Famous Encounter

Sarah never came into homeroom, but that didn't shock me. She was probably with a teacher or a meeting for PREP.

I took the boys from class to class throughout the morning. I thought that I might get annoyed, or tired of it, but I didn't. I loved spending time with them. Cory was hilarious and with Issac he was even worse. Sutton was pretty quiet, but he was nice and even though Issac wasn't in my History class, Sutton was. I shared history with Harrison and John, which would be interesting. Actually both classes I shared with Harrison, Issac wasn't in and honestly I was relieved. I didn't need them together anymore than necessary. Speaking of which, it was lunchtime and I was going to have to introduce them.

Issac and I wandered down the hall to collect Cory and Sutton who both had been in Modern Civilizations class. The flow of student's wasn't too rough and we were able to talk without having to shout.

"What'd you think of my friends?" Issac asked and I smiled.

"They're great, although... Sutton is a little on the quite side." I said and Issac chuckled.

"Yeah he's like that when a camera isn't on him." Issac replied, shaking his head and I nodded.

"I thought he looked familiar when I saw, he likes being in your videos then?" I asked Issac scoffed."

"Oh jeez, that kid would never be in one of my videos, not without the wrath of his father and a dozen others." Issac laughed, like he was expecting me to laugh with him, but when he saw the confusion on my face he stopped "You know who Suts is don't you?" he asked.

"Yeah he's your friend." I replied with a shrug and Issac shook his head.

"Well yeah, but Sutton- Sutton Winters is the son of Senator Winters, you know the guy who's running for President in 2020?"

I almost dropped all books that I was carrying.

Sutton wasn't just any Sutton. He was Sutton Winters, son of Senator Winters, future candidate for the President of the United States of America.

And I had shared a lift to school with him.

I was on a nickname-basis with him!

Suddenly it all clicked though, why his name was familiar and why I thought I recognized him when I got in the car. He had been on the news countless of times. Well shit. I was going to be walking into lunch with two YouTube stars and a Senators son today. No chance of going unnoticed.

"Damn." I muttered, not realizing that Issac and I had stopped walking. Issac swung his arm over my shoulder as he chuckled; he pushed me to start moving again.

We were almost where I had told Cory and Sutton where we would meet them, but I noticed a gaggle of girls at the end of the hallway. They speaking in frantic, hushed words and one of them was pointing at Issac and I.

Suddenly, I was nervous, like I usually got when there was attention on me. I flattened out my hair and tried not to bit my nail. Issac was talking to me, but I had no idea what he was saying. It was clear he hadn't seen the girls yet.

Deep breaths Monty, you knew this would happen

He's famous. People know who he is.

I just had to hope that they would ignore us as we walked by and wouldn't be bold enough to jump out at him.

I was mistken.

"Excuse me," the boldest girl spoke up with a clear air of confidence that would make most people choke.

Issac stopped his ramblings and turned towards her. He smiled politely as though he knew what was coming, but also subtly shifted a little closer to me.

"Are you Issac Rush? The..." she looked over her shoulder at her friends who giggled behind their hands, one of them even had their phone out filming the whole thing, and then back towards him, "The YouTuber?"

Issac chuckled gently and his smile was so charming the girl blushed under his green gaze. I wanted to smack that flirty gleam right out of her eyes.

"Yes, I am."

"I knew it! Oh my god, can I take a picture with you? I love your videos." She already had her phone in her hand and was pushing in my direction without even looking at me.

Ugh, the nerve of this girl! Issac wasn't just someone famous to exploit. People like her were the reason he had started being homeschooled to begin with. Now, his first day back in high school the vultures were sweeping in again. He was a real person who smiled, laughed, loved.

Before I could stop myself, I had grabbed Issac's hand and yanked him away from her.

"Actually, Issac is trying to keep a low profile here. Trying to be a normal student, you know? So he won't be taking any pictures. Now we gotta go." My tone was sickly sweet and the smile I gave her couldn't have been more sarcastic, but I dragged Issac away from her as fast as I could.

I looked over at him out of the corner of my eye and he was looking at me, a devious little smile on his face. I stumbled to a stop.

"What?" I snapped a little quickly.

He tried to smother his smile.

"Nothing."

