love you guys for that."

A small smile appeared on her lips and she rested her head back on my shoulder.

"Are you close with your parents?" I asked curiously and she didn't say anything. "Don't get mad," I started and she looked up at me. "But Luciana told me some stuff about your home life-"

She didn't even wait for me to finish, she just ran to the bathroom and I quickly followed her before she could lock the door.

"What's going on?" Chase asked as him and Spencer looked at me. I had my foot trapping the door from closing.

"Nothing," I said before kicking the door and Isabelle glared at me.

"Leave me alone," she hissed and I locked the door.

"You are not going to shut me out," I said calmly and she sighed. I regretted bringing Luciana into this but Isabella was going to find out either way.

"What did the bitch tell you?"

"That is not fair," I replied and she rolled her eyes at me.

"Tell me," she demanded.

"She told me about your dad and your brother and your alcoholic mother."

"Great," she sarcastically muttered as she sat down on the closed toilet lid. I sighed before kneeling down in front of her. "You probably pity me now don't you?"

"I don't pity you, I want to help," I said and she laughed bitterly.

"You can't help me, no one can," she snapped and I rolled my eyes at her. "You don't understand how messed up my life is."

"You have a nice house," I said and she glared at me. That was the wrong thing to say.

"You think I actually care about that? That means nothing to me, it's just a house that my dad bought when my brother was born. I need a fucking job-"

"You're probably loaded why would you need job?" She sighed as she looked at me with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"I can't access my money until I go to college and my mother isn't paying the bills, you know I pay them?"

"Luce didn't tell me that."

"She doesn't know, no one does," she whispered as she started crying.

I sighed as I wrapped my arms around her and she hid her face into my chest. I stroked her hair as I held her tightly. "I can give you money-"

"I'm not a charity case," she snapped.

"I didn't say that, I'm trying to help you," I said quietly and she pulled away from me.

"I don't want your money I don't want anything from you."

"Stop being so stubborn," I said and she rolled her eyes. "I want you to know that my home is your home." She had more tears streaming down her face but I wiped them away. "Anytime you want anything, my door will always be open and my entire family love you, just like I do."

"Ads don't say that and then leave-"

I sighed because Luciana warned me not to get too attached to Isabella if I was planning to leave a while back. "I'm not leaving me promise-"

"You are, you're always determined to go back to Boston."

"Trust me with the parents I have there is no chance I will be going there permanently, they'll be visits and I'll take you with me." She sighed and rested her head on my shoulder. "I'm not going not leave, you need to trust me on that."

"Okay," she whispered and sighed in relief.

"And if you're not accepting my money then we're going to find you a job, an epic one that shows people just how amazing you are."

She smiled and wrapped her arms around my neck and I returned the embrace. "Thanks Addie," she whispered.

"You're welcome."

"Please don't tell Spencer," she said and I nodded my head.

"I won't," I promised and she smiled.

*****

"These are my keys Chase you better look after them. They are literally the only ones that I have." I was giving him my keys because Spencer and I were going over to Jade's house first.

"Jheez just trust me," he replied and I rolled my eyes.

"You are definitely coming back right?" Isabella said, looking at me. I knew she needed me right now and I couldn't just leave her.

"Yep, I can't leave you can I?" I teased and she smiled.

"Are you coming back too?" She asked Spencer who nodded her head

"We'll be back soon, you should get some sleep," I said and she nodded her head.

"Can I sleep in your room?" She asked quietly.

Chase and Spencer knew that she had been crying but didn't pester us for answers.

"Sure, Chase will show you where it is." She nodded her head and walked away with Chase.

"You two seem close," Spencer said as we walked to Isabella's house.

"Yeah we are," I said quietly.

"Why was she crying?" She asked and sighed.

"I can't tell you Spence, she doesn't way you knowing." She looked offended as she stopped walking and turned to look at me.

"Meaning?"

"Meaning, she doesn't want you thinking less of her. Your opinion means an awful lot to her." Spencer sighed and I wrapped my arm over her shoulder. "It isn't dramatic it's just her family life."

"Her mother is a dog," she said and I looked at her.

"What?"

"The day I came over to her house, our last day, her mother got drunk and started shouting at Isabella, saying stuff like she should have died instead of Isaac before storming out but she refused to talk about it."

So that was what they were hiding when Luciana and I came over.

I sighed because I really did feel sorry Isabella.

"She'll be fine, I'll take care of her okay?" She smiled at me and nodded her head. "Can you please look out for Chase? I'm not saying I won't look out for Bells if you refused-"

"I get it Addie and I already do that," she said with a smirk on her face, "you're so cute when you ramble."

I rolled my eyes at her as we turned a corner.

We stopped at Jade's doorstep and I sighed.

