Author's POV

The surroundings change drastically, they both fall in the pool filled with water at the same time.

"Jade!"

It is the first thing that Hoseok exclaims while running down the stairs in order to check the two people. He doesn't know how his hand slipped and the second he understood, it was too late.

Ready to jump in the pool, the unknown boy gasps out of the water with an unconscious Jade in his hands. He coughs out water while holding the girl tightly in his grasp.

"Is she okay?"

"I hope so.."

"Should we call the paramedics!?"

"Is she conscious?" Hoseok screams, silencing everyone in the room as the boy places Jade's unconscious body on the floor beside the pool.

But he doesn't respond, his own heart is about to burst out of his ribcage, he is too afraid and out of his wits— his main goal is to check the girl's condition first.

Placing one of his hand on the side of Jade's hand and the other hand slapping her cheek lightly— he calls, actually yells her name.

"Goeun—"

But he silences himself, almost instantly. Hoseok's eyebrows knits together for a mere second, but the need of the hour shifts towards her safety and well being, he brushes off the weird feelings.

"Miss, can you hear me? Talk to me!" He exclaims as he wipes the smeared eyeliner off her face.

"Jade, stay here please," Hoseok's own eyes waters up after hearing the sniffle coming from the boy's side.

But the girl remains still, no breathing at all.

"Someone call 911! Does anyone know CPR?" He screams at the top of his lungs, startling everyone.

The people standing around starts mumbling pitiful words for the girl and the two individuals near Jade shuts their eyes close, trying to keep the voices out of their head. As the doctor makes his way towards the two hyperventilating boys, the girl starts losing her pulse second by second.

"What's wrong— Jade!" Yoongi exclaims the second the unconscious girl's face comes in his eyes. He quickly throws his coat aside and rushes towards the unconscious girl.

"What happened, Hoseok!"

Even though Yoongi tries his best to maintain calm but instantly, he considers it all his fault. He was the one to invite her in this party, initially everything starts with him.

The girl's bestfriend seems to be completely out of his mind now. Hoseok keeps on mumbling and hitting himself as beads of tears fall out of his eyes.

"Did she try to dive? I saw her earlier, she was trying to jump off!"

"You are not supposed to dive in these pools!"

"Dumbass, don't go blaming the victims! She fell in!"

The boy who fell in the pool with Jade, he tries to ignore the mumbling but in vain— his clenched fists are the proof of his anger.

Only if he rushed out a little earlier, this wouldn't have happened. Keeping the girl safe was everyone's upmost priority and here comes the opposite— everyone is going to despise him now.

Nothing is going right. Her condition is already so sensitive and the crowd's rumblings makes everything worse. They are adding oil in the already violent fire.

Worse.

There, he is sitting on the floor, staring at Jade's face. Hoseok was on his knees, looking at her too while Yoongi performs the CPR.

"I need to record this! This is not that everyday happens!!" A boy exclaims, a guest that is standing right behind Hoseok as he apparently gets to hear it.

Hoseok stands up, snatches the younger's phone from his hands and throws it directly in the pool.

"Do you think it's the right time to do something like that?" Hoseok growls with tears flowing down his eyes.

"She is stable, but call 911 now!" Yoongi huffs out as the paramedics rushes towards their direction.

"Get aside, right there!"

People run out of the ambulance with a stretcher and immediately put Jade's unconscious body on it while buckling her up. Yoongi runs alongside as Hoseok and the other boy makes their way out too.

Hoseok jumps in the ambulance with Yoongi as the ambulance rushes towards the hospital.

Leaving the lone boy behind.

"Oh well well, what do we have here?"

The oh-so familiar voice for him appears from his side, heels clicking around and the disgusting touch on his arm approves of his doubt.

"Gyuri, you shouldn't have—"

"Why did you save her, Tae? Why did you get her out of the pool?"

"Why did you save her?"

And he is afraid of saying anything now.

The tables have turned drastically during the past years. After Goeun's— Jade's departure, the whole organization turned upside down. Now all that happens inside is according to the evil siblings— Gyuri and Gyong.

And today too, it was Gyuri's plan.

"Tae, I told you to act along, not save her. Here you made me a complete fool," She giggles and turns around to face him.

Taehyung has been assaulted by the siblings too much, he has becomes basically a living corpse. No feelings, no excitement for the next day— he is only a living toy for Gyuri.

No feelings attached but it can be from her side.

"Now, you are going to meet the consequences too, my love."