I had been way out of line back there. Way, way out of line. What if he had wanted to take a picture with that girl? What if I had costed him a fan?

I narrowed my eyes at him. Had he wanted a picture with her?

"Does that happen to you a lot?" I asked.

"What? Being dragged away from a fan by an even bigger fan?"

Crap.

My cheeks blushed. I'd almost forgot for a moment that this all started because I had been just like that girl myself. In love with the screen version of Issac, but things had changed somewhere along the way.

All this time I had been saying that he was my celebrity crush, but he wasn't just a celebrity to me any more. He was Issac. My friend, my...

Oh god.

I swallowed.

"I'm sorry. I, shouldn't have done that. I have no right--"

He stepped closer. So close I could feel the heat radiating off his body and I shivered.

"On the contrary," he whispered, "I was hoping, that you do have the right."

Something stirred in my chest. I couldn't process his words. I couldn't breath properly.

Shit. Was he... was he gonna kiss me?

"There you guys are!" Cory's boisterous voice echoed through the empty hall. It shattered the delicate atmosphere around Issac and I. Issac looked away from me, but didn't step back. I felt my eyes close in relief. I wasn't sure what had been about to happen, but whatever it was I was relieved I didn't have to face it like the coward I was.

Cory immediately started talking and I was grateful. It broke the awkwardness between Issac and I.

I also realized that Cory was pretty much always talking. Sutton added a few words here and there about the class along the way. Apparently they both enjoyed it.

I couldn't be more grateful.

We entered the lunchroom and people were still milling about. That was good because it meant we made no sudden entrance. No more confident lower-class-men I would have to scare away. I immediately started heading for table in the middle of the room. Everyone of its residence was already seated. Except for me. We would have to pull up some chairs to get the boys some space. As I approached with Issac on one side, Cory on the other and Sutton just behind I felt like a freaking movie star. Penny who had been conversing with Christina glanced my way and then dropped her jaw.

"Hey guys," I said dropping my bag on my chair between Penny and Harrison and grabbing some money out of the front pocket, "these are my buddies Issac, Cory and Sutton." I gestured to each in turn "Mind if they join us?" I asked.

Everyone shook their heads.

I smiled,"Guys these are my friends Penny, Christina, Finn, Harrison and then John and Liana." Everyone greeted each other in varying forms

"Hey, what's up?" Harrison smiled at the guys and then turned his attention to me.

Christina was eyeing Sutton and I had no doubt she knew who he was. Christina was a politician and Christina never forgot a face. Sutton however wasn't looking at her, he was looking at Liana as she eyed Issac. My heart leapt into my throat.

Liana shifted her eyes from Issac to me and she smiled. I knew she was just finding this situation so funny. She had seen Issac and I, had threatened to tell Harrison what she had seen. Not that Issac and I had been doing anything wrong.

"You buying lunch today Tana?" Harrison asked me and I nodded. He reached for my waist to pull me closer to him (and probably get a kiss), but I side stepped it and then laughed a little awkwardly.

I have no idea why I dodged Harrison's embrace.

I had never done that before and when I looked up I saw that a couple people were giving me a weird look and Issac was included in them.

I smiled and asked the others to find some chairs while I took the guys on line to buy lunch.

"Luckily the line isn't too long because of a school trip I think with the juniors. The foods okay here though, used to be crap, but last year we got this new food service and chef and now it's like so good. I recommend the specials, today its mac n' cheese." I say as we take our place in line. I gestured to the rest of the room.

My mission was to talk about as much pointless stuff as possible to avoid anything major coming up.

"This is the CAFF," I continued "We students call it the Control Area For Food, but really everyone just calls it the CAFF though. You get stuff here in the mornings before homeroom and for ten minutes after school if you're going to be stuck here for a while, but you can also order take out to the school if you're in an after school club or something. The local pizza and Chinese places deliver to the academy, you pick it up at the gym door."

I'm babbling.

My emotions are swirling.

I'm thinking about how close Issac is to me.

I'm worried about Liana.

For some reason I don't want Issac to know Harrison is my boyfriend.

I still haven't seen Sarah today and I have yet to talk to her about what Christina said about her and Finn.

The thought she could cheat on Jonas makes me sick.