"I think I should talk to her first and you should hide for now." She was giving me a look that told me to along with her idea.

"Fine," I replied as I shrugged my shoulders

I leaned my back against a wall so I could hear their conversation but Jade wouldn't be able to see me.

"Ring it," I said and she rang Jade's doorbell.

Jade's house was in a quiet neighbourhood. Both of her parents were lawyers and bought a huge house. She was one spoiled brat but then again she was an only child.

"What do you want?" Jade said rudely.

"We need to talk."

"No we don't."

"We seriously need to talk to you."

"And who's we? It's only you here." I clenched my jaw as I looked at her.

"That would be me," I said as I stood beside Spencer with my hood up and Jade gasped. She was about to hug me but stopped herself. "Jade you can hug me you know."

"Maybe I don't want to," she replied and I rolled my eyes before pushing the door open slightly and walked inside with Spencer following me. "I didn't invite you dogs inside."

"Oh don't worry about it we don't need an invite."

Jade clenched her jaw and stared at us, me in particular.

"Why are you here Addison?"

"I came to see you guys-"

"We don't want to see you," Piper said as she walked down the stairs with Madison and a girl with blonde hair. I was guessing she was Leticia judging by the descriptions Spencer and Chase gave me.

"Just go back to wherever it was that you came from," Madison retorted.

"Shut up," Spencer snapped and they rolled their eyes.

"No one wants you here, you left once Addison go and do it again," Piper added.

"Exactly but you don't care about that because you are one selfish little brat who always gets what she wants huh? We're no longer your friends and I want you to meet our best friend Leticia Dean. She's ten times the person you ever were bitch, so I suggest you leave and never come back because we are officially done with you," Madison finished.

There was an awkward silence in the room and I couldn't be there anymore so I walked out of the house. "Wait!" Spencer yelled and grabbed my hand.

"What Spencer?" I asked quietly. She sighed as she wrapped her arms around me and I allowed my tears to flow freely. She wiped them away and kissed my cheek.

"They're dogs and-"

"I get it Spence," I said, wiping my tears. "I thought I could charm them with my words but it wouldn't work."

"You charmed me with you appearance," Jade said as she joined us.

"Look at her Jade, she's fucking crying her eyes out and she never cries!" Spencer yelled and Jade flinched. "Go back to Leticia-"

"Spence can we go?" I asked quietly wiping my tears and Jade sighed before wrapping her arms around my neck and I sighed before hiding my face into her neck.

"Addie they didn't mean it I promise, they're just upset-"

"And what about her?" Spencer retorted.

"I'm fine," I replied.

"You're not," Jade said once she pulled away from me, pulling my hood down and stroked my hair. "I'm sorry about our phone call but you hurt us Addison and I know it isn't right to hurt you like this. I don't agree with what they're doing. I love you and I'm glad you came to visit even if it was just for a second because I got to see your beautiful face."

More tears flowed down my cheeks and Jade sighed before giving me another hug. She kissed my forehead before holding me tightly. "I miss you," I mumbled into her neck and she sighed as she began crying.

"I miss you more Addie," she replied as she pulled away with tears.

"Oh God look at you two," joked Spencer and we smiled.

"How long are you staying?" Jade asked.

"I only stay the night," I replied. "I leave tomorrow evening."

"You're coming to the fundraiser right?" I nodded my head and she sighed in relief. "Thank God."

My phone rang and it was Chase. "Spence we need to go," I said and she nodded her head.

"I love you," I said looking at Jade and wiped her tears. "Don't cry Jade I'm not worth your tears."

"Don't say that Addison, you are worth my tears and I cried myself to sleep every single day."

"Jade." I sighed before wrapping my arms around her neck and she kissed my cheek.

"I love you too Addie, I always have and I always will," she replied and I smiled. My phone rang again so I pulled away from her.

"Spence we really need to go, Chase is driving me nuts." They both laughed and I dried my tears before drying Jade's. "I'll see you tomorrow and no tears." She gave me a sad smile and nodded her head.

"Come on," I said, looking at Spencer and walked away. She draped her arm over my shoulder and pulled me closer to her.

The walk to my house was quick and we got there in no time.

"You guys took your time," commented Chase but his face fell once he saw me. "What's wrong

I didn't say anything and walked into my room to fine Isabella lying on her stomach on her phone. "I forgot you were in here," I said and she sat up.

"What's happened?" she asked.

"Nothing, Spence can just sleep here with you and I'll sleep in the guest room."

I opened my closet and got some pyjamas out. "Ads, talk to me-"

"Not now," I replied before leaving and walked into the guest room.

Chase walked inside but I told him to leave. "No Ads-"

"I want to be alone," I said through gritted teeth. He wouldn't move so I pushed him out and closed the door, allowing myself to cry.
