Again and Again
Rosie always noticed patterns. They stuck out to her like a sore thumb. They always did.
So one glaringly obvious pattern stuck out to her as she went through the family photos of the Toulon Family.
The cats of the Toulon Family.
There was always two. A large and fat orange tabby with short fur, and a long furred dark tabby who was always much more skinny.
But it wasn't just that.
They looked identical in every family photo.
Every.
Last.
One.
They looked exactly the same.
And they also looked very familiar.
They looked exactly like....
Monte and Stella.
She looked at the two cats, her eyes wide as she looked back at the most recent family photo of Andre and Elae with their two cats, and then back at her own.
She needed answers.
"DECAPATRON!" She shouted. "GET OVER HERE!"
The familiar small pitter patter of feet rushed to the dinner table, and then clambered up onto it.
"What's got you this worked up?" He asked, concerned.
Rosie wordlessly pointed to his family photo back when he was alive and a human, before pointing to her own cats.
It didn't take long for her to understand.
"...I get it. I noticed that too. They came to you as kittens, and the Orange one was full of worms, wasn't he?" He asked.
Rosie's jaw dropped to the floor. "...w-what do you mean by that?"
"....I suspect that those two cats are resurrective immortals. They may die, but they will always come back for the next generation of the Toulon Family." Decapitron answered.
Rosie smiled a little at that. She couldn't help it.
Because if this pattern were true...that ment that the Toulon family has always had and will always have two amazing kitties.
For the rest of time, even.
