Siddharth and Abhishek were sitting in the office discussing an important project when a knock was heard on the door. The peon came inside. Abhishek looked at him.

"Sir, Mr. Akash wanted to meet you." He informed. Siddharth was busy reading the file. Abhishek signed him to let him come inside.

"Sir, Sir!" A man of about 35 years came running inside the room in a panick.

"Relax Mr. Akash!" Abhishek ordered seeing him overexcited.

"Sorry Sir!" He apologized as he bowed his head down.

"Why were you in hurry? And why you wanted to meet me ungently?" Asked Abhishek.

"Sir, Sir my wife called me few minutes ago. Sir, It's her delivery time, she was crying in pain Sir but manager isn't allowing me to go. He is saying that he would cut my salary for today. Sir, Sir please help me. Sir, I need to go Sir please." He pleaded joining his hands. Abhishek stood up holding his hands. Siddharth again froze as soon as he heard him.

"It's ok Akash, you can go. I will talk to the manager. No one will cutt your salary but here is your advance, don't worry about anything. You can go, I'll handle everything here." Abhishek consoled him giving him 15000 rupees from his wallet.

"Thank you Sir, thank you!" He thanked rushing out of Abhishek's room in a hurry. Abhishek exhaled sharply sitting on his seat back and looked at Siddharth to find him lost in his own thoughts. The file still opened infront of him. Abhishek shook him.

"Ashu! Where are you lost?" Asked Abhishek.

"No, nowhere. Let's continue from where we left." Siddharth spoke coming out of his thoughts. Abhishek sensed something was wrong and he also knew the reason but he didn't wanted his brother to feel more insecure that's why he didn't talked about that topic again.

Siddharth opened the door by the key and entered inside his home to see Avneet and Vaishnavi watching T.V and talking to each other sitting in the hall. He sadly smiled at them.

"How lucky Vaishu di is but my Avni isn't? Am I really punishing her knowing that I can never become a dad? I can never become a father but she can. Think about it Siddharth, you can't punish her like this for your whole life." Siddharth thought standing at the entrance only seeing her laughing with Vaishnavi. That's when Avneet's eyes caught him standing there looking at them.

"Siddharth, why are you standing there? Come sit with us." Demanded Avneet making him come out of his thoughts.

"Umm, yeah! Hi di, how are you?" He greeting asking her as he walked to them. She was sitting on the couch. Siddharth hugged her from behind while she cupped his cheek. He broke the hugg sitting on the other couch.

"God bless you! I am absolutely fine but you know your nephew troubles me sometimes." She joked smiling which made Siddharth chuckle.

"Ah, Siddharth I  totally forgot. I took your appointment for today." Avneet spoke all of a sudden. Siddharth raised his eyebrows.

"Appointment?" He uttered in confusion. Avneet nodded. Vaishnavi looked at him signing him to come and sit beside her. He did as she said not before looking at Avneet.

"I only told her to take appontment. I can't see my babybro sad like this. Have faith and hope. Everything will be fine soon." She consoled him indirectly asking him to visit doctor. He just nodded. She smiled. That's when they heard the door opening again. They looked to see Abhishek coming towards them.

"Hello ladies. How are you all and what's up my wifey and sister-in-law?" His tone had three of them chuckle. He sat on the arm of couch.

"All good." Avneet continued. She looked at Vaishnavi who signed her.

"Excuse me and Siddharth, we had to go." Said Avneet. Abhishek looked at them.

"But where?" Asked Abhishek.

"I'll tell you about it Abhi. Let them go." Expalined Vaishnavi looking at him.

"What about dinner?" He asked holding his groaning stomach due to hanger.

"It's ready. Come let's do it together and let them go." Vaishnavi assured him. Siddharth stood up and Abhishek patted his back. Siddharth and Avneet left to visit doctor.

Avneet was already sitting on the seat outside the ultrasound room tensed. Yes, they were in the hospital and doctor advised to take an ultrasound. Avneet was continuously biting her nails in nervousness when suddenly the door knob twisted and the door opened. Siddharth came sitting beside Avneet while she got attentive. He looked exhausted, after a hectic day and now this ultrasound.

