Ashley's POV

I awoke to the sound of commotion, no one else seemed to be up, and the talking seemed to come from outside. I cautiously walked out, to see 3 figures talking, it was Mari, Joven and Alexia.

"G-Guys....What's going on?" I mumbled, rubbing my eyes.

"We.....we were just leaving..." Mari whispered, holding a bag.

"We can't put up with Felix's bullshit anymore!" Joven hissed, holstering his gun.

"W-Wait...what do you mean? A-And that's everything we have..." I muttered, getting my pistol out, I was shaking a little, but firmly kept my grip.

"Just....Don't tell them okay?" Joven pleaded, grabbing the remaining bags and turning to walk away.

"T-They're gonna find out anyway..." I replied, shaking the gun unevenly.

"Let them find out for themselves," Mari murmured, running away with Joven. They left instantly.

"Y-You brainwashed them..." I mumbled, stepping back slightly, "You're evil...Why the hell are you with us?" Alexia walked up to me and grabbed the gun from my hand, she pushed me to the floor and pointed it at me.

"You dare tell anyone what just happened, or how they escaped. Then it won't we be walkers that you'll have to worry about!" Alexia taunted me, venom coating every word she spoke. She threw my gun back at me and walked inside. I don't know what just happened, but I was extremely scared; she threatened me... and it was horrible. I walked into the house, terrified, but surprisingly wound up sleeping like a rock.

Ryan's POV

I was the first of the adults to be awake, it was only 6am, but that was according to my watch. The dawning light glowed upon the house, making the frozen lake shimmer and glisten, it was still extremely freezing, and Mari and Joven were nowhere to be found; along with three quarters of our supplies. I gently shook Anthony.

"Anthony. Wake up!" I whispered, shaking him lightly. He groaned a little, but got up reluctantly.

"What..?" Anthony moaned quietly, trying to keep his eyes open.

"Most of our supplies are gone, Mari and Joven are not here.." I half-whispered, half-yelled. This made Anthony shoot up quickly, he tiptoed towards the supplies and then walked back to me.

"Crap..." He muttered, rubbing his forehead slightly. "I think they robbed us and ran away...but why? That's not like them.."

"Maybe someone else knows about it?" I spoke quietly, looking at Felix, Mark, Ian, Alexia and Ashley, who were all still asleep.

~A Few Hours Later..~

Everyone was awake now, Ashley seemed a little anxious, so I approached her calmly, and asked if she was okay.

"Are you alright Ashley?" I questioned, putting my hand on her shoulder, I could feel her shaking just from one hand. What was she so scared about?

"Y-Y-Yeah...I'm fine.." She tried her best to pull a smile, but I could see right through it, I knew she was scared and hiding something.

"You know you can tell me anything...right?" I spoke softly, trying to calm her down slightly, you could see her panicking.

"Y-Y-Yeah...I do..." Ashley looked down straight away, fear and anxiousness controlling her every move. She kept looking at Alexia every so often, but each time I would look back, she wouldn't be there. I nodded.

"Let me know if you're upset or need anything, okay?" I smiled at her, which made her smile naturally, she nodded.

This house seemed to be stable enough, at least until we figure out where we're going from here. I walked over to Felix, who was out on the front porch, his head in his hands.

"You okay?" I asked, as I sat down next to him.

"Well...I- um.." Felix was lost for words, he was still upset about Marzia. "I-I..don't know how to answer that..." he stuttered very slightly, pain and fear escaping his words.

"It's gonna be okay.." I put my hand on his shoulder, I was his best friend after all.. "We'll get through this..."

"I...I-I can't believe she j-just...." Felix spoke loudly, shock fulfilled his voice. He almost burst out in tears, but held them back, he continued. "She just...s-shot her... before anyone had the c-chance to do anything!" he wiped his red, puffy eyes as he began to hold back more tears of frustration.

"Ashley's acting suspicious too.." I blurted out of the blue, I had to get his mind off it, right?

"W-What do you mean?" Felix looked at me in confusion.

"She's stuttering and always looking at Alexia, she's really shaky even if I put my hand on her shoulder... she afraid of something..." I explained, sighing deeply.

"Alexia definitely has something to do with it.." Felix mumbled, he clenched his fists and huffed.

"We can't just point it out though...We need evidence..." I ran my fingers through my hair in thought, how were we supposed to prove it? As me and Felix walked in, Alexia had Ashley against the wall by just her neck, she dropped her instantly and grabbed her gun, pointing it at her before we could say anything.

"You tell anyone what you just saw, then she will suffer a painful death...You don't want to get on the wrong side of me.." Alexia whispered evilly.

"You better not fucking hurt her!" Felix hissed, edging towards her. She locked and loaded her gun.

"Watch yourself Felix! You don't want anything to happen to Ashley now, do you?" Alexia smirked evilly as Felix backed up, she holstered her gun and walked away. Ashley was just sitting on the floor in shock, her hand on her neck, she was breathing unevenly and heavily.

"It's okay.." I quickly pulled her in for a hug.

"We won't let her hurt you anymore.." Felix talked softly, smiling reassuringly. Ashley nodded and hugged us both.
This world is fucked up, its hiding unspeakable crap at every turn. I won't let Alexia get away with this, even if its the last thing I do...

Ian's POV

I walked with Anthony around to the front of the house, a massive frozen lake lay before us, gleaming in the heat-impaling sun, it wasn't warm enough for the ice to melt, but if it stops walkers, then I don't mind at all.

"Doesn't look like there's a way around.." I sighed, looking across at the frozen lake.

"We could walk over it, so long as we don't clump together, if we stayed spread out." Anthony suggested, scratching the back of his neck. "And if we walk slowly, we might be able to make it."

"Maybe..I suppose that's the only plan we've got.. It could work, aside the consequences..." I scanned the scenery once again.

Just past the frozen lake, there was a massive open area with lots of hills. A small cabin could be seen on the far left and an electricity tower could be seen not far off from where we were standing, maybe the power was still working?

"Hey.... there's a electricity tower just there... and a small cabin. Just past the hills, there could be areas to scavenge, where we could find animals to hunt?" I inquired, pointing to the hills on the other side of the lake.

"Maybe.. Looks like it's our best shot." Anthony sighed slightly.

We walked back inside, Ashley didn't look too good, she looked breathless, Felix and Ryan were trying to soothe her, but it didn't look like it was working.

"Are you okay Ashley?" I asked, her eyes filled with fear.

"We'll er.... tell you what happened later..." Ryan muttered glaring at Alexia.

"So...erm...we should keep moving north, we can travel over the ice, but we need to spread out, not clump together and walk slowly. That way, we can get to the other side safely," Anthony explained, everyone either nodded or smiled in agreement.

"Yeah, that'll work!" Alexia grinned in agreement, putting her hand on her hip. "I've done it before, if we go slow and spread out, we should pretty much make it."

"Er...okay then! When should we leave?" Anthony asked curiously, crossing his arms.

"We should bide our time.. We'll leave before it gets dark.." I smirked slightly, comforting Ashley.

Mark's POV (5PM)

We all grabbed the supplies that were left over and walked out of the house. The cold air hitting our faces and causing our breath to be visible. I gazed at the frozen lake, which looked extremely thin, we carefully walked across it. My leg wasn't in good shape, even after this long, I limped my way across, Ian, Ryan and Felix had made it. That just left me, Ashley and Alexia to make it back. But as I continued walking, I heard ice crack underneath me, I stopped in my tracks, looking down at the engraved lines surrounding my feet....Shit...
