The harsh crack of thunder erupted from the heavens, the spiny fingers of the lightning reached out towards the ground and hunted for the prey it could find.

"I don't like it!" Mei lay on the soda with her fleeced blanket pulled tightly up to her chin and her eyes fixated on the small gap between the overlapped curtains. "Aah!" She pulled the cosy blue over her eyes as a whip-like crack fell from the heavens.

"It's just some thunder and lightning." You plucked an extinguished candle from its pool of wax and replaced it with a fresh one before gently lighting the wick and stubbing out the match.

"How long do you think the power will be out?" She asked with glazed eyes. "I hope it's soon..."

The dancing flames brought a certain warmth and glow to the room and cut through the pelting rain and howling winds outside. The power had been gone for about an hour already and there was no sign of it improving any time soon.

"I'm so glad you decided to give snowball some charging ports." The little machine sat humming, almost purring as you scrolled through Twitter hoping for an update on the power. "I'm not so sure, I guess we will just have to wait for it to blow over. We can do a lot of amazing things but so far we haven't found anyone able to stop a storm. I'm sure we can make it through." Mei peeped out from under the blanket. "We're inside, we're safe, there is nothing to fear. You are Mei-Ling Zhou, no... Doctor Mei-Ling Zhou and I know how brave you are."

"But I'm so scared, I don't like the thunder and the lightning." She held her hand out, a comforting Snowball hovered slowly over to her and nestled itself into her glove. "At least I have Snowball here to make sure we have at least some power and light. I don't know what we would do without him here."

"Being scared doesn't mean that you can't also be brave, in fact you kind of have to be scared to be able to rise above it and be brave. I also know that you are one of the bravest people I know, everything you have been through and you're going to let a little thunder and lighting keep you locked down to the couch? Come on, I know you have a few Snowball upgrades you can work on while I be useful and hold the candle for you."