"What happened? What did the doctor prescribed?" Asked Avneet curious keeping her hand on his shoulder. He looked at her.

"The doctor asked to wait till half an hour but seeing doctor's expressions I have lost that hope which was in me before coming here." Said Siddharth with a dull face and a dull voice. This bought tears in Avneet's eyes.

"Siddharth, please. Why you always hurt yourself by imagining all this?" She cried holding his hand. Siddharth remain silent, hopeless and looked away hopeless. They were called in after an hour or 45 minutes. They were currently sitting infront of doctor while the doctor was reading the report of ultrasound. Avneet looked at Siddharth while he also looked at her. She held his hand gently while he just smiled.

"See Mrs. Nigam, the report says it all. His wound at that place was deep enough to affect his reprodution system. Now, that wound is healed but it has left his sign. I can't give you guys much hope but yeah, maybe the therapies and medication help with it." The doctor explained in a low voice filled with sorrow. His explanation made Siddharth more helpless. He just looked at the doctor.

"A-Any chance of recovery?" He asked being straight and strong enough to handle the truth. The doctor looked at him blankly before speaking.

"30%" was his short answer. Avneet's grip on his hand tighten as she looked at him with terrified expressions.

"Maybe by medication and therapies it can increase to 70-80% but can't say anything. All depends on the will of the patient. In your case, I am hopeful. Here are some medicines and sessions that you should attend regularly." Prescribed the doctor writing some medicines. A tear fell from Siddharth's eye as soon as he heard the doctor. He looked at Avneet to see her wiping her tears and smiling forcefully looking at him. From that day, he lost his every hope which he had.

6 months passed like that only, Vaishnavi was now 7 months pregnant while Abhishek and Vaishnavi shifted with Siddharth and Avneet. Jannat was happy with her husband. She often visit her father and even live with them for 2 to 3 weeks also. Atika was same as she was, infact Abhishek and Vaishnavi's shifting affected her more. Siddharth had become pale. He had been taking sessions and treatments from past 6 months but no improvement was seemed. He lost his every hope and he was thinking himself incomplete, disabled. He wondered if he was punishing Avneet or not, who understood him, loves him more than herself. He started becoming workaholic, avoiding Avneet, coming home late when Avneet is slept, going to office in the earliest time was now like a routine to him. On Sundays also he was found in home that too only in his room. Abhishek and Vaishnavi were equally worried for him, making him understand, explaining him but he would only ignore this topic or asked to not talk about it again. Abhishek was equally disturbed by his behaviour, his brother wouldn't talk to him, wouldn't share his feelings as he used to before. In short, he has cutt himself from the world around him.

It was another Sunday today and Abhishek was home. Abhishek and Vaishnavi were on the dining table waiting for Siddharth to have breakfast with them while he was currently sitting on the floor hugging his knees, leaning on the bed keeping his head on it's edge staring the lights on the ceiling. His eyes didn't blinked for a second. He was like body without soul. That's when the door opened. Avneet entered inside looking at him while he didn't even heard that noice also. Avneet exhaled deeply walking towards him.

"Siddharth, please stop doing this to yourself. You are hurting me also. Come have breakfast with everyone.  Abhi bhai is waiting for you." Avneet spoke in a cracky voice sitting beside him keeping her head on his shoulder while he remained quiet, didn't even moved from his place.

"I am already hurting you Avneet but now I can't hurt you anymore." He spoke in deep voice straightning himself. Avneet looked at him confusingly.

"I-I have took a decision for you." He informed dragging her hands on his tightly. She looked at her still confused.

"It's my diability right? You are complete and you don't need to get punished because of me. I-I promised you to give you everything but-but I couldn't fulfill my promise. I-I am sorry and that's w-why I have decided to d-divorce you. You-you can live happily with anyone who can give you child also but I-I can'tgive you that. I-I'm sorry. I-I should divorce you. Yea!" Siddharth's sound cracked at the end bowing his head down controlling his tears. Avneet's eyes went wide open at his statement. An extreme anger rose inside her.