Dillon was one of the sweetest boys I knew and he loved Sarah. I was sure of it and I was sure Sarah loved him too.

Then again up until a couple weeks ago I would have been sure Sarah wouldn't have ditched me multiple times and lectured me like I was a toddler because I went out with some friends.

The guys order their food and we headed back to the table. I took my seat next to Harrison warily as the others settled into the new seats. Issac was on the next to Liana and Penny. Sutton and Cory were next to Finn and John.

"Look at you Tiny, making new friends... you trying to replace me?" he asked with a grin and a twinkle in his eye. I laughed.

"That's right, I put an ad in the paper. These are the final contestants." I said taking a bite of the mac n' cheese.

Finn threw his head back and laughed, I chuckled and shook my head.

I almost jumped when I felt Harrison's hand on my thigh and looked at him. He smiled at me and I smiled back. He leaned closer.

"Did you get your dress yet?" He whispered, his breath warming my ear and I shivered, my eyes fluttering.

"What?" I managed to get out, he chuckled and his lips brushed my ear again.

"Your dress, for the Snow Ball?" he clarified and I could he the playful tone in his voice. My cheeks warmed.

"Oh uh, no not yet I-" he pulled back so he could look me in the eye and cut me off.

"Can I come with you to pick it out? You could model the options for me, I could even help you put them on." he asked with a little grin and I smiled, blushing.

"Absolutely not, it has to be a surprise." I said and he groaned, dropping his forehead to rest on mine and shutting his eyes. I laughed and glanced up over his shoulder, but my laughter died as I met grey eyes over his shoulder.

John leaned back in his chair, a glare on his face. We hadn't spoken since he basically told me to shut up and get lost because my boyfriend was gonna break my heart.

Then he did something, which surprised me.

He shook his head and sighed, the scowl falling off his face and he turned to get in on the conversation Cory and Finn were having.

My eyebrows furrowed, but then I felt a soft kiss on my neck and my attention snapped back to Harrison who was still leaning on me. I forced a smile and pushed him off, my stomach flipping.

I saw Issac gripping his fork tightly. His brows furrowed.

And it completely summersaulted and rolled out of my body when I heard Liana's voice.

"So, Issac are you guys going to the Snow Ball?" she asked, everyone at the table put their own conversations on hold to join in on this one. She was smiling, elbows resting on the table and chin resting on her hands. Her brown eyes were warm and he golden blonde falling over her shoulders.

"Um, I'm not sure what is it?" he asked and Liana giggled.

"It's a school winter dance, pretty big deal you know? You might have seen the posters up around the school."

"Do you need a date?" Cory piped up, looking eager. Penny shrugged.

"Not really, but most people do. We all have dates," she said gesturing around the table. I watched Issac's eyes slide to me again and the usual sparkle in his was dim. He cleared his throat.

Harrison put his hand on my thigh and I jerked at it's contact. He looked at me weird and then put it around the back of my chair instead.

"Hey Monty is someone bothering you?" Iassac's voice rose up over the chit-chat that had been going on at the table. His gaze was fiercely focused on Harrison, his jaw clenched. Harrison just looked confused.

And I, I was sure I looked sick.

"What? No. No of course not."

"You sure?"

"Dude what is your problem?" Harrion's voice reverberated from behind me.

"My problem? You're the one touching her when she clearly doesn't want it." Issac snapped and I had never in my whole entire life felt like I was falling than I did right then.

"Issac..." I managed  to whisper, but he didn't look at me right away.

"What are you talking about? I can touch her all I want." he snapped and as if to prove a point I felt Harrison tug me closer to him so I was practically in his lap.

Issac looked about ready to fly out of his chair, but Harry wasn't done.

He grinned, more challenging than I had ever seen him.

All I knew was that my heart was pounding and I felt dread. Pure, black, dread.

"Tana's my girlfriend." He said and before I could say anything he kissed me.

In front of everyone.

In front of Issac.

A/N- OMG YES! Our boys met!

So this chapter had some major editing compared to it's original form and things are definitely a little more heated than before, but I think I like it better. A lot more tension and drama ;)

Where are my Issac fans?

Where are my Harrison fans?

Are there any other ships out there?

Please tell me what you think! I appreciate every read, comment, and vote beyond words!
