(Two Birds on a Wire AU,an AU of Learning with Pibby AU)

Two birds on a wire.

ShadowMoth recounted what Star Clan had said. Rosie nodded along as he kept recounting.

"One tries to fly away. And the other watches him close from that wire."

He recounted. "I wonder what that wire means." He said. Rosie had listened to this song. "I may have an idea,but I don't think StarClan wants me to tell you." ShadowMoth looked confused. "Why wouldn't they want me to know?" Rosie had a sad look on her face. "Because if you did,you'd give up right here and right now."

She says she wants to as well,But she is a liar.

Rosie preened her wings while looking at ShadowMoth's Miraculous. Then she realized. 2 birds. She had Owl wings,he had the Peacock Miraculous! If only she knew who would be staying on that wire....

I'll believe it all! There's nothing I won't understand.

Rosie defended ShadowMoth from the large shadow creature who had been terrorizing him. "See? I told you I'd believe you." Rosie smiled at him. ShadowMoth had a tiny smile on his face. "Yeah....it was probably nothing to you." He chuckled.

I'll believe it all! I won't let go of your hand!

Rosie grabbed her brothers hand to help pull him up from the ledge. She accidentally fell off herself,but was grabbed herself. Who grabbed her? ShadowMoth. Rosie smiled. "Ay! Thanks!" ShadowMoth nodded and pulled the two over the ledge,and Rosie giving a fist bump to ShadowMoth.

Rosie sat next to ShadowMoth on thr bench. "You know,I think I figured out who the two birds are." Rosie said. "Really?" ShadowMoth asked. "Yeah,me and you. I have owl wings,I have a bird like trait,and you have the Peacock Miraculous,which a Peacock is a type of bird." Rosie said. ShadowMoth nodded in understanding.

One says "C'mon!" and the other says "I'm tired..."

Rosie was dragged out of bed by ShadowMoth. "Dude....Really?" She growled. "You have to eat breakfast Rosie! I'm not letting you go hungry." Rosie chuckled. "Alright....Alright....fine..." ShadowMoth chuckled to himself. Today,the roles were reversed. Usually,Rosie would wake him up.

The sky is overcast and I'm sorry.

Rosie looked out at the rain outside. She felt guilty for not telling ShadowMoth the full truth about the Prophecy. She knew it would kill him to tell him....So she had to keep it a secret. For him.

"One more or one less,Nobody's worried."

Rosie said this to ShadowMoth about her and her classmates. No one really cared about her,so when the Glitch came around and she wasn't there that day to go the Miraculous,no one batted an eye. ShadowMoth was worried. How long had this kid been without someone to care for her?

Rosie and ShadowMoth had grown really close. Despite their very different ages,they were best friends. Rosie knew this would hurt him if this prophecy turned to be true. Rosie had a guilt deep inside of her heart. ShadowMoth knew this. The Butterfly Miraculous indicated as such. Why she felt guilty,well,the Miraculous nor the Kwami would tell.

Rosie stood at the edge of the pavement. She looked down in guilt. She knew deep down,who would be staying on that wire. She sighed. 'ShadowMoth....I hope you can forgive me for this...'

"Two birds of a feather."

Rosie said this to him,recounting her version of the Prophecy to him. He nodded. "Two birds...Me and you. We're best friends. Birds of a feather means that."

"Say that they're always gonna stay together,But one's never going to let go of that wire."

Rosie continued. ShadowMoth seemed puzzled. "What does the wire symbolize? I know that one of us is gonna stay at the wire....but which one of us will it be? And who's staying on the wire?" Rosie fained confusion. "Me too. I wonder as well."

She says she she will, but she's just a  liar.

Rosie knew she was lying to him...but she had too. Rosie had to lie. For his safety. She felt a pang of sour guilt in her chest. Why,StarClan,Why? Why must you make her do this? She doesn't want to be a liar.....

Rosie and ShadowMoth were fighting at the final battle. Rosie and him were back to Back. It was intense. Rosie saw a Corrupted sneaking up on him and Cataclysmed them. ShadowMoth nodded as a thanks.

One tries to fly away!

Rosie and ShadowMoth never left eachother's side during the fight. It would spell death if they did. Rosie knew,that it was time for the Prophecy to be fulfilled. It had to be. Rosie saw a large attack coming for ShadowMoth,so she threw him behind her,and stood in front of the blow.

And the other,Watches him close from that wire!

Rosie collapsed to the ground,coughing up massive amounts of blood. "ShadowMoth....I-i-ill be fine...y-you k-keep fighting..." ShadowMoth nodded and fought on im a rage fuled determination.

She says that she will,But she is a liar!

Rosie knew that her time was up. It was time for her to go. But,to the end...she had to keep lying. It hurt her heart to lie like this. And it hurt even more that lying would cause both her end,and the Prophecy to come true.

ShadowMoth kept fighting on,hoping his best friend would be okay like she said she would. He knew one of them would have to stay on the wire,but he had no clue what the wire ment. And this foolishness would cost him something priceless.

One tries to fly away and the other,Watches him close from that wire!

Rosie coughed up more blood,fighting as best as she can with what little strength she had left. She cried out in agony,her wound was actually killing her. She knew what had to happen,so she didn't even bother to heal herself.

She says she wants to as well, but she is a liar.

ShadowMoth ran over to Rosie when the battle was done. He realized she was dying. He reached for the first aid kit,but Rosie put a hand on his shoulder,shaking her head. It was too late. Tears started falling from his eyes. He knew the full truth now. He knew what the wire ment.

"Two birds on a wire.....One tries to fly away and the other....."

Rosie died before she could finish her sentence. ShadowMoth started sobbing. Why!? Why must his best friend be taken from him!? He cried out in agony. It hurt. It hurt so much.

He was reminded of the pain he felt on that day when he saw a statue in her home town. It depicted Rosie and Him. With Rosie being an Angel watching him from above and him crying. Gabriel sighed.

Watches him close from that wire.

Rosie looked down on Gabriel from Starclan. She put a hand on her heart. "My friend....I am sorry. I want to be with you but I am afraid I will only cause you more pain....I am sorry for everything that happened that day." Rosie saw Gabriel perk as he heard her message. 'Rosie? Please...come and visit me. I miss you. My place is open. Just show up near me and I'll welcome you.'
Rosie smiled. "Thank you,My friend." 'You're welcome.'
