Epilogue

It definitely was an exhausting day for the Toulon twins, as the two now sat side by side the large crick that ran near their house. They had lots and lots of fun celebrating their victory over Anafabula, no matter how temporary it would be. She would come back. That was a fact, she now had a single minded goal set on the Toulon twins, and she would keep coming back until she defeated them.

“....sis.” Rosie looked over at her sister. “....What should we do if we ever get defeated by her?” She asked.

“I dunno.” Holly replied. “I don't think there is much we can do. We’re screwed if that ever happens. We’d end up like Kismet and Karma, wouldn't we?”

“I bet we would, but what would the others do?” Rosie pondered. “What would happen to them?”

“They would most likely be sent back to their respective universes and forget we ever existed.” Holly replied, with a sad tone.

“Then we can't let Anafabula win. Ever.” Rosie stated with a determined tone. “Never.”

“We definitely can't.”

Holly’s statement was cut off by loud quacking and honking. The two sisters laughed as the waterfowl they owned, Lucy, a goose, and Uno and Dos, two ducks, approached them. They always came up to whoever was sitting on the ground, seemingly friendly, but in reality their only goal was to bite and nibble the person.

Holly and Rosie swiftly stood up to avoid getting bitten and nibbled by ducks and a goose, chuckling to themselves.

“I think they want to go in, do they not?” Rosie asked. “It is getting close to their bed time.”

“Yeah, they wanna go in.” Holly chuckled. “Come on, you three. Let's go inside.”

And so, the sisters escorted the waterfowl to their pen on the back porch, before they went inside themselves, ready to head to bed.

Holly took the Reversed Hourglass out of her coat pocket, all of its sand piled neatly on the bottom. It was a trophy of her victory of one of the most unlikely victories Holly had acquired.

And she set it on her desk, next to her rock collection, before getting ready for bed. Holly gazed at the hourglass from her bed, before dozing off.

The chronological order had finally been restored.

THE END.
